  1. Absolute cracker of a car for somebody! Have loved the novel leading to its sale. Really tempted to keep it in Scotland but reckon divorce action would follow! Good luck Anthony and I look forward to the next chapter.
  2. Yes Malcolm, they have put in a renewal price but it's more than double last year's NX premium. That said I got them to quote on a NX against my new RX and amazingly the RX was £6 cheaper. How the algorithms work beats me!
  3. Basically yes. I have a smart meter and so the electricity consumption should be accurate.
  4. I tried Tesco today but they declined to quote. No claims in 20 years, 10000 miles pa, 2 drivers, SDP only.
  5. Welcome to snooping on the RX forum Alan! 😁👍 I trust all good with you and your new NX. Your calculation is spot on as far as I am concerned and exactly how I calculate the overall mpg. Your 90mpg is certainly impressive particularly with only your second refuel in almost 4000 miles! (Your piling the miles on!) My overall when I had my NX was 72mpg. First calculation (after 665 miles) on my RX coming in at 62mpg using the same formula although increased temperatures of late are translating to an improving EV range.
  6. I got both keys complete at time of delivery (March 24) of my RX450h+. Still awaiting the wheel bolts.
  7. Think it's going to appear with various model and engine options - ie 350h and 450h+.
  8. It's not been a CANBUS attack as that knocks a headlight out???
  9. Can't compare FWD against AWD as I've only ever owned AWD models (NX300h and NX450h+) but all I can say is that they were fantastic cars, totally reliable, relaxing to drive and very fuel efficient given the size and weight.
  10. My recent experience of driving a Picanto GTLine S 1.0 Turbo was that I was hugely impressed! Having regularly driven a VW UP! over a number of years the Kia felt a more solid and quieter car which was far better equipped than the equivalent top model UP!. Personally think the only weakness in the Kia line-up is the Rio.
  11. Whilst I align with your sentiments regarding MG I don't agree that Hyundai/Kia are "AWFUL". Ten years ago that may have been the case but the range of cars that they produce today are at the cutting edge in terms of design and recognised as such by the car buying public who are seeking above all, reliability and value for money. I have driven various Kia models from the Picanto to the EV6 and have been impressed by the quality. Indeed I came close to purchasing a EV6 to replace my Lexus NX300h two years ago but range issues eventually overtook my enthusiasm for what I considered to be a superb car that was almost on par with Lexus in terms of build quality.
  12. It will be noticeably noisier when it changes from ev mode to running in hybrid mode and using the engine. The CVT gearbox takes a bit of getting accustomed to and bursts of acceleration involving the engine will result in the engine note rising but once speed is achieved it will settle back to lower levels and indeed will switch between ev and hv seamlessly.
  13. That's my RX450h+ one month old now and 665 miles on the clock. First refuel today with just under quarter of a tank indicated. Ignoring electricity charging consumption was over 82mpg but with the cost of charging (at off peak rate) converted to what that equates to in petrol the overall result is in excess of 62mpg. As expected its down on what I was achieving from my previous NX450h+ (72mpg) but better than I had thought so very pleased.
  14. Was away on holiday last week so a couple of 80 mile journeys completed. Definitely quieter than the NX, more relaxed ride (possibly due to longer wheelbase) and certainly a Lexus where you simply waft along. Seat comfort similar to NX. Definitely a bit thirstier (as expected). Hopefully temperatures will rise which should improve ev range. 660 miles on the clock and still got quarter of a tank. Once I refuel and calculate the electricity consumed I will report on overall mpg.
  15. Agree 100%. Likewise the bulk of my local running is in ev mode. My NX450h achieved 70mpg+ overall during 2 years and 18000 miles (converting cost of electricity into petrol cost). Now have a RX450h+ which is (as expected) a bit thirstier.
  16. Yes I heard the same but quite happy with the RX for now (albeit it wasn't built for supermarket/public car parks!)
  17. I was disappointed that the panoramic roof option wasn't available when I had my 450h as I really liked having it on the 300h. As you say the sunroof provides a compromise. Now enjoying a panoramic roof once again on my RX450H!
  18. Absolutely correct. You have to cancel it each time you start the car if you wish to cancel the warning.
  19. Think that there are a number of minor tweaks to the NX spec also going to be announced. Its likely the panoramic roof option will be added to the 450h+ range.
  20. I see the Lexus NX Overtrail has been announced in Europe. Expect that the UK will follow. Looks interesting. See the Lexus Europe website for full details.
  21. Is that not just the sound of the tyres turning whilst the car is stationary and transmitted through the steering? Do you notice the same when the car is in motion?
  22. Looks great! I haven't yet reached the heady heights of 38.7 but its steadily rising. Some milder weather will help! The range is pretty exact whereas the NX450h+ which I had previously was rather optimistic particularly in cold weather. Happy motoring!
