Hi Marc I took delivery of my NX450h+ last month after 4 years with a NX300h. To answer your points - 1- I don't think that this will adversely affect the car however having paid for the ability to plug in its a pity not to fully utilise it and your edit to say that you will charge it a couple of times a week is sensible. 2- I have driven the car twice now where the ev battery has run out and you barely notice the switch between ev and ice - a very slight jolt as the engine kicks in and the instrument panel changes to reflect mpg instead of miles per kWh. 3- Have changed to the ice driving the car and charging the ev battery at the same time. Car is noticeably noisier although far from obtrusive but mpg does suffer. I was getting an indicated 30mpg and over 13 miles gained 6 miles of charge. When used in hybrid mode I have been getting an indicated 47mpg which is pretty impressive and overall to date it is showing that combined with the ev I am getting 77 mpg. When in ev mode its indicating 2.6 miles per kWh. I am certain you will be delighted with the car and it appears you have got a great finance deal. I have the Hazel interior in a Graphite black/Hazel combo. Think it looks good and gives a matching headlining to keep it light. Chose it as I previously had the Ochre cream leather (with a panoramic roof which I do miss! 🙁) . I love the Fuji Red paintwork option but was unsure as how it would look with a Hazel trim so played safe! Interior pic below.

Hi Don Very pleased with the car so far but only covered 250 miles to date - a large part in ev mode and getting to grips with the new features. EV range indicator is very accurate and the change from ev to ice is barely noticeable. Drove 13 miles in hv/ev mode to charge the traction battery and gained about 6 miles however consumption dropped to 30mpg and the engine noise intrusion would make me avoid this option in future. HUD is brilliantly clear as is the 360 degree camera. Fit and finish is first class and ev charging very straightforward. Awaiting the install of the ev charger but using a 3 pin plug at present. The car recognising my profile is a bit hit or miss as discussed elsewhere in the loc. Only problem that I am having is with the internal tailgate switch locking option not working - get 2 beeps but nothing happens. Also the ev reverse warning to pedestrians is barely audible. I also miss the panoramic roof that I enjoyed on my old NX. Will update as I cover more miles and head to the petrol station to calculate the overall mpg.

Not good indeed and not representative of the usual Lexus standards that I have experienced. Lexus Edinburgh kept me updated every step of the way from the initial order in September last year to delivery earlier this month.

I have a 450h premium plus and it appears to be a hit or a miss as to whether the profiles load!

I took delivery of my new NX 450h+ from Lexus Edinburgh with a full tank of fuel and an EV battery charged to 100%.

I have had similar experience with Lexus Edinburgh. It was way back in 2017 when I had the opportunity to have a 24 hour test drive of the NX which resulted in a purchase of the same model in 2018. Customer service and the car has been outstanding since then and meant that my recent upgrading to a NX 450h+ was an obvious decision. Handover of the car last week was an event to be savoured!

It appears that everyone is having different experiences with BG. I had a full survey conducted by them, have been in contact with my DNO and they have given the green light to proceed even saying that an uprated fuse from 60A to 100A can be retro fitted once the charger is installed.

I have been advised that my wallbox will be installed next month and also told by BG that everything will be invoiced to Lexus! Great news! Using the 3 pin charging cable for now and it's all very straightforward.

Ran the ev battery to nil yesterday and then travelled in hv/charge battery mode. In 13 miles I gained 7 miles of ev charge. Downside is that I was getting a reported 30mpg. Quite impressed at the rate of charge.

Boot cover is a bit disappointing on the 450h+ compared with the previous 300h. It's basically a nylon panel stretched over a metal frame. It folds for storage beneath the boot floor which is a useful feature however unlike the previous version it is limited in what it can safely carry. Not ideal on a luxury car.

I took delivery of my 450h+ Premium Plus with sunroof today. Graphite with Hazel leather. Have only driven 20 miles so far (all ev) but hugely impressed. Lexus Edinburgh have been superb as always and the handover was to be savoured! Stuart Wilson deserves special mention - he took time to explain the features of the car and his knowledge of the new NX is encyclopaedic! Now need to learn these myself! Pics-

I pick up my 450h+ premium plus tomorrow - Graphite with Hazel interior. My current NX is Graphite with Ochre trim - a combo that I really like and is much admired. I'll miss the ochre leather and the Hazel was the closest option.

I think that its the same problem or worse with other manufacturers. I know of a VW Tiguan that was ordered last August and promised for December is now looking like a May delivery. Think the Lexus is worth waiting for!

Think 6 months is fairly accurate. I ordered my NX450h+ at the end of September and take delivery next week.

I had the survey undertaken yesterday. Was amazed that it took over 2 hours to complete. I reckon it's straightforward but will need the DNO to upgrade the fuse and install an isolator which BG are informing them about. I believe BG are inundated and trying to get as many installs completed before the government grant ceases.

I take delivery of my 450h+ next week and have raised a query with my sales executive regarding this recall. At present he knows nothing of this.

I had a similar experience in that the monthly payments over 48 months were slightly higher than over a 36 month period due to the GFV dropping on the longer term.

Hi Don Agree that 5.9% is too much. My dealer is holding the finance at 3.9% as agreed at the time of ordering.

So they are not honouring the finance rate quoted at the time of ordering?

Yes but I expect the rate to increase over the period so effectively you are locking in the current price.

Three year service plan works out at just over £1000 from memory and you can pay this over 33 months. It is a cost effective way of paying for the servicing in my opinion. I have gone for Graphite metallic (again!) with Hazel trim. I am going to miss the panoramic roof and the light cream interior of my present car though! I am sure you will be delighted with your choice and if its as good as mine has been you will have made a wise choice.

I was a loyal BL customer in the late 70s and throughout the 80s with Minis, an MG Metro, a Maestro and Montego estates. Worst one from a quality perspective was the MG - poor alloys-and a habit of wearing through front brake pads at an alarming rate. Overall the cars were remarkably reliable and the only reason that I went to another manufacturer in 1992 was that BL couldn't supply me with the car I wanted. Mistakenly went to Peugeot (405 estate) and that car was a disaster and probably the worst that I have ever had.
