  1. @PhilEFT If you're after a manual with cheaper tax then you need '55 or early '06 plate cars. My mate is selling his IS250, around 110,000miles, black on black, sat nav M&L car, automatic. Think he's after around 2500-3000.. Had it for years, just upgraded to something with folding rear seats.
  2. 145,000km / 90,000miles isn't concerning at all. Especially if it's been serviced every year by the main dealer.. 10k/year for a 8-9 year old car is average. Don't forget that you need to look at it as IS300h etc. Taxis around with 300k+ miles. You will be fine, but I would obviously expect the price to reflect on the mileage, despite the mileage not necessarily being an indicator of the its condition. Well maintained car with lots of miles > poorly maintained car with low miles.
  3. It will be fine.. They're coilovers. Everything is the same, same brand, same preload, same spring rates. Once that one settles in, there should be no inbalance.
  4. You can buy these bumper brackets.. They sell metal ones to stop it from hanging. https://www.maclifterkit.co/collections/lexus-is250-350/products/mlk-is250-350-2006-13-front-bumper-gap-reducer
  5. I wouldn't count on it.. depends on use. My clutch was done at 140k and the DMF was fine to re-use.. no heat spots or anything. There are no OE replacements for DMF unfortunately, so SMF is the "cost effective" way, but it's crap. It makes a big difference.. Even I wouldn't go for SMF in this car. @MrTrendizzle I used Exedy Clutch kit and kept OEM DMF, so check with the garage about the condition of the DMF or see for yourself if you know what you're doing.
  6. You regretting the purchase yet? By the time you're done fixing the issues, you could've had a very nice SE-L with lowish miles.😅
  7. Lasts 100,000miles.. if you cut corners then you’ll end up with the same car you picked up
  8. Sounds like he's sh!t and unsure of his sexuality if he can't even say "pink coolant" 🤣
  9. Pothole at some speed will do that. Your alignment is out, so that's gonna be another £60-100 for that. There isn't a whole lot adjustable on these cars, so there will be something bent slightly if you have Toe in.. on the front of the car you want toe to be 0 or ~2mm out for some fun driving better turn in.
  10. Reasonable I mean it's not awful these days.. but £70 for a coil swap is ridiculous. Jack up the front of the car, and swap the fronts. Don't do just one, it will be awful. Different spring rates, compression etc. Fronts are easier to do than the rears. Bring it to me and I'll do both fronts for you for £50 🤣
  11. and if you're really lucky you won't have to pay anything even on higher value orders. They don't check every single parcel. I paid nothing on my £400 tail lights from japan
  12. Amayama is good.. it's all stocked in UAE & Japan so not exactly next day delivery, but it's a lot cheaper than the main dealer.. I was just looking at something for my Mark X the other day.. £18.52 from Amayama and the dealer in the UK wanted £81 lol
  13. Yeah, but your error isn't stopping you from driving. When the pump sh!ts itself, you won't drive at all
  14. Lol, sounds like your mechanic is a replacer, not a fixer. Change your water pump while the rad is out..
  15. Hi James, is your manual or auto? I might potentially be looking for a cheap manual to use as a road legal drift car
  16. I’d advise against 5W30 C3 as they tend to drink it. Not had oil issues with 5W30 A5B5 grade
  17. Are you checking the coolant when the car is cold? Like you should check in the morning when it's been stood out for a while. When it's cold, it needs to be on the Low mark. After driving the car, it should go up.. Pink spots everywhere could be your spillage, could be a leak too. Clean everything off and see if it does it again. You must have a leak somewhere. Maybe you don't see it under the car, but when you're driving, water gets hot and when it's pressurised it will then come out of some hairline cracks in the hose etc. Water pump can be leaking, check around the thermostat, those are normally the first areas where coolant stains would appear.
  18. Tbh TEIN are made in China 😂 so despite being a japanese brand, they aren't made in Japan anymore. Wouldn't surprise me if they sold their own version of the same thing for cheaper, in which case it will be a good deal regardless
  19. It looks like TEINs.. I've never heard of fake TEINs as Linas is saying. Certainly not when it comes to a set for this car.. Get in touch with TEIN UK, they can rebuild them. Saves you money if it's just the one that's shot. https://uk.tein.com/service/oh_revalving_additional_labor_cost.html
  20. No, that’s for the entire chassis. Doesn’t matter if it was Se-L, f sport, advance or SE. None of them had auto folding mirrors, but they all have electric mirrors. You have to press a button on the door. i don’t know. You get water in the boot if your vents are blocked. It’s moisture rather than straight up water.
  21. 2IS never had “auto” folding mirrors. You could only fold them via the button on the door. You can retro fit auto folding function upon locking the car but the button would always work..
  22. My dad just picked up a 2019 IS300h F-Sport a week ago. He gets ~40mpg on his 3mile journey to work. On the motorway at 75mph he was getting ~61mpg with standard 255s.. It's honestly a lot more than I thought it would be able to achieve. I already told him to put 235s on the back of it when it's time to do the tyres, it should improve it a bit more.
  23. Chain rattle is normal on higher mileage cars. Generally speaking, if the cars always been serviced on time they’re less likely to do it but it’s kinda inevitable for all of them at some point in their life. Don’t worry. there’s no fix but it never causes any issues. I don’t know about the other things. Could be the exhaust. 45mm piping is too narrow.. stock pipes are ~64mm.. get under the car and measure the pipe size by the cats.
  24. Pretty sure the stock system is 2.5” or 63mm.. that’s the size of the midpipe at least. I know that from buying ex exhaust
  25. It does that when it's cold.. don't rev it cold 😂 Also I find it weird that your CEL is not on when your TC is.. TC light comes on with CEL.. maybe it's been taped over / hidden.. can you see the CEL before you start the car?
