Yes, as I have said before on this forum, as someone who has enjoyed a lifetime career in the printing industry hard copy manuals should come as standard! -
RX4 pending....
Ken R replied to GSLV6's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
That's an amazingly good insurance premium price. I have the latest Gen 5 RX and can't get anywhere near that price despite max no claims, £500 compulsory and £250 voluntary excess, SDP only!. NFU quoted £800 plus. -
The 2024 all-electric Lexus RZ luxury SUV_ new versions, new grades and an enriched Lexus EV ownership experience - Media.Lexus.co.uk.pdf

The 2024 All-Electric Lexus RZ Luxury SUV: New Versions, Grades, and Enhanced Ownership Experience Lexus is expanding its all-electric RZ luxury SUV lineup with the introduction of the front-wheel drive RZ 300e, joining the all-wheel drive RZ 450e. The new RZ 300e boasts an official driving range of up to 297 miles (WLTP combined cycle), set for UK release later in 2024 with pricing to be announced. Additionally, a new entry-level Urban grade will be available for both models. More versions will feature 18-inch wheels to maximize driving range. Lexus is also launching Lexus Reserve, a complimentary hybrid vehicle loan program for EV owners. Introducing the RZ 300e The new RZ 300e, a front-wheel drive model, will join the Lexus all-electric luxury SUV range in 2024 alongside the RZ 450e, which features Lexus's DIRECT4 all-wheel drive system. The RZ 300e has an official driving range of up to 297 miles, compared to the RZ 450e's 272 miles. It uses the same 71.4kWh lithium-ion battery, powering a front electric motor with 201bhp and 266Nm torque, accelerating from 0-62mph in eight seconds. It adopts a rear subframe, replacing the e-Axle unit of the all-wheel drive version. Both models feature Lexus’s signature craftsmanship, a fully digital cockpit, and advanced safety and multimedia technologies. Urban: The New Entry-Level Grade Later in 2024, Lexus will introduce the Urban grade for both the RZ 300e and RZ 450e, enhancing customer choice. Despite being entry-level, the Urban grade includes luxury features such as 18” alloy wheels, a 14-inch touchscreen with the Lexus Link Pro multimedia system, wireless smartphone charging, dual-zone climate control, a heated steering wheel, and a 10-speaker audio system. Safety features include Intelligent Clearance Sonar, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Alert with auto-braking, and Safe Exit Assist. Lexus Reserve Program Lexus Reserve, a pioneering program, offers Lexus EV owners (RZ 300e, RZ 450e, and UX 300e) 42 days of complimentary use of a Lexus hybrid vehicle over three years. This program provides peace of mind for long journeys in areas with limited charging infrastructure. Customers can request a hybrid vehicle by contacting Lexus UK, and the car will be delivered and collected at their convenience, with no mileage restrictions. The program is available to retail customers who purchase their EVs from the Lexus centre network. Full pricing and ordering details for the new RZ range and options will be announced closer to the release date

Pro-Tech paint protection....is it worth it?
Ken R replied to GSLV6's topic in Lexus General Discussions
My dealer included Supaguard paint protection in the overall deal and I am pleased with its performance thus far. Good level of gloss and water beading whilst bird droppings are simply hosed off without leaving any etching. -

I took delivery of a new RX450h+ in March this year and at that point there was significant UK stock with a further shipment close to docking. I was able to get the exact spec that I wanted (colour/trim/options) without difficulty so speak to your dealer. Factory orders can vary in timescale but an order placed this month should be in the UK by August. -
If you scroll down each model you get the various designations, Premium, Premium Plus, F-Sport, F-Sport Takumi, Takumi.

Takumi now showing on configurator.

Issues with new RX
Ken R replied to Sara.E's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
Fake news I think. There is a lever to open manually. -
Virtually impossible to get compulsory excess below £200 and for the 5th generation RX £500. Voluntary excess at 0 is still available but hugely increases the annual premium. I insure the family cars (excl my RX) with Admiral multicar and not only has the premium risen by over 45% but the compulsory excess has gone up by 220%! This increase isn't even highlighted in the renewal which I think is underhand tactics by the insurer.

Panoramic roof now an option on the 450h+.

Insurance Renewal June
Ken R replied to RONNIE W HODGEKINSON's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
I'm with Aviva online at present Ronnie. Paid £348 last year on the NX450h+ (Aviva Premium). Looks like its going to be double that on the RX450h+😭. Increasing the voluntary excess will help to reduce this. Interestingly I got a quote for the NX and it was even dearer than the RX! -
I was fortunate and delighted that my RX was delivered in March with 2 keys!

Rx450h+ series 5 questions
Ken R replied to MrBee's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
Good evening Personally I didn't think the Takumi grade was worth it and am delighted with the RX450h+ Premium Plus with Panoramic Roof that I have had since March. Can't comment on the variable suspension but I am more than satisfied with the suspension on the Premium Plus. I previously drove a NX450h+ and I think that the combination of the bigger tyres and longer wheelbase gives the RX a better overall ride to waft along in true Lexus style! Headlights are excellent and have never been " flashed at "by any oncoming cars. Regenerative braking cannot be set to effectively provide one pedal driving as far as I am aware. Lexus dealers are offering generous discounts on the RX at present along with low rate finance so I reckon bargaining with them should give you a good outcome. -

Lexus RX Vs Genesis GV80
Ken R replied to Sara.E's topic in RX 300 / RX 350h / RX 400h / RX 200t / RX 450h+ / RX 500h Club
Hi Sara I can thoroughly recommend the RX450h+ - a fantastic car. I previously owned a NX450h+ and prior to that a NX300h. Other than routine servicing and manufacturer's recalls (on the 450h+) I didn't have to return to the dealership. Build quality is superb and my local dealership (Lexus Edinburgh) first class. As I have reported previously I set out in 2017 to buy a Discovery Sport but was underwhelmed by the dealer and crossed the road to Lexus where the reception received was outstanding. 7 years on and I'm now on my third Lexus. I'm currently achieving over 60mpg when combining the cost of EV charging (overnight at home) and converting this into current petrol cost. Actually got over 70mpg from the NX450h+ but pleased with the RX result considering its a larger and heavier vehicle. If you can run it in EV mode as much as possible the results will be outstanding. Haven't driven a Genesis but did consider a Kia EV6 and test drove one - impressive but EV charging infrastructure and overall range just isn't good enough. -
Enjoy the test drive. Its a fantastic car! I've had mine since March and really enjoying the comfort and quality. I previously owned a NX450h and a NX300h prior to that and whilst there's not a great difference in overall dimensions the RX feels so much bigger and simply wafts along in true Lexus fashion.

Thanks Anthony for the thrilling special final chapter - an excellent read! The only fitting end will be a sale and you can then publish the whole story leather bound in hardback. All the best!
