  1. Hi Andy After October I will probably just run it purely as a hybrid as charging from home will be more expensive than running on petrol. Future tariff changes may swing the EV back to being cheaper so I don't regret opting for the 450h+ which is a great car even if its £10k more than the 350h.
  2. Yes. Latest jump in energy prices makes EV's more expensive to run than their comparable ICE models which makes the switch economically nonsensical.
  3. Misinformation on running cost of EV's. A RAC spokesperson commenting on the latest energy price hike maintained that charging at home is still good value compared to paying for petrol or diesel. The car in question was the Kia e-Niro. I DISAGREE! The e-Nero will cost £33.80 to charge at the new price cap kWh rate and using manufacturers figures will cover 228 miles (at best!) which equates to c14.8p per mile. The equivalent hybrid version of this model has MPG listed at 60.1mpg. On a basis of £7.58 per gallon the cost is c12.6p per mile. How is that good value??? I expect ev sales to at least stall!
  4. I wouldn't have divulged that to them! Not necessary.
  5. Latest energy price hike has tipped the balance for me in terms of using EV mode in my 450h+. Now cheaper to run on petrol and ICE! Value of EV's will probably take a hit.
  6. Meant to say that 3.7miles per kwh is impressive! Best I have achieved is 3.4 to date!
  7. Yes I have used this set up when travelling longer distances. Didn't make any great saving mpg wise for me but will continue to monitor.
  8. With climate control off and in eco mode I can get and indicated 52 miles. Have achieved a round trip of 51 miles on ev which included motorway driving.
  9. The NX configurator maintains that Lane Change Assist and Front Cross Traffic alert are part of the Premium Plus pack with sunroof. I certainly don't have these features in my NX450h+ premium plus pack with sunroof!
  10. Impressive that you are only on the 1st refill! My initial calculation was along the same lines and close to your overall result. Have been undertaking some longer journeys of late without recharging so will report soon on the overall mpg.
  11. Sorry to hear this, particularly the inaction by the dealer. Can't say that I am experiencing any of these issues on my 450h+ Premium Plus. Hope that the issues get resolved when you get back.
  12. I was informed that the data allowance is actually 4 years. As has already been said the voice command system works well- moonroof, wipers etc etc.
  13. Looks very smart. Hope the dealer keeps it locked for you so nobody can leave their sticky finger marks!😁
  14. Can't agree. The sales, service and customer care offered by Lexus Edinburgh has been superb since I first walked in the door to look at an NX 5 years ago.
  15. I have got to say that I am very happy with my 450h+ and give it a 9 out of 10 with the issues regarding profiles/Lexus Link app the only reason to mark it down. Certainly don't experience any vibration through the accelerator pedal or have any problem with the door panel presets.
  16. Looks great. The 450h+ is a fantastic car. Enjoy!
  17. Polar opposite to the experience that I had with Lexus Edinburgh who kept me informed from order to delivery. Sales staff there were completely up to speed with the features of the car and when I had any queries post delivery they were answered swiftly after a simple phone call. Lexus Edinburgh certainly keep the standards of legendary Lexus service alive!
  18. Agree 100%. I am achieving similar results and have managed over 60mpg using the hybrid/ICE only. Amazing performance considering the size and weight of the NX450h+.
  19. Similarly I am not confident of the charging network hence the interim option of the NX450h+ which is a fantastic car. I may look at an RZ in the future. At the time of ordering the NX I did look at and eventually test drive a Kia EV6 which was impressive but for the reasons already mentioned along with what I judge to be a superior interior I remained with Lexus.
  20. I have seen my NX indicate as high as 3.4 miles per kWh but generally it is at 3.0 to 3.2.
  21. This was a journey involving around 8 miles of motorway. Try it for yourself but it's not something I will rush to do again!
  22. I get an indicated 50 miles of ev range and indeed completed a journey of 51 miles recently involving 20 miles of motorway with the whole distance covered in ev mode.
