H Nigel, Sorry for the delay, I've not been getting notifications that I can see. P/N 52257-24010 & 52258-24010 (left & right). Cost was £67.35 each and I was charged £50 labour....It's bloody marvelous.

I have done 5 trips to North Norfolk and back to Gloucestershire since March this year, all roof up, 2 people, 2 dogs, boot full. Weather has been mainly fair but some rain, traffic variable but mainly good. Route M4, M25, M11, A14, A11/A134/A1065/A148 to Cromer. All at legal maximum conditions allowing. Total distance c1500 miles Average MPG 30.1 Fuel Used: Tesco Momentum 99 (mainly) & Shell V-Power. I am happy with this.

On the recent MOT it was noted that these were corroded, one severely. I have had them replaced. Never has such a simple job transformed the drive more unexpectedly, drives like a new car now. If anyone has that slight shimmy at around 50/60 mph that some mention, I'd change these first before embarking on expensive suspension mods.

Hi Anthony, Thanks for this and great to meet you on Saturday, despite best efforts I couldn't get back Sunday. Well done to all for the organisation, great location.

Suspension refresh SC 430 2007, 108,000 miles on it.

Hi Jack, Quick update. My parts arrived from Amayama, brilliantly easy to deal with, parts as advertised, all fitted by my guys locally (the tech there is Toyota trained and loves my FJ Cruiser too🙂) So, 4 new Type C wheels (off the forum) all TPS replaced, 4 new Michelin Cross-Climates, new height controller installed & working, passenger window adjusted, fluids service and bingo! It's driving like a new car & no warning lights on and no suspension work needed. 2 trips to Norfolk & back, 2 up and 2 dogs plus luggage got 29mpg running E5 fuel only, total distance 1250 miles. Bloody marvellous. Thanks again for the Amayama contact.. Best regards. Nick -

Thanks Jack, will do. I'm using it as my daily now so want to get it as perfect as possible. I placed an order with Amayama today for an Electronic Height Controller to see how they perform, quoting a week, from stock, half the price Lexus wanted. I'll see how that goes, thanks for the contact. Oh, these just arrived🙂 -

This is what I am thinking about. There appear to be kits on ebay but the cost varies wildly for what appears to be the same thing and who knows about the quality. I have the Amayama list and am waiting for a set of SC430 repair manuals to arrive from the US. Once I've got them I will get my normal guys in Gloucester to quote for the work. I recently sourced (on here) a nearly new set of original wheels, this combined with a new set of Michelin Cross-Climate tyres has totally transformed the front end (drives beautifully now) so may hold off depending on the cost. -
Does anyone have a set of Lexus SC430 Repair manuals?? I believe they are a set of 3. If anyone does have them all or individual ones and are looking to move them on, please get in touch. Nick

Re: Wheels, Wheels, Wheels I like being the bearer of positive news so here goes. A couple of weeks ago I got my 2006 SC430 out of storage to use a a daily for the foreseeable. The car has done 70k and the wheels are showing their age so I wanted to refurb them. The challenge as always is getting wheels off and shipped and blah-blah, you know the rest! So I put out a call to see if anyone had a set of original wheels I could purchase to get refurbished. Happily former SC430 owner WESTIE (of this Parish) wanted to sell his wheels after selling his car, they are as new!! He contacted me yesterday with the offer, we agreed a price and I have just collected them!! That Ladies & Gentleman is what this Forum is all about, this is how we keep these great, underrated cars alive. I am one happy bunny. Thanks to WESTIE.

Evening All, Reading the above with interest as mine is now out of storage and is to be my daily for the foreseeable. My my main focus is on ride comfort and quality, I'm not a fan of so called 'sporty' handling mods that make a harsh crashy ride. Can the coilovers be set to improve or match the ride of the standard set up? Is there a recommendation for a make of coilover? Is the attached suspension set up available as a kit does anyone know? Thanks in advance. Nick

Hello, Your project interests me as I drove an 06 model (same as mine but with 20k miles on it not the 70k that is on mine) and was impressed with how much tauter and positive it felt. Like you I'm only interested in a standard set up and would love to know where you acquired the suspension kit from as I would like to renew all of mine. I have seen kits (see attached) on Ebay from the US but am wary ...did you get something like this from one place or was it a trawling exercise? Any help you could provide most appreciated. Best regards. Nick

I believe so, yes but don't quote me😊

Hi Anthony, Thanks for this. It's great to have the car out of storage, serviced and with a new set of Michelin Cross-Climates on. It's going to be my daily for the next few months and I love driving it. I may be bias but I think it is the best colour combo. I look forward to meeting you in June. Best regards. Nick

I have a 2006 SC430 with (I believe) Type C wheels. I would like to get them refurbed and would ideally like to obtain a 2nd set or even individual wheels. If anyone knows of a set available I'd be much obliged.
