  1. I've pre ordered a new NX450h+ but maybe I should be looking at an RX to take advantage of the current boost in trade-in values! 🤔
  2. The unavailable option of the pano roof on the 450h+ is apparently to do with overall vehicle weight and the need to keep this down so that EV mode achieves maximum range. Likewise the ML sound situation on this model is I am told due to space.
  3. My one (2018 MY) doesn't always pick up the speed limit signs and occasionally mis-reads the numerals.
  4. It potentially remains a deal breaker for me also but have gone ahead meantime with my deposit and an order for a 450h+ in Graphite with Hazel interior, sunroof, protection pack etc. My other disappointment is the 20" wheels with run-flat tyres - not something I would choose if it was an option. Will make the final decision after a test drive and my current NX is valued.
  5. I have cream leather (ochre) seats in my NX and after 3.5 years and 28000 miles they still look like new! I give them a quick wipe with leather cleaner every 3 or 4 months. You do get a little rub off from clothing but nothing significant. Cream upholstery really lifts the interior especially with the pano roof.
  6. Agree that some of the specifications are slightly bizarre. I have taken a pre-order option on a 450h+ but disappointed that I cannot specify the panoramic roof (but could in a 350h)! Also the standard 20 inch wheels with run flat tyres wouldn't be my choice. Will make a final decision after a test drive becomes available.
  7. I had a very similar experience in a Land Rover showroom a few years ago. Was genuinely interested in a Discovery Sport, sat in every model in the showroom but not one of the sales staff approached. Drove to the Lexus showroom and ordered the NX. Have never regretted that decision! 😊
  8. As Habu has already said Lexus are in a different league in terms of quality, reliability and customer service compared to the other so called prestige marques. Driver Power surveys usually place them 1st or at worst 2nd to Porsche. I have experienced nothing but exemplary service from Lexus Edinburgh since purchasing my NX in 2018. The new 450h+ is very tempting as a good transition to an EV - my only disappointment is that the Pano roof cannot be specified with the Premium Plus pack and the standard 20" wheels with run flat tyres. I am sure you will be delighted with a Lexus should you proceed to purchase. As the adverts say-drive a Lexus and you will experience amazing!
  9. Likewise I am now about to fill my thitd full tank of E10 and haven't noticed any change in performance and the computer is indicating 45.7 mpg. I record brim to brim fill ups so I expect that it will come in at 44mpg as the computer tends to be optimistic. That consumption is very much on par with what E5 was returning.
  10. Welcome Craig from another North of the Border! You will be delighted with your purchase. Three plus years and with over 27000 trouble-free miles it still brings a smile to my face every time I get behind the wheel. 😁
  11. I note that the panoramic roof is on the top model Toyota RAV4 PHEV. May have a look at that.
  12. Dealer has confirmed what others have said in that the pano roof isn't available on the 450h+.😞😭
  13. That is really disappointing and could be a game changer for me. I am awaiting a call from my local dealer regarding this. Will wait to see how the test drive of the Kia EV6 goes before making any decisions.
  14. I also attended the local launch of the EV6 and was very impressed. Awaiting a test drive date by I too would choose the GT Line S. The matte steel was certainly different but I much prefer a gloss finish so will probably opt for black. If I do leave Lexus it will be with sadness as I think the cars and their customer care is outstanding, but if spec doesn't suit.....
  15. Yes having re-read the options I think you are correct. Really disappointing! Might be a Kia EV6 that I go for after all!
  16. I have registered my interest on a 450h+ with premium plus pack and pano roof. The only thing I am concerned about is the 20 inch wheels with run flat tyres.
  17. Was invited to the launch of the Kia EV6 at my local dealership last night. A very slick launch rather like the unveiling ceremonies from the likes of Rover and Ford that I remember from years past. Got to say that I was hugely impressed by the EV6. Its a much bigger car in the metal than it looks in pictures. It was a pre production model but build quality looked first class, fit and finish of the interior excellent and its styling certainly sets it apart from the competition. Have taken the option of a test drive next month. Lexus will need to get a comparable sized EV into the marketplace swiftly if they wish to compete. Price wise the AWD GT line S model (very well appointed) is c£52k - a level which I expect the 2022 Model year NX450h PHEV to be pitched at. Will report the findings of my test drive.
  18. Can't say that I have this problem. Tyre wear even and still adequate tread depth after 26000 miles.
  19. 2018MY should be able to be upgraded to AA/ACP on the main screen but unfortunately not connected to the HUD as already identified.
  20. Always been charged for insurance cover on the courtesy car from Lexus Edinburgh and happy to do so. Also think it only fair to replace fuel used.
  21. I certainly didn't get a leather bound document file or accessory tool kit with my NX in 2018. Handbook and service record supplied in a wallet.
  22. I have recorded brim to brim fuelling from day 1 with my NX Luxury (April 2018).You should easily achieve 40+ mpg overall. My best recorded is 46mpg and worst 30mpg with a mix of city and longer distance journeys. Consumption is always higher in winter temperatures.
  23. I'd expect the new NX to start at just below £40k with the PHEV c£50k if it is to be competitive.
