  3. Anyone with an F badge Lexus provided the car is not subject to the sort of person who puts an M5 badge on a 520 diesel

I think if we limit it to F models the numbers will be more handleable, but if other model owners are keen to come along and have a look provided the numbers don't overwhelm the chosen venue we should be okay. I have plucked out these Sundays in June what does everyone think? 11th, 18th (Fathers day so maybe not) and the 25th.

  7. No dates as of yet but it may be a good idea to see what dates suit people. I have had information about two pubs that sound promising, obviously well outside Oxford who like Brighton hate cars.

  11. After the gathering last year which had a decent turnout any thoughts for this year? I was thinking if maybe more central UK like OXFORD way for a venue would suit those located a bit further up the country
  12. I feel for you, it is without doubt a shambles. As mentioned above underfunding has been part of the problem along with many other issues it would appear. Not sure there is even a body to who you can complain to to either.
  13. As expensive as it is, if I were a new owner wanting a decent sound plus the ability to switch it between Loud and sensible I'd go for this. By keeping the standard exhaust in store you can always sell the Armtrix on when you sell the car. It would seem there are always people looking for an aftermarket exhaust for their RCF so I'm sure you'll be able to sell it on for decent money when the time comes.
  14. I meant to say keep the standard as a spare so you can re-fit when you decide to sell.
  15. Just do what I've done and keep the standard exhaust. I used one of the ramp hire companies that are luckily two minutes from my house. Hired the ramp for two hours but it only took just over an hour to do. I know another member on here had an Armytrix fitted by a very good outfit, can't remember who. You can always put the standard exhaust back on to sell it and there will probably always be a secondhand market for the aftermarket. So whatever you buy will have a return in the end.
  16. You're right the car sounds far too castrated in standard form. I have a Quicksilver on mine and love it, I bought it dead cheap but with the benefit on hindsight I'd have bought a valved system. Having said that I enjoy playing around in manual at motorway speeds to subdue the drone which can occur, you can of course just turn the sound system up to eliminate the drone.

  18. A shambles no doubt. I wonder how they manage to solve any crimes these days. Knowing how inept they are it's up to the individual to be vigilant but not too vigilant because they have time to come around and caution and arrest you.
  19. Had mine done yesterday at Hedge End, was asked to have less than a quarter of a tank of fuel when bringing it in, work done and they filled it to half a tank of petrol.

  21. Welcome to the forum and RCF ownership, I'm sure you'll enjoy RCF ownership and you have the most important extra, an aftermarket exhaust so you can enjoy that V8 sound fully.

My experience of Carbon Ceramic brakes on my Boxster was a very positive one, speaking as someone who managed to boil his brakes on every track-day I did, it came as a very pleasant surprise to me that I could brake much later and much harder with the CC's in fact no fade, no wear, no dirt. Only downside is if you landed in the kitty litter around the edge of the track the stones could ruin them. I spoke to a few die hard GT3 Porsche owners who had all swopped out the Carbon Ceramics for steel rotors for purely that reason. They are very good but very expensive to replace.
  24. Looks interesting, I know there has been a fair bit of discussion about pads. I'm interested. Only Carbon Ceramic brakes have no brake dust at all from my experience with them.
  25. I did wonder about this at times, when I had my Boxster the local Porcshe dealer would always give me a decent spec 911 as a courtesy car. I was convinced it was a marketing ploy to sow the seeds in your mind.
