  1. That's hugely disappointing to hear about and certainly far from the positive experience that I enjoy from my local dealership- Lexus Edinburgh. If I were you I would be contacting the dealer principal at your dealership.
  2. New car day today! Usual exemplary handover by Lexus Edinburgh. Fully charged, full tank of fuel and TWO KEYS! 🔑 😁. Second key issued in a presentation case! Rubber floor mats no longer part of the optional protection pack but Lexus Edinburgh added these. Mud flaps still unavailable so these will be fitted once they are back in stock along with locking wheel bolts.
  3. New builds haven't had that requirement in Scotland over the stated period and must be a recent change?
  4. I'm taking delivery of a new RX this week and is coming complete with 2 keys I am told!!!
  5. Sadly looks like another CANBUS attack. I would get a second opinion from a bodyshop as they may be able to repair the trim rather than replace it. Good luck!
  6. Will shortly be joining this section of the LOC as I am scheduled to take delivery of a RX450h+ Premium Plus with panoramic roof next week. Currently have a 2022 NX450h+ Premium Plus with sunroof which in turn replaced a NX300h Luxury with panoramic roof. Have gone for Sonic Platinum with Ammonite Sand interior. Didn't particularly set out to go for the RX450h as I was actually considering a NX450h+ F-sport for the second half of this year, however I sat in an RX450h + in the showroom, was given a test drive and I was smitten! Look forward to future conversations and will post some pics!
  7. Parking space requirements are a bit of a concern however having test driven the RX and been informed that it's "only a foot longer" than my NX I will report back with further thoughts in due course.
  8. My current NX450h+ is a Premium Plus with sunroof finished in Graphite with Hazel interior. It's approaching 19000 miles in 2 years of ownership. Have opted for the RX450H+ Premium Plus pack with panoramic roof in Sonic Platinum and Ammonite Sand leather. Attractive deal was offered including a current manufacturer discount of £4k, dealer support and incentives plus finance at 1.9% APR. As I said previously Lexus Edinburgh are superb people to deal with and I can't recommend them highly enough. Will comment further once I take delivery.
  9. Will certainly keep in touch with the NX forum! Thanks for all your comments over the last couple of years and your analysis on EV range. Delivery scheduled for next week. I attended the Lexus Edinburgh VIP event last month with the possibility of changing to a NX450h+ F-sport however the colour/trim options available didn't suit despite a great offer on a Graphite/Black & white trim combo. I just didn't want another Graphite NX having chosen that for my last two. Was leaving the showroom content in keeping the NX for at least another 6 months but stopped to have a seat the RX on display. Was suitably impressed, got figures compiled and was surprised that the monthly payment was only c£12 more expensive for a RX450h+ Premium Plus with panoramic roof versus the NX450h+ F-Sport with sunroof. Having had the panoramic roof on my first NX300h I was disappointed that it wasn't an option when I ordered my current NX, however if what I read is correct it will soon be offered on the NX.
  10. Possibly my last post on this section of the LOC.
  11. Possibly my last post on this section of the LOC. Have decided to change my NX 450h+ for a RX 450h+ which arrived at the dealership yesterday. Wasn't really planning to change until the NX was 3 years old however a couple of hours in the showroom and a test drive won me over and I will take delivery of what will be my third new Lexus in 6 years. Hope that it is every bit as good as the previous NX's! As always Lexus Edinburgh and in particular Stuart Wilson have been a delight to deal with every step of the way.
  12. That's a ridiculous price! I am getting a new RX450h+ insured for c25% less than your quoted figure.
  13. It was a short chime and a message on the dash appeared saying "key battery low".
  14. I got a warning on mine. Didn't react to it at first and the reminder message didn't appear again for a few weeks. Have since changed the battery and all good.
  15. Like you my fuse box wasn't suitably placed so a secondary distribution board was created adjacent to the main switch and meter.
  16. I haven’t noticed any apparent drop in standards by my dealership. Indeed I can't praise them highly enough.
  17. If your wall charger is not compatible with the Octopus lowest rate they also offer a tariff that charges 9p between 12.30am and 4.30am. There is a slight premium over the standard rate outwith these hours.
  18. 33.8 was one fill so you have to look at the average which at over 40mpg is perfectly acceptable. Depreciation over 4 years and 32000 miles with the NX300 equated to less than £2600 per year (albeit the covid effect of inflated used car prices helped) and current insurance on the NX450h+ is £348 per annum enhanced fully comp. At over 70mpg for the 450h+ I am quite satisfied thank-you!
  19. Don't agree. I had a NX300H for 4 years and recorded every refuel from day one. Averaged over 40mpg which for a 2.5 litre SUV is quite impressive. Lowest ever was 33.8 (winter) and a high of over 46 (summer). Current 450h+ is giving an equivalent of 70mpg.
  20. Latest model RX rather like NX have the improved security l am informed.
  21. All motor insurance fees have risen. I paid £348 fully comp (enhanced cover) with max ncd last year. Expecting c£550 this year. Interestingly a new RX450h+ is coming in at only £6 more!?!
  22. Thanks Paul I'm very happy with my NX450h+ but have an offer of a new RX450h+. I like the look of the RX but given that my other half doesn't like driving the NX due to its size I very much doubt she will ever drive the RX should I change! After test driving the RX I didn't notice any issues regarding its dimensions but it just looks so big against an NX.
