Hoping to have this issue addressed during the LTA recall scheduled for Monday as I had to resort to the internal release again tonight. Was working perfectly after cleaning the hinge after I experienced this last month.

Hi Kevin There are indeed 2 road Bridges that cross the Forth, north of Edinburgh. The original Forth Road Bridge is now for the exclusive use of buses and taxis since the opening of the Queensferry crossing. The M90 was constructed in tandem with the Forth Road Bridge as its feeder motorway in the 1960's but has been much extended over the decades and modified more recently to align with the Queensferry Crossing. I'm sorry to hear that you are not taking up your option on the RZ and thank you for considering me as your "reserve" on the waiting list but I am perfectly happy with the NX450h+. Enjoy your BMW when it comes. Your LC500 is stunning - I saw it at Lexus Edinburgh pre delivery to yourself!

I have got to say that my experience with Lexus Edinburgh has been simply exemplary since I first walked in to test drive a NX300h in 2017 resulting in a purchase some months later. I now drive a NX450h+ pre-ordered in September 2021 and delivered in March this year. Was kept up to date with progress throughout. Always made to feel welcome in the showroom.

That will just devalue 450h's and I certainly wouldn't be happy!

Yes I am experiencing the same. I now get an indicated 44miles or 51 without air con. Has been as high as 52 with aircon in the summer. In summer the displayed range was more or less achievable but the last few weeks has seen the range dropping noticeably. Have also noticed the ICE kicking in more often.

I agree that the technology has advanced significantly in the NX and have never been flashed.

Forecourt price is c£50-£52k for that mileage so I would expect a lot more than is being suggested for a trade-in!

Thanks for this. Great review considering the issues. The secondhand value seems ridiculously low though! I gave the fuel filler flap a thorough clean today and it now has returned to full working order!

Problem is that on a standard variable tariff the KwH charge is swiftly reaching par with petrol costs.

Latest NX350 panoramic roofs have an opening section rather like the RX.

If the new RX is as outstanding as the NX450h+ then you will be onto a winner!

Fortunately I have a smart meter and also took advantage of the free power at Tesco while it was available. In both instances the apps record the KwH consumed hence my accuracy. I kept a record of brim to brim fuelling with my previous NX300h from new and overall achieved over 40mpg in 4 years. The NX450h is proving to be more economical. I too am delighted with my NX450H+.

I simply take the cost of all electricity consumed recharging the battery between petrol refills and convert this total into what this would have purchased in terms of gallons of fuel. Then take the mileage between refuelling and divide this "total" of gallons into the mileage etc. Ignoring the cost of electricity my fuel consumption has ranged from a low of 82mpg to a high of 146.27mpg.

Try carmats4u. I got a set of rubber mats for my NX450H+ from them recently and I am impressed by the quality, fit and speed of delivery. Huge range to choose from with lots of trim options.

You can put the NX450h+ into recharge mode however when you do this the car feels entirely different! Engine noise level increases noticeably, performance drops off to the point of feeling sluggish ( strangely the car feels heavy!)and obviously fuel consumption sufferers. My experience indicates fuel consumption in the low 30's in this mode but on the positive side I gained c6 miles of ev charge in a 13 mile journey.

Agree 100% If the Lexus Link App was as good as the car then that would be the icing on the cake!

Basically yes. I was away from home for 5 days last month covering a few hundred miles and didn't charge my 450h+. Reckon that I was getting c50mpg.

Sixth refuelling since I took delivery and mileage now 6200. Latest overall consumption after converting the cost of electric recharges is now 52.91mpg (best achieved 64.22mpg) This is the poorest recorded to date but not surprising as this covers longer journeys using the ICE coupled with colder temperatures affecting EV range. Still very happy as this figure is still 30% better than fuel consumption in my previous NX300h.

Clearly is a growing problem as I experienced the same issue yesterday. Fortunately I knew about the boot release so no great panic at the pumps. Will mention this when it goes in for the LTA issue.

Must have been a minor software blip as its now corrected itself!

I got my letter today. Dealer unsure about the time needed to complete the work to address this issue as software updates can sometimes take longer than anticipated. Appointment made for next month but rather than wait in the showroom (comfortable as it is!) I am being given a courtesy car.

App for no obvious reason is indicating mileage / consumption / range in kilometres! Anybody else had this and how was it remedied?

Think that your colour combo is safe in terms of resale. Sonic Titanium is a popular choice.
