I am just getting ready to sell my car before my new one arrives at the end of March.
I have put the private plate on retention and need to get a normal number plate made up so I can swap them over. I have all the documentation from the DVLA, but just need to know where the cheapest place to get this done is?
Any ideas?
Cheers.

Guys and gals,
My other half has just had a minor ding in her new Ford KA. There is a slight dent and small scrape to the bare metal on the near side rear wing. Ford want £350 to fix it, which seems a bit steep.
Does anybody know a reputable bodyshop that could sort it cheaper in the Herts area?
Thanks,
-
Could have done with them tonight!
Took me 2 hours to do 2 miles, lost control loads of times. Had to abandom car 1/2 mile from home as couldn't get up even the slightest hill.
Big car, rear wheel drive, wide tyres don't do well in snow!!

And I was talking about the difference between BMW 330 and the IS300 engine OK? ;)
OK? Thats fine!
I just don't see the relevance of comparing engines that are not stock.
How mant people are gonna tune either to 500-600 bhp anyway.
-
The BMW engine is much lighter and can't take power-loads of
500-600HP @ crank. ;)
It would blow up like a firework.
The IS300 hasn't got 500-600hp though :duh:
Neither has the 330...
not the stock.... it's possible to boost it up until this power without any damage..... ;)
Americans have already done on a couple of IS300 models....
between 330 and 600HP @crank
But we were talking about stock manual IS300's..............
-
Standard is 215/45/17 if I remember correct.
They would fit but would obviously be wider and not as low profile (45 % of 225 not 215). The speedo would read slightly wrong aswell.
-
Even so, i could imagine that happening.........in the US!

Chris, have you tried Kwik Fit?
They will be able to get Toyo's and they normally beat any other quote you can get.
When i got new tyres for mine I just rang round all my local tyre places and then went back to kwik Fit with the best and they beat it by £5 per tyre.
Saved me £20 per corner from their original quote.

I don't know why we can't have the manual over here, surely there would be more market for a manual than auto in the UK, especially if its that much faster!
6.8 to 60 isn't that fast nowadays, especially with a 3 litre engine! The (I'm sorry) BMW 330 is about 6.2 I think....

Anyone know of any decent forums for the new BMW Mini?
-
wicked, can't get above 321 on the top game

If you need a cheap Battery, ask Chris Shipley. He quoted me £50 for the lexus part for mine. :winky:
-
Is it easy to replace the Battery yourself? Any tips?

If you read the t&c of bittorrent it says they will provide content from their sponsors from time to time. Sounds like adware to me.

try using WinMX from WinMX to download and share files instead of Kazaa.
WinMX doesn't contain any adware or spyware which most of the others including Kazaa do.

Me three!!

But seriously I give the yanks 5 years before thats true! :D

Chris, have a look at these Federal SS595's. I had them on my Civic Type-R and they were good! All the reviews are glowing about them. And £85 per corner! I would have them on mine now but don't do my size.
Top Gear also did a group buy for the Civic Type-R owners club at £50 per corner fitted for the 205/45/17 / 215/40/17 size so maybe they would do the same for us if there was enough interest?
-
I've got Nankang Ultra Sport NS-2's on at the moment. seem fine, good tread pattern and quiet enough. £85 per corner from qwik-fit.
-
Thats my next car sorted then

The warranty goes with the car, not the owner. But I think Colin mentioned that it had run out anyway.
