  1. Welcome Paul. The wait will be worth it as the NX450h+ is a superb car.
  2. Definitely free in my case!
  3. I got a full tank when I collected my NX450H from Lexus Edinburgh last March.
  4. It will be worth the wait and you should have it in time for a 23 plate.
  5. Yes I guess it had to end at some point. 28p is still fractionally cheaper than the standard variable tariff though so I reckon it will still be popular.
  6. Is point 1 not just the protection applied at the factory for transit purposes? I was at the dealer when my 450h+ arrived - see illustration.
  7. I think that you can pay off the finance after the first payment is made.
  8. I can't say that I have heard any unusual noises. Are you not just hearing the statutory warning noise for EV's when travelling (forward and reverse) at low speed? That of course wouldn't account for the noise when stationary.
  9. Watch out for connection fees and the kWh charge as it varies wildly. Home charging generally works out cheaper.
  10. That was my experience back in late February. Dealer phoned to let me know exactly when the car was arriving at the dealership and was there to see it immediately after it was unloaded from the transporter.
  11. Agree that you go for the best spec. The AWD derivatives are far more common than the FWD versions.
  12. Like you I would have preferred a pan roof having had one on my NX300H but the sunroof is OK. As has been said the gear selector becomes second nature very quickly and is a huge advance over that of the NX300H. For you -Decisions, decisions!
  13. Looks fab, love the colour! I hope that you are as happy with it as I am with mine. It really is a superb car.
  14. Glad you liked the car but now your big decision! I personally think that whilst used car prices appear to be levelling off they will probably remain high for the next year or so and certainly until the availability of new cars improves. Also think your possible purchase is competitively priced however surprised that there were no incentives offered to seal a deal. Do you have a trade in to P/ex? The PCP will lock in a GFV which dealers/finance Co will have predicted based upon current conditions and what the future may hold so if prices should tumble you will have the comfort of knowing that this figure isn't affected and reducing the gamble. You are correct in stating that it was only the Premier models that had the HUD and 360 camera and these are relatively rare. Shop around and I am sure you will find the car you are looking for. Good luck🤞
  15. Over my 4 years with the NX300h (31497 miles)I recorded an overall fuel consumption of c42mpg. That is on the basis of brim to brim refuelling and recording mileage at each refill. My best was 46.04mpg (achieved in August 2021 and worst 30.48mpg (February 2021). As you see there is a marked increase in consumption over the winter months.
  16. Lexus PCP is fine and as long as you keep the vehicle in good condition and within the agreed mileage there should be enough equity in the vehicle after 2 years to trade up to a newer model. There is always the option to end the agreement and pay the balance. Enjoy the test drive and if you are using PCP see what incentives they may be able to offer as part of the package! (free servicing, price discount etc)
  17. No issues with the run flats regarding ride comfort, road noise etc. I wouldn't have specified them given the choice however they are part of the Premium Plus pack and therfore no choice. My concern is as said before - availability, cost and longevity.
  18. I think it's to do with overall weight. That's what I was told and also why the 450h+ cannot be specified with a panoramic roof.
  19. Were you driving on an uneven or wet/slippery surface at the time? May only be warning you that the wheels lost traction for a second.
  20. Andy I find the same with Lexus Edinburgh where the customer care is outstanding. Ì switched to Lexus following an offer of a 24 hour test drive in 2017. Wasn't looking to change at that point but was suitably impressed by the NX that I returned to the dealer in 2018 and surprisingly they had the exact model and colour combo that I was looking for in stock. These days have gone! Reliability servicing and after sales simply superb. Enjoy the test drive! Ken
  21. The Hazel (Tan) leather isn't too bad for staining and a monthly wipe with leather cleaner removes any "jean" marks. The Hazel trim also comes with a matching headlining which keeps the interior lighter overall which was a consideration for me. I had the ochre (cream) leather interior on my last NX and after 4 years and over 30k miles the garage described it to be like new!
  22. The Takumi has genuine leather seats as does the Premium Plus pack which I have. Lesser grades have the Tahara material which certainly looks like the genuine article.
  23. Hi Andy I reckon that this would be a great choice for you. I had a NX300H, bought new in 2018 and changed it in March of this year for a NX450h+. Have now covered c5500 miles and am absolutely delighted with the car. I run it in EV mode when possible and have actually completed a 51 mile round trip which involved motorway as well as city driving without the ICE cutting in. The cooler weather of late is having a noticeable effect on batteries however whereby summer charges gave an indicated 52 miles of charge now showing 47 miles. Recent tariff hikes mean that the gap between electricity prices and fuel is closing and indeed once the price cap is lifted next April as predicted ai reckon that sales of EV's will be hit from a running cost perspective. Overall I am achieving c65 mpg once the cost of electricity is converted to petrol. This is 50% better than I got from the NX300H and I recently completed a longer series of journeys without EV recharge opportunities and recorded 62mpg. Fit and finish is as expected- superb. I went for a NX450h in Graphite with Hazel interior adding the premium plus pack, protection pack and sunroof (although I do miss the panoramic roof of my previous NX). My only other doubt is the run flat tyres - ride comfort and noise level is OK but I am monitoring their longevity as replacements are both expensive and limited in choice / availability. Seat comfort is great for me but do check front seat headroom if you are specifying the sunroof. All in all I rate the 450 as a fantastic car with the various award wins reinforcing this judgement. Any other queries then don't hesitate to get in touch but meantime hope this helps with your decision.
  24. I had a 2018 NX for 4 years before getting my NX450h and would thoroughly recommend going for what was effectively the Mark 2 of the original if you can. I had the Luxury pack(worth it) plus panoramic roof and enjoyed 4 years of trouble free motoring averaging 42mpg over the four years. Once you became accustomed to the track pad of the infotainment system it was OK. Make sure that if you go for a 2018 car that it has had the upgrade to be compatible with Apple Car Play/Android Auto. Good luck with your search.
