  1. Well done, really nice colour too. Just checked the details on the sellers web site looks like a bargain, low mileage and TVD too.
  2. Good helpful info thanks, so there is a definite reduction in brake dust. It's strange the chap who used to tune my RX7 always said EBC were crap and was reluctant to put them on one of my Renault vans although I've not noticed any difference brake wise, the van has been remapped so needed better pads.
  3. Yes the red one I mentioned is near Bristol it has the TVD too, the carbon edition has bonnet, roof and rear spoiler in carbon plus the TVD as standard. No vented seats though unlike the standard car.
  4. It's very much a subjective choice, my experience was trying an earlier model without, then test driving one with. Cars from 2017 onwards have AVS but it's not necessarily a deal breaker. Basically having run the car for about 9 months I'm happy with my choice. If you drive any distance then setting the car in standard mode it is quite a bit softer/smoother. Then you can dial in Sport+ and you feel the car immediately tighten up suspension wise. I initially thought in Sport+ my car is more akin to the standard drive in the pre AVS cars from what I remember. Having said that Tein do an active system for the previous ISF car which I understand transforms the car ( I have also used the Tein system in my hot Mini and it is night and day compared to the standard) so when this is available for the RCF it will probably be a better option than AVS as you can probably lower the car too. There is a red one on Autotrader low mileage and it has the TVD.
  5. Hello and welcome, good choice of colour. There is a very low mileage red one at Cheltenham Lexus not sure what your budget is. It's a late model with the Active suspension (a particular favourite of mine). Always worth checking out the used approved section of the Lexus web site
  6. I reported it to e-bay as a potential fraudulent sale just after Arqum's post about the other vehicles for sale. E-bay should reward members for doing their policing.
  7. You're right, the other items are equally too good to be true. E-bay is getting a bit like the wild west these days.
  8. Up for sale on e-bay at the moment is what is either the bargain of the year or a con. 25000 miles TVD although it is white for £18,1000
  9. Can't for the life of me think why, lets face it neither car is it home on a track so we are really in the realms of road behaviour. Maybe the GSF which I think has TVD if driven as a comparison after an RCF without TVD you could perhaps note a difference. It also depends on who was driving it too as someone like Chris Harris can drive and would be experienced enough to tell any difference. I've been doing track days since the mid 80's and with that experience wouldn't like to commit myself to such a statement. But as I don't know the sales people concerned who may well be hardened track day fiends I'll probably file it under sales twaddle for the time being.
  10. I must admit if I were after a four door, four seater car I'd have one. They seem to come equipped with everything as standard too like the TVD if I remember correctly. Put on a nice aftermarket exhaust that can be adjusted to quiet for those occasional long trips what more could you want, plus you hardly ever see one apart from the odd event. Not sure about the best F car though as I like a coupe.
  11. I think another member on here is showing his RCF at this event, can't go myself.
  12. It was explained to me once that having a flatplane V8 engine like the one in my Esprit is like having two four cylinder engines so no typical V8 cross plane engine burble. Although Ferarri always made the flatplane sound an awful lot better than the Lotus engine.
  13. Your exhaust looks and sounds exceptional, nice to meet you and your father. I came back to discover you had left, didn't hear you leave either.
  14. Nice to meet up with you again, although no Wagyu burgers on the menu this time.
  15. I agree weather did help, did anyone else hear Cezar B leaving? he must have set off half a dozen car alarms on his way out.
  16. Here's a photo of our arrival at the pitch. Great day and nice to meet up with many members. Those GT Haus exhausts look so good particular on the GSF with titanium tips but the sound is outrageously loud.
  17. Look forward to hearing that in the flesh so to speak, I don't think video sound clips cover a good enough frequency range or at least crappy computer speakers to replicate the sound properly.
  18. I guess if we plan to leave the services at about 9 to 9.30 maybe, anyone who arrives later from what I've read doesn't have a problem because on the ticket it says entry is from 8.30 am until 3 pm. It sounds like we may have quite a loud convoy. I don't have a WhatsApp account is it as crappy as Facebook?
  19. Sounds a good plan, hopefully the weather is going to behave for us.
  20. I've just seen that too. But as someone who relies on having decent forecasts one of my weather apps is still saying dry. Overall our UK weather forecasts are mostly inaccurate and crap
  21. I've just realised I might as well re-cut (tap) the existing welded nuts on the standard exhaust rather than buying new bolts I'm guessing there is enough 'meat' to re-cut. Just did a check today and nothing has moved or come loose on my flange nut and secondary nut setup.
  22. What a sound, and of course the pyrotechnics to just finish it off.
  23. The plan is to meet up at Rownhams service station from 8.30 onwards with the intention of leaving for the event at 9. Thought you had sold the exhaust and RCF?
  24. This thread has just reminded me that I'd better order a spare set of standard exhaust bolts as I had to cut a different thread to fit a flanged nut then and secondary nut to secure it. Can't imagine anyone wanting to buy the car without the Quicksilver when I come to sell it, but you never know someone may wish to have the standard exhaust.
