  1. Sadly not, it remains one of life’s mystery’s 🤪
  2. I had the same phenomenon a few times, never worked out what it was though (unlock followed by locking woke it up each time though) Rgds Jim
  3. I can’t remember off the top of my head (will check later), but I reset mine post a DIY service, so it’s doable via the Screen. Rgds Jim
  4. LS460 Version: Ignition on (or engine running) & parked. Switch lights to OFF Push and hold the INFO button Turn lights to ON, OFF, ON, OFF, ON, OFF Diagnostic menu will then pop up (Nav, audio, Lan, GPS etc etc) Cheers Jim
  5. OBD2 software won’t capture Lexus specific fault codes, those faults will need dealer software to read and resolve. Jim PS - fault is likely to be the Radar sensor as that is common to all those errors
  6. LS460 Is V8 Petrol, LS600 is the V8 Hybrid.
  7. Internet pint on it’s way to you Sir !! Half a can of easy start later and it spluttered into life spitting clouds of fuel out of the exhausts (took a minute or so to clear). No real diagnosis of why, other than maybe change the plugs if they’re getting old - I guess it’s one of those “time will tell” moments as to whether it was a one off or something else is going on. Hats off to the RAC though, phoned them at 09:00, man and a van on my drive by 10:00 - can’t grumble at that! Thanks All, Jim
  8. Don’t think the LS460 has a hole for a key (that I could find anyway), my gut feel is that it’s either MAP, MAF or cam sensor gone, RAC out tomorrow and then pack it off to Lexus if they can’t do a home start on it. Thanks all Jim
  9. Balls 😞 Car started this morning for about 5 seconds then cut out - odd as it’s never done that before. Tried starting again but just cranked over and over with no hint of life. Bought a new battery for it this evening (eliminate the easy) and it cranks but won’t start, every 4th or 5th crank cycle (10ish seconds on the starter motor) it coughs and splutters and then gives up. So rather than fanny about I’m just going to chuck it at a Garage to fix (RAC can flat bed it away when I call them) unless anyone has any pearls of wisdom? Does anyone know of a good independent within shooting distance of Wokingham? If not I’ll resign my self to a walletectomy at Lexus Reading. Thanks all Jim
  10. I’m going to say that you need a new Camshaft pulley and belt! And that’s about it. I’m assuming that the 400 has the non-interference engine (ie Valves don’t hit the pistons when this happens). Rgds Jim
  11. You can adjust each shock by +/-20mm in the software (offset), any more and you will need to adjust the level sensors (then measure/reset the heights) - it’s in the suspension setting under utilities. Rgds Jim
  12. On the LS460 You can use Techstream to manipulate each individual damper (0 soft to 17 hard), but that’s just for testing & diagnosis. I’d guess it’s the same on earlier models. Jim
  13. 460 has a chain 😉 Service history is about risk. Otherwise bounce the corners to check shocks, check all the electrics, floppy glovebox is 30 mins work, preferable would be replaced arms (or bushes), brakes are diy cheap. Rgds Jim
  14. Lowered, bespoilered, tubbed, couple of blowers, roll cage - come on man stop being a tease and tell us what you’ve done 😂 Looking forward to this one Jim
  15. So near and yet so far! Having cleared the codes and got everything back to normal I noticed that the Parking Brake was now, erm, garbage! I put it down to old shoes on new Disk/drum so ordered and fitted new parking brake shoes. Still Garbage! Bugger 🤯 So it turns out that after releasing the EPB manually that I will now need to reset the “Zero Point” and/or initialise the EPB actuator PERFORM PARKING BRAKE SHOE BEDDING (a) Perform parking brake shoe bedding See: Testing and Inspection/Programming and Relearning. Here is where I am going to need some help! I can only find part of the manual that explains how to do this (I’ve done the manual brake shoe adjustment already) electronically via Techstream - does anyone have a link to the other pages of This supplement to the workshop manual Or if someone knows what to do in Techstream that would be even better ? Many thanks Jim
