Hi. I'm attempting to install aftermarket 360 camera set on my 2004 LS430. Does anybody have any idea how I can fish a wire from the cabin to the engine bay? Thanks

I'm thinking of manually adjusting the steering position to suit my driving. I may purchase the motor when something comes up within my budget. I managed to source a brand new OEM reverse camera for around £40 all in from the States. A friend of mine was coming over from Floria so I got him to bring it over. You can get great deals on eBay USA. After haggling I managed to get it for a bargain. £2800.

Actually you do have a point. I've managed to source one for £60. Will be getting it. Some idiot nicked my antenna. Now I'll have to hunt for an antenna.

Great! Didn't know I could move the steering manually. Actually, I don't use it so fixing in a comfortable position and leaving it there would be better for me. The camera at £80 seems quite expensive. Am I able to install an aftermarket one in place of the original one without cutting wires etc.?

So I went ahead and purchased the car. The previous owner had it for a year and a half and performed some maintenance. 3 previous owners. The book only had 1 Lexus stamp. However, after having registered the car on 'My Lexus' portal, I found that it has Lexus service history till 98k. So that's cool. Cam belt was done at 77k. Unfortunately, the tilt motor and the reverse camera don't work. Was wondering if there is a DIY fix for this.

I've seen a 2004 LS430 with 104k on it. Can belt changed at 77k. 2 keys and 4 owners will mostly private service history. Doesn't have the wood on the steering wheel. Not sure why or if it was changed. Is £3500 okay for it? Your valuable views will be welcome. Failed on previous MOT which states the following reason for the failure: Engine MIL inoperative or indicates a malfunction (8.2.1.2 (h)) Electronic stability control warning lamp indicates a fault (7.12 (e)) Advice would be appreciated. I've seen a 2005 LS430 with 95k on it. 2 owners and according to the MOT History it's only been driven a few thousand miles in the past few years. would £3500 be an okay price for it? Bodywork ain't that good.

I'm thinking of keeping it long term so struts will come on if things fail. Thanks

Perhaps I'll probably change the radiator annually. They don't seem to be too expensive on eBay. Even a cheap Chinese one should last a year or more.

So this means that even the 2004 had the leak issue...?

I regrettably sold it. It was an amazing car and just what I wanted. Had to get it over from Ireland. Now, in the mood to get back to the Lexus. My Toyota Auris isn't giving me my satisfaction..

Hello, I'm thinking of getting an LS30 (2004) with around 150k miles on it for £4000. Worth it? I've heard that the air shocks die and the car can be worth scrap because they're so expensive to replace. Also, do the facelift Ls430s have the coolant issue where it leaks into the transmission and messes everything up? What kind of LS430 should I be looking for ideally? I can wait and perhaps even save up dosh to get the one I'm content with. Your advice will be appreciated. Thanks

It's in daily use. I do 150 miles a week (on LPG). Not sure what's going on with the coolant levels.

spoke too soon. I topped up and for some reason the coolant dissappears and goes low again. Does this mean that the coolant was really really low and I just have to keep topping it up up till it gets to the right level?

just got instant results. topped up the coolant and it's working now. so do you recon there's a leak?

I've just taken 2 pictures. The temperature gauge is is in the middle. But the coolant is low.. should I top it up. a few days ago I opened the coolant tank cap when the car was on and hot and the coolant when right up.

I've never changed the water pump in my 3 years ownership. Previous owner changed the cam belt so might have also changed the water pump. Not 100% sure. I've noticed during my ownership that the coolant nearly always goes below 'LOW' level when cold. Is this an issue?

Hello The LS430 only blows warm air when I accelerate. What's up with it.? Need my heaters working quick before winter sets in. Thanks

That's definitely an idea. I'll chat to my insurance and see what they say.

A part of me is saying to just keep it. If I ain't going to use it then perhaps SORN it and store it till when I need it. But it looks like I'll probably have to let it go for less than what I'd wish I would want for it. The mileage to me is not an issue if kept well but I know buyers won't look at it the way I will.

Hello I'm thinking of selling my LS430 for personal reasons. Can members give me an estimated realistic price I should advertise it for. A bit about the car - It's got 197k on it and it's a 2003. Mechanically absolutely sound. No issues at all. Just the CD player doesn't work. Extra gearbox radiator installed. I've serviced it on time every time. I think it's a bit rare because it's black with black interior. And it's got factory fitted coils so it's non air suspension from factory. No rear seat functions. LPG converted 9 months ago. What's my LS430 worth? Thanks

Phew All sorted. It was indeed a connector that he'd forgotten to put back on. All lights are now off. Thanks
