Just double check that you have not bent the metal brake shield/guard behind the disc as it maybe rubbing on the disc...
hi, thanks for the reply but the guard doesnt appear to be bent or close to the wheel

Hi guys,
I've just changed all the discs/pads (inc the handbrake shoes) on my 2001 is200,
The problem i now have is that theres a constant scraping sound coming from the 2 rear wheels, i've loosened the handbrake adjustment right off and still no difference, also whilst driving the car and applying the brakes or handbrake the noise doesn't change.
Has anyone ever come across this problem before? or would it be best to take the car to a garage?
Thanks

Can the filter cause the air con to smell slightly when being used?

Postcodes only cover one road/street each and on mine you can put in a postcode and a number.
I find postcode very useful as i travel all over the country with my work and often need to find companys etc and its far easier to enter a postcode than to enter a city and street name.

Hi people,
I bought a hid conversion kit a few weeks ago and about a week ago 1 side failed, now the other side has failed.
I tried putting the original bulbs back in but they dont work so i'm guessing the fuse has gone.
Does anyone know where the fuse is for the headlights as i can't find it
Hope someone can help.
Thanks

Hi,
I have a slight problem with my 2001 is200 power steering, when cold the steering can be very heavy and a bit juddery.
I'm thinking its the power steering fluid? Does anyone know how to change the fluid and what to put in? also how much fluid does the is200 take?
Thanks

what happens if you change your wheels for the standard 17's to the lexus 18's? sure it can't affect the sat nav in anyway
-
You can't buy these from the dealer anymore i had to make 3 40 mile round trips to the dealership (nottingham) to buy these then told me they are no longer available.
-
Thanks for the reply, thats what i thought.
I don't understand why lexus nottingham have told me it'll need doing in october when i'd of owned the car for 18 months? but saying that it is lexus nottingham so i wouldn't expect anything else, after all the problems i've had from them.

Hi,
I've had my 4 year old is200 for nearly a year but i don't no when it needs servicing.
I bought the car with 62K on the clock and it was serviced at 60K and it now has 67K on it.
Will it need servicing at 70K or after a year (which is any time now), the dealer told me it doesn't need doing until october? but i don't no if they've worked that out by what i told them what my average millage would be when i bought it?
Can someone please help?
Thanks

Hi,
As you may have seen in some other posts on this forum i'm thinking of selling my is200 which i've only had for a few months as i can't stand the dealership, but what i would like to no is if i transfer my no claims off my car policy to an insurance policy for a van as this may be counted as comercial insurance?
Anyone Help?
Thanks

I like the bit which says
"There are no signs that this vehicle has ever been smoked in" and the other bit,
"There are no records of any prior collision damage"
As if any of that really matters!!

Still works out cheaper than any other network, this is why i have changed my talk plan on orange to talk 30 (£15 a month) as i have only had it a few months and started another contract with this network in the long run it will work out a lot cheaper!
For anyone who doesn't understand the maths behind it:
first 3 month £15 not £30 but e2save give you an extra £10 back ( on the 6th month) to make it £4.99
Then you pay £30 a month for the next 9 months which you get £25.01 back on the 6th/12th month
so in total from e2save you get £30 for the first 3 months and £25.01 for each of the following 9 months
30 + (9 * 25.01) = 255.09 which split into two payments is 127.56
Hope that makes sense????

Check this out ( the middle one on the bottom row) you can even get it slightly cheaper but the 4.99 one seems the best value, hence the reason i have just ordered mine, theres no connection and no delivery charge. you also get 3 months free insurance! ( its 500 mins and 100 texts a month)
Look :

Thought i would share with some others what i have found!!
