  1. Does anyone have experience of using a steering wheel lock on the RC F? Just thinking about theft deterrents. Got myself some key pouches, so hopefully that’s one issue addressed, my German Shepard is starving and on standby, is a steering wheel lock worthwhile? The Stoplock pro elite fitting guide doesn’t mention RC compatibility. cheers
  2. Given the price I got it for I couldn’t say no, would have regretted not doing it and would have wasted money in the process.
  3. Looks amazing! enjoy! 👍
  4. Delighted to say my RCF will be Quicksilver equipped when I pick her up next Thursday.... Vroom vroom 😁
  5. Yeah I tried to get my dealer to do that, nothing doing 😕 I’m going to hold fire on picking up the extra warranty and potentially stick a quicksilver on her. I can’t do both right now, I’m in too deep 🤑
  6. I’m thinking about keeping it under warranty, hence the dealer stamp. Lexus Nottingham have been 1st class with my dad for years now and my nearest Toyota independent is 1hr 20 mins away. Had I gone C63, Merc has two good independent centres here which I would have not hesitated to use. Do Lexus pretty much always have the 2 4 1 warranty deal running? If so, it gives me a year to consider my options. Your help is invaluable guys, I would say pics coming soon, but I think you’ve probably seen enough of this particular RC F 😅 I’d have to wrap it some mental colour, drop it and put on a flying wing to make it worthwhile posting photos 😂
  7. 10000 miles, that’s much more like it! Is it 5k state side? They seem to do well in terms of tyre wear!
  8. Forgot to ask, servicing is going to have to be a dealer stamp. I know she’s just had a service and MOT, but do they really have to go in every 5000 miles? For me that’s 3 services a year (almost) doh 😣 I normally investigate more thoroughly before buying a car. I was planning to sign up for a service plan, is that what most people do? I’m sure the lad I spoke to said it was around £1700 for 3 services.
  9. They do make superb tyres imho
  10. @Big Rat I’ve messaged @Womble72 Quicksilver related. Cheers
  11. That’s great to know. It does sound exactly what I’m looking for from the videos I’ve seen. If I get my finance payments waived on my current car I’d be sorely tempted! 😍 its nice to know that it’s a quiet burble on the motorway, I spend a lot of time on there!
  12. That’s interesting, I’d assumed I was with Toyota finance, not sure now, but I’ve contacted the dealer to confirm. That’s great to know Toyota allow it! Did the exhaust make much difference to your insurance? Just to clarify from your post, the callipers and wheels were painted post factory by Lexus? It’s just so I can tell the insurance company. Sorry for all the questions Big Rat. UPDATE, The finance is through Lexus financial services.
  13. Great pics! 😃 Paul, if it’s any consolation, she will be loved by me and will want for nothing. I would love to do the exhaust, but just concerned about Lexus finance not liking it. I’ve heard horror stories of finance companies threatening to repossess cars as They've come to hear about their cars being modified 😕
  14. I’ve taken the car using Lexus HP finance, I don’t think I’m allowed any modifications given it is still their car (technically) but otherwise 100% I’d be wanting to look into that! Delighted to hear she was looking good!
  15. Music to my ears. I plan to keep her long term, normally I change my car regularly but this one I fully intend to keep. Am I right in saying they are keyless entry? If so, do people recommend a faraday cage purse or similar for use at home to protect from theft? Cheers
  16. Thanks 😃 There was no movement on the price at all, but with so few on the market, I can understand it. I always use Autotrader / Cargurus and it wasn’t listed on either, I happened across it on my one and only visit to the Lexus website. Just delighted I saw it. I was originally looking at the Carbon one at Chester, but I’m not overly keen on the orange and I really wanted cooled seats 😆
  17. I must admit I love them. I have yellow ones on my Alfa. I wish he’d left the Quicksilver on! 😂
  18. Lol I do enough of that at work 😅 Was that on the Michelin’s?
  19. YES it was Big Rats as it turns out 😄 just checked his profile pics and it looks remarkably familiar, does he know he’s sold it 😂
  20. Can’t wait, absolutely buzzing. Not seen it or driven it, but not exactly many to choose from and another buyer was lined up. Love the black wheels and orange brembo’s
  21. Well change the title of the thread..... SHE’S ALL MINE 😍
  22. 159, cracking looking car, but I think the Giulia JUST has the edge. Also they are uber safe when it comes to passenger occupancy, so insurance is very, very reasonable. A Giulia owner was T-Boned on a junction (whilst stationary) by a driver doing approx 50mph through a red light. The car was ruined, the car had impacted right into the offside front door, the collision moved his car sideways by 10ft I believe. The driver walked away with a cut to his finger and promptly ordered another Giulia.
  23. Nothing new, my salesman was on a day off yesterday. I reserved the car just before the dealership closed on Sunday, I have some PCP figures to hand, the interest rate is relatively low for a second hand car, but the total interest charged is always difficult to swallow. I have requested some HP figures as well, I think dealer finance is the way to go, more chance of being accepted given they own the car. Sorting out the handover of my Alfa, hopefully further news today. I’m trying to get them to waive my final payments due to the reliability of my vehicle so far during the lease. I know they’ve been accommodating to others in the past. Worst case it’s 40% of 4 months rentals so it’s not completely earth shattering, but still better off in my pocket. I haven’t even viewed the car, putting my faith in the dealership and the full warranty. Might be stupid, but I’ve always wanted an RCF and I should be able to trust a Lexus dealer.
  24. I used to enjoy waking up to the sound of my neighbours R8 V10 starting up in the morning. They’re trying to take away all our fun. Honestly, don’t people have anything better to do than moan?
