  1. Yes but if you put your hand in you will find a lever which when pushed will open the flap.
  2. If you go into the boot and open the panel on the left wing you can access the mechanism for the flap from there.
  3. An update on this issue. Having eliminated (a) the car and (b) the cable as the problem it left the wall charger so phoned BG for assistance. After 5 call and 4 broken promises of "we will call you tomorrow" I received assistance last Thursday. After trying various combinations they did manage to get the cable to lock on and charge the car remotely however my attempts thereafter resulted in the same issue of it not locking to the car. Tried again last night and amazingly got the cable to lock on for a timed overnight charge but wall box didn't show the usual blue flashing indicator however it did indeed charge the car! BG has promised to send an engineer but with a warning that it could take weeks! Rather disappointing but will see if last night charge was a fluke or whether something has been done remotely to solve this.
  4. Happy 2024! First charge of the New Year with a predicted 48.2/42.4 unsurprisingly fractionally down on previous results.
  5. I certainly don't class it as a slow car. I probably drive more sedately these days but when rapid acceleration is called for (overtaking etc) there is more than enough horses under the bonnet to complete the manoeuvre safely.
  6. It's the inconsistencies that frustrates. Missed journeys, car showing as unlocked when in fact it is locked and vice versa , car being shown as parked miles from where it is actually situated, mileage incorrect and number of days countdown to service incorrect, mileage sometimes shown as km etc etc. Some days its perfect but on others it's not. You just have to look in the NX forum to learn of the issues with the app! Twenty-one months on and the system is improving but in my opinion its still not robust and worthy of the Lexus brand.
  7. If it completed all of these features reliably it would be fine but the fact is it doesn't!
  8. Yes I have to agree. Lexus Link + app is very fragile and unreliable. Fortunately the cars themselves ate great otherwise I may have walked from Lexus.
  9. Shark gets a good name.
  10. It's now stopped counting down the "days until service " on mine! Stuck at 84 days for a week now!
  11. My full car list (including company cars) is as varied as follows - Mini Clubman Mini 1000 Mini 1000 Mini 1000HL MG Metro 1300 Austin Maestro 1.3 Austin Montego 1.6L Estate Austin Montego 1.6SL Estate Peugeot 405 GR Estate Diesel Renault Espace Diesel VW Sharan GL TDi Automatic Mercedes C180 Estate Automatic Volvo S80 Ford Mondeo Ghia TDCI Ford Mondeo Estate Zetec TDCI Mercedes SLK Kompressor Auto (weekend car!) Ford Focus Estate Zetec TDCI Ford Focus Estate Titanium X TDCI Lexus NX 300h Luxury Lexus NX 450h+ Premium Plus Had Austin Rover continued to be in business the list would probably featured more from their range as I was friendly with a local dealer and went against the "approved" company car list to ensure he got my business! Best by far the Lexus NX 450h with the Lexus NX300H running itva very close second. Outwith Lexus the Mercedes C180 was a great car as was the extremely comfortable Volvo S80. The worst - Peugeot 405 Est and Mondeo Zetec Est.
  12. My daily driver back in 2017 was a Ford Focus Titanium X Diesel Estate which in all honesty was a great car with virtually all the options fitted. I also had a Mercedes SLK for weekends and holidays. Was looking at a Discovery Sport or a Jaguar E-Pace when I got an offer to test drive a Lexus NX for 24 hours. The car was hugely impressive but what really sold it to me was the fantastic customer care that Lexus Edinburgh demonstrated. The sales teams at the Land Rover and Jaguar dealerships basically ignored me in the showroom whilst I felt genuinely welcome at Lexus. Now on my second NX.
  13. If a courtesy car is given to you when your Lexus is being repaired as part of a recall I don't think you should be charged. That said check out the excess on the insurance- it may be worth paying to reduce the excess or arrange cover via your own policy.
  14. Lexus haven't issued membership cards in the past couple of years. It's part of their eco credentials I was told. Cover still applies to driver and spouse even when driver/passenger in any other make.
  15. Yes. Charger appears to be working with the plug locking in on the unit.
  16. It was the White Ochre that I had in my NX. Surprisingly easy to keep clean and made for a very bright interior with the panoramic roof!
  17. Mine not locking at all and even when I set 'charge now' nothing happens!
  18. Merry Christmas to you Ronnie and all on the LOC. Have a great time and a peaceful, healthy 2024.
  19. I purchased my original NX in 2018 Luxury and specified the Cream leather interior (Graphite Black bodywork). There there was no White Ash option with Red or Black the alternatives. F sport may have offered white ash inserts with black.
  20. Thanks Paul. Mine was locking the plug immediately on insertion until this week. Strangely it doesn't react to "charge now" any more either!!
  21. I viewed the LBX yesterday. Got to say I was impressed and it actually looks bigger in the metal than the photos suggest. Certainly got a premium feel to the interior and has the expected Lexus attention to detail. Bootspace is actually better than I imagined being deeper than a UX. When the time comes to downsize from my NX it's a car I would certainly consider.
