  1. That feature is disabled on 2018MY NX Luxury spec as far as I have been informed. It is standard on the f sport and above.
  2. Hi Andy I don't think the second option is available on the Luxury spec. I had test driven an F Sport which had this but was disappointed that my Luxury didn't feature this useful facility.
  3. Have had a similar experience with my NX and always after heavy rain but appears to cure itself after a couple of miles.
  4. I find that the indicated mpg on the in-car computer tends to be optimistic and so have conducted brim to brim mpg checks from day one with my NX. Have now covered just over 14000 miles in close on 17 months of mixed driving (City/Motorway/A and B roads) and achieving an average 41.78mpg overall which I am quite pleased about. The best has been 46.32 and poorest 34.6 mpg. November through to March records the worst range due to the colder conditions.
  5. I'm certain that the two weeks and one day will be worth the wait. I am simply delighted with my NX over the past 16 months. Averaging over 41mpg and enjoy every minute behind the wheel. Post some pics when you take delivery. Happy motoring.
  6. Apologies for the delayed response Dan. Cost came in at just over £500 after discount.
  7. Job done and top class welcome and treatment by the team at Lexus Edinburgh. Can't recommend them highly enough.
  8. Lexus Edinburgh have worked their magic, received the light unit 3 weeks earlier than predicted and have booked my car in for fitting tomorrow!
  9. Yes there are a few Mk1 2014-2017 units available but no current Mk2 versions that I require. Guess I will just have to wait.
  10. Not a good day today. Reversed into a pillar in a car park and broke the nearside rear lamp cluster. Immediately phoned the garage to have this replaced and as usual they were very efficient and helpful however was rather taken aback that there are no replacement parts available in the UK or Europe. This will have to be sourced from Japan with a quoted delivery date of 3 September! Price is also eye-watering! Anybody else having part delays?

  12. I too have experienced this problem twice before but after driving for about 4 miles it seems to clear itself.
  13. I too find the seats extremely comfortable and probably the best that I have experienced (and I have owned and driven quite a few cars over the past 40 years!) Enjoy your NX.
  14. I believe that this is probably correct.I know that the NX only has one reverse lamp. Always think that this is a bit mean on cars of this quality and price!
  15. Enjoy your new NX - I am sure you will - and I hope you are as delighted with yours as I am with mine. Happy motoring.
  16. External differences are relatively minor with cosmetic changes to the grill, front bumper, tail lights and rear bumper but worth opting for the 2018 model year.
  17. £800 seems reasonable to me. I am currently paying monthly and this will total £885 covering the first three services on my NX at Lexus Edinburgh.
  18. I have had mine for almost 15 months now and simply delighted with it. Yes the infotainment system could be better but the great points of the car far outweigh this. I find it extremely comfortable, quiet (best description is that you waft along!) and economical to run - latest brim to brim mpg is 44 with a mix of city and motorway driving which for a car of this size is very acceptable. Customer service from the dealership from day one of the initial test drive to the present has been exemplary. Happy to answer any specifics if required but I am sure you will be impressed.
  19. I have just refuelled my NX and with the usual brim to brim check have recorded just over 45mpg. The 455 miles covered included motorway and city driving. Very happy with that. The NX is simply a fantastic car as far as I am concerned.
  20. I insure my Lexus with Admiral so thanks for the heads-up but my recent experience with them in relation to a family Nissan is one where their "approved" bodyshop quoted £900+ to repair hit and run damage that I managed to get done locally (and extremely well) for £300. (and we wonder why insurance is so expensive!)
  21. Still only equates to low-mid 30s in mpg overall - not great. I have never recorded as low in the NX.
  22. 275 miles from a tank for the UX does seem poor. I usually use normal mode but have just run my NX in the eco mode for the last fortnight completing over 436 miles and refilled today recording 43.74 mpg with a mix of motorway and local shorter journeys. (The indicated average displayed was however 46.6mpg!).
  23. Enjoy your NX! I have had mine for 12 months now - purchased new in April 2018- and am simply delighted with it. I have averaged just over 41mpg in the past year with a mix of city/motorway and single carriageway driving. A very relaxing car to drive and one where you will receive appreciative comments from passengers. Happy motoring!
  24. I find the seats in my NX the most comfortable of any car that I have owned which includes Mercedes C Class and Volvo S80 (which had seats difficult to beat) so don't miss having adjustable lumbar support. Now approaching one year of ownership and 10000 miles, I have kept a log of MPG based upon brim to brim fills and averaging 41.1mpg. I remain delighted with the car.
