  1. Have you had to inform your insurance company as this is technically a change of standard spec?
  2. I ran a Mondeo 1.8 diesel estate for three years from 2008. It was an ex- demonstrator Zetec. Good car overall, loads of space and reasonably economical. That said I don't score it particularly highly in terms of reliability as I had clutch problems amongst other more minor issues which Ford did either fix under warranty or make financial contribution towards after haggling.
  3. These were quite popular in the US. Here in the UK the Range Rover Evoque cabriolet was probably the most "popular" although not an everyday sight! No longer available new there are quite a number for sale on Autotrader.
  4. I think the chrome trim on the NX f sport lower front spoiler was standard so perhaps the previous owner has removed it because of damage or indeed the complete grill section has been replaced at some point? The chrome finisher is available through Lexus accessories.
  5. My NX450h delivery time from arriving in the UK to delivery to Lexus Edinburgh was surprisingly swift so it does happen sometimes! All the best for Monday - I am certain that you will be delighted as its an amazing car.
  6. Agree 100% Marc - the 450h+ is a fantastic car and certainly worth waiting for.
  7. Noted that the NX450h doesn't appear on the Lexus UK website configuration for some reason? Wonder if they are making changes for the 23MY spec?
  8. Yes have had extended test drives in the past where a copy of my driving license was taken and I had to sign an insurance declaration. Indeed it was a 24 hour test drive in 2017 that introduced me to Lexus.
  9. That's impressive. I have covered close on 2500 miles but have filled up twice albeit there was still around 2-3 gallons in the tank. Took delivery of the car with a full tank. My latest mpg is 137.7 and best ev only 51 miles (and that included both urban and motorway driving). I am delighted with the car and as you say it brings on a smile.
  10. Just to update - I have now covered over 2300 miles and refilled the tank today for only the second time having received a full tank on delivery and one subsequent top up. Latest brim to brim calculation comes out at 137.71mpg. When I take into account the total KwH added and convert the cost of this into gallons of fuel the overall consumption from day 1 comes to 86.46mpg which I think is great as this is more than double the figure I achieved on my NX300H. I expect that this overall consumption to improve over the summer months.
  11. My 450h+ took around 2 weeks from dockside at Portbury to dealership via Burnaston. Its a tight turnaround but hope that it all slots into place for your French trip.
  12. I considered a EV6 and was certainly impressed after a test drive. Not quite up to Lexus fit and finish in my opinion but not far off. Design is stunning and at the end of the day it was a difficult decision however I opted for the NX450h+ which is proving to be a fantastic car.
  13. Good news but the journey time appears excessive. My car was only at sea for just over a month?
  14. Great choice. The NX450h+ is an amazing car. Today I did a 51 mile round trip involving city streets and motorways utilising electric power only.
  15. Disappointed to hear this as Lexus Edinburgh have been absolutely brilliant during the time that I have dealt with them. From reception, sales and service the personnel have all been first class and I have always felt that I was welcome. I too ordered a NX450h+ last September (to replace my NX300h) with an initial delivery indication January. Obvious circumstances in the industry delayed this (which suited me) but I was kept fully informed and finally took delivery in March. My recall visit was done whilst I waited in the showroom and was well looked after with coffee and cake. Agree that the car is outstanding and have only filled up with petrol once in 2200 miles - and still got a couple of gallons in the tank.
  16. Hi again Ron Happy to keep in touch and as others have said you have made a great choice of car. Customer Service that I have experienced from Lexus Edinburgh has been outstanding and indeed this played a very significant part in my purchase of my first NX. Enjoy wafting along in your Lexus!
  17. Hi Ronnie Welcome to the forum. If there is anything you need to know this is the place! I assume from your location you will be dealing with Lexus Edinburgh? 8 rate them highly having had a NX300H for 4 years from 2018 to earlier this year. I thoroughly recommend the car -it was well built, reliable and economical- I averaged 42mpg - and other than annual servicing I never had reason to call upon the garage. I have now got a NX450h+ and the Lexus magic continues. As they say -drive a Lexus and you will experience amazing!
  18. Had a van wrapped a few years ago and when it was redeployed elsewhere in the company at c100k miles the wrapping was removed to reveal pristine paintwork.
  19. Agree Geoff. Its a hit or a miss whether journeys are ŕecorded. I'm giving up on it for now.
  20. Charging the battery via the ICE gave me about 6 miles of charge after approx 13 miles covered however fuel consumption was high and the car was unusually noisy. Indeed it felt a different vehicle altogether.
  21. I had to deal with and coordinate BG, my energy supplier and my DNO so know how frustrating it can be. Wasn't getting much response from the DNO but managed to track down an email address for my local area manager and that certainly got things moving. Uprated fuse and new tails were fitted by them and this in turn allowed the energy supplier to fit an isolator and smart meter. BG then completed the installation. All was completed FOC. Process started in March with a thorough 3 hour survey by BG and install completed in May.
  22. I am certain that part of the Lexus NX pre-order campaign was that the deposit was fully refundable.
