Congrats on your new car, certainly looks smart in blue with those wheels.

I once had the use of an M140 for a day while my old car was getting work done, was impressed with how well it went. Practical and fast, nice interior too, and more roomy than one would think for BMW's smallest offering.
Can only imagine 4wd makes it even better.

Ironically, the one thing I miss most now is the thick steering wheel 😄

    Cheers 👍

I've still not really driven it, waiting for some trim clips to arrive, thank you royal mail 🙄

Love the wheels, I shall try and keep them in the condition they are in lol

Its not exactly an M140, no straight 6 or rwd bias, but im not one of those who deliberately gets the back end to step out, so its no issue to me 😄

Maybe door mirror caps? Not sure if black grille comes with Pro Pack.

We got 18% off my last M4 and nearly 30% off this 140i as they were being pushed hard.

I will approach Tony . Several dealers have said the same so far ,even on basic cars they have in stock .Maybe the uncertainty of Brexit will lift and with lockdown they will look to be more aggresive.

@AJ500 nailed it. I've changed the ceylon grey parts to gloss black 😁

Anyway, enough about my German invader 😄

    Floor mats.

I am told anything over 11% was only achievable when first lockdown ended and BMW were giving the dealers an extra margin to shift stock.Stock is very thin at the moment.I dont accept these figures but need to find another car to actually haggle over. Our 140 has proven even more popular since it stopped production and so far the bids on it are pretty good.

As this is our second car I must stay below the £40 k and that means a pretty basic spec.Thats OK as its very good anyway.
We are used to the brilliant i drive but I have no complaints over my LC system.Apple carplay etc is of no interest to me.The Lexus Mark Levinson is very good as is the HK in the BMs we have had.

Let us know how it goes when you can get some miles on.

    A J.

@AJ500 will do. Correct i have changed the mats, well spotted 😄

But its something I'd think is even  more obvious, on the exterior.

The dealer is fobbing you off. Somebody got 19% off only a few weeks ago.

As I say, contact Tony, he's honest and will let you know where he's at immediately.

Mine was a car on the production line that could be adjusted.

Big discounts are achievable on BMW's, just find the dealer desperate to shift cars to make commission.

I love the LC, stunning car.

  4. @AJ500 Ahhh, that's not quite the change i was thinking of, but I have made a few enhancements 😄

They are 19's 552M bi colour diamond cuts, part of the plus package. Its supposed to handle better on 19's and the ride is definitely softer than on the RCF.

I got a 14.5% discount on a new order, I guess given the brexit trade deal is done, dealers should know where they stand a bit better and deals should be there. I rushed my deal as I had to.

15% is about the best you can do, but I think one or two have done better.

Try Tony at TRL, knows his stuff and no bs. You'll find more info on babybmw forum.

I've literally driven it home and thats it. Seats ... dare I say... are more supportive and comfortable than the RCF's 😬

i'll know more after a motorway run.

I'm expecting the economy long term to be slightly better than the V8, but there won't be much in it.

I truly hope that Lexus up their infotainment game, idrive 7 is just wow in comparison.

  5. By way of an update, my new toy arrived the other day. Not had a chance to driver her yet, but first impressions are positive.

Seats are awesome and overall build quality i have to say, is Lexus-esque.

Steering wheel is too thick, only downside I can think of as of now.

Can't comment on the drive yet.

    Pics are rubbish so apologies.

The eagle eyed will spot a subtle change I've already made.

I think I’d really miss my ISF if I sold it.

Its not perfect, but it’s really got a personality unlike the fast Audi we had, it’s only 1-2 times a year we really need the extra estate load carrying capacity

im under a bit of financial pressure too, but I think I’ll just buy Aldi beans not Waitrose ones 🧐

I don't blame you. My wife told me too keep it, but I just knew what I had to do unfortunately.

House extension going up next year and I needed to up our contingency, amongst other reasons.

Be interested to know what actual discount you have been offered on a M135i.

I had one for a day when our M140i was serviced so did a back to back comparison. We are contemplating whether to change the 140 as it approaches 3 years old and we are even considering a Lexus hybrid or yet another BMW.I know these are not comparable but I have the LC for luxury and fun etc.

The 140 is definitely the better drivers car,in my opinion. You cannot compete with a 6 cylinder engine, mated to the superb 8 speed ZF auto. However, the new 135 has a better spec and interior but suffers from the less than attractive front end now the longer bonnet has gone.

Hope you get the deal you want.

I got the best part of a 15% discount and 2.9% apr. Tiny deposit and relatively low monthly.

That was quick! Just had a look at the advert, looks an awesome car!

Young lad at work has just got a new m135i, I always wind him up calling it an X2 but it is a nice car, just not for me even though I'm a BMW nut and i couldn't hack paying the amount a month that they are.

But I suppose it's all relative if you were paying more on the RCF and it was all about what you're paying out short term! Now we are moving into the cold and wet you'll appreciate the constant traction too!

The X Drive system will certainly ease some of my worries if we get a bad winter.

I'm saving around £360 a month, I'm due about £1500 in rebates, I save on payments for 2 months, plus consumables will be cheaper on the 1.

I just could not justify keeping her. I've 100% done the right thing for my family. We hopefully are doing some home improvements, so it will help my budget.

You're right, she is awesome, maybe I should have done sale or return, I was offered 1k more to do so.

It would have been ideal to do a deal with a member, as they would have had 1.5 years lexus warranty, but I couldn't really afford to wait for someone to come along.

Sub 5 seconds to 62 mph, 300 horses from a 4 pot, a vastly superior infotainment system, quite practical to boot plus add on your monthly savings ....loads of redeeming features in my book...sorry I forgot it has the' badge of doom '...:wink3:

Is that the beastie up for sale in Harrogate I see ? Best of luck with the new motor.

I refuse to look, it will break my heart.

But thanks for your encouragement. I will ignore the badge 😅

I just hope it proves to be half as reliable as my former partner in crime.

Please if someone on here buys her, look after her, the tyres are all but new, as are the brakes.

The carbon fibre upgrades I did, look beautiful imho and of course the quicksilver.

Saw the a M135i today in the exact spec I've ordered. Its a great looking car, especially with a couple of minor changes.

I truly hope things pick up and in a few years I eventually get that LC.

I've heard a lot of guys who own these saying they are scary and unpredictable in wet weather. Handling is supposed to be pretty numb and aside from having a nice engine which has plenty of power they are very limited as a drivers car. I like the idea of them but I don't know if like a car that can't handle its power.

Or are you talking about the new 4 cylinder one? I certainly hope not....i can't see any redeeming features on them.
