  1. Regards to trim levels as far as I am aware it remains Premium, Premium Plus, F-Sport Design and Takumi. I have a Premium Plus - absolutely delighted with it and proving to be more economical than my previous NX450h+.
  2. Obviously the plug in 450h can run in EV only mode and up to 70mph+ although the battery will deplete rather rapidly. When I had my NX450h I could get around 50 miles of mixed driving (city/motorway) in pure EV mode. (Summer months). HV mode returned c50mpg. Now have an RX450h plug in and getting the same 50 miles in EV mode and recently achieved c55mpg in HV only which is quite amazing for a vehicle of this size and weight.
  3. I see Jeremy Clarkson has only given the LBX 3 stars and a very uncomplimentary (and in my opinion unfair) write-up in today's Sunday Times Road Test. However that equates it to be a great car if he doesn't rate it! 😁
  4. The 5th gen RX is superb but I would recommend that anyone considering purchasing should do it using Lexus finance PCP where the current offer is at a very competitive APR of 1.9% - saving your capital and giving a fixed future valuation.
  5. Refuelled again today and the overall result is 73.44mpg after converting electrical recharges costs to current petrol cost. Ran the car in HV mode only for the last week and was achieving an impressive 55mpg. Overall consumption based on the above fuel/electricity calculation is 70.99mpg over 3400 miles. This is better than I achieved with my NX450H (overall 52.65mpg over 17k miles) albeit electricity prices have dropped considerably. Will do a more exact comparison in due course.
  6. Looks wise I personally think the Toyota CH-R wins hands down!
  7. Never had this issue when I had my NX450h so would consult a dealer.
  8. I'm getting up to 52mpg on a long run (incl motorways) when running the 5th Gen RX450h in HV mode which is impressive given the size and weight of the vehicle.
  9. Having been promised a call from an engineer I am still waiting! Have phoned BG four times this week, been on hold for up to 30 minutes, call was cut off once and have been told that I will get a return call from the call centre team on three occasions but nothing received. They say that the dropping out of the Alfen charger is a known fault and the only solution is to hard wire it via CAT 6 cables from the router.
  10. I had this issue yesterday with the app showing doors unlocked etc when they were in fact locked. OK today.
  11. The non F-sport models probably give the smoothest ride.
  12. Give Aviva a try. Were competitive when I had my NX and I continue to use them for my RX.
  13. I received a call from my dealer last week to say the bolts for my RX (delivered March 24) were now available so called in on Thursday for fitting.
  14. Looks great! More appearing on the road now and I think they simply look fab. Happy motoring.
  15. Sorry to learn of your issues but its also reassuring that I am not alone! Likewise all other Hive connections (Heating and Hot water) work perfectly and to be fair the ev facility has been largely OK apart from recent weeks. I believe it operates using 2G technology so wonder if this is an issue? I have been promised a visit from an engineer so will report back on any findings.
  16. The consumption displayed in the car and on the app will be the combined ev/hv figure. When in hv mode I have found there will be both a reduction in total ev range when the ev power takes over from the ice and an occasional increase through regeneration depending on road conditions. My 50+mpg journey was entirely in hv mode (and with E5 petrol) and the ev range only fluctuated by 2 miles over the entire journey. As you say a long journey in the RX is so comfortable! Did an exclusive ev journey yesterday involving motorway and city driving achieving 49.5 miles before the ice cut in.
  17. Lovely colour! Saw one in the Lexus Edinburgh showroom yesterday. Stunning!
  18. I know a number of LOC members have an Alfen Hive charger. Are you currently experiencing the charger dropping out and going offline for days at a time? I had this problem last year but it seemed to correct itself however the past two weeks have been awful with the charger offline almost constantly for about 10 days. I go through the recommended actions daily to try to restore connectivity without success Phoned BG and they "reset" the SIM but still no change. Anybody got a solution???
  19. When I took delivery of my NX450h I had serious reservations regarding the run flat tyres however having suffered a puncture on the motorway the benefits of such tyres became obvious. Yes they are expensive and rarely repairable but I would have no concern with them in the future. Unfortunately they were not an option when I changed to the RX.
  20. I did encounter the numerous recalls, including fuel filler flap and winter door handle issues when I had my NX450h and annoying as these issues were (and I did have a wobble at one point!) the professional way they were dealt with by Lexus UK and in particular Lexus Edinburgh was simply exemplary. How problems are resolved are a measure of how great an organisation is and in my experience Lexus have proved their worth.
  21. I too enabled this on my RX450h from day one and absolutely love it.
  22. I reckon it's the Premium Plus pack given the 18" alloys and leather trim.
