  1. The ride should be fantastic, did it weigh much in total?
  2. This is on Youtube at the moment not sure how the RCF did in race 1 .Looks like the solitary RCF is doing okay good interesting racing Finished 5th not bad for a single car team
  3. That is outrageously bad service. I've always been very wary of tyre fitters having heard and seen some really bad examples similar to yours on friends cars. There are people out there who do a good job locally in Hampshire I use one who is trusted to fit tyres on wheels from a local car restoration company, last time I was there they were fitting tyres to some wheels that were £10K a piece.
  4. I'm glad you found that out because someone mentioned only one reversing light to me a while ago and I was going to mention it to Lexus on the next service. So on the basis I've had my car 10 months now I should have known better.
  5. I think the chap at Prestige Wheels where I bought my Vossen wheels supplied some black nuts for mine, they were not the ridiculously expensive Vossen nuts but a very high quality alternative. Give Delroy a call at Presige Wheels 0121 377 8866
  6. Just seen the advert on Autotrader it's also a later model with AVS, low mileage too. As others have said won't be for sale for long at that price provided it's all okay.
  7. Thanks, I guess I'll have to just pop along to Hedge End.
  8. Done that according to the handbook as someone else had found that section for me. I need a Techstream I'll either have to buy one or find a local owner with one.
  9. Thanks, I'm not too sure as I was waiting in reception while they were doing their thing. How much is a Techstream? I was thinking of positioning the old wheels tyres next to the new ones and turning on the ignition to see if I could wake the system up but it's probably a daft idea
  10. Since having the new wheels fitted I've had a problem with the TPMS light coming on, initially the elusive button under the dash solved it, but I'm still not getting a reading on the display of the tyre pressures plus the light on the dash still appears. Is it a case of taking it to Hedge End to get it re-calibrated. They are metal valves so I know Prestige did fit proper TPMS valves.
  11. Quite a story, and a cautionary note for everyone too. Glad it was all sorted for you in the end. Just to clear the old colour debate up, red cars are the fastest, black RCF's can fly, white ones are...😉
  12. So what's your thought on it having had it a few days? I wonder if like many of us on here you've found and exploited the manual mode.
  13. If I remember correctly that was the chap from Fareham's car. We were admiring it and how nice it's condition was at Simply Japanese.
  14. I have to say a long time ago I was put off buying an ISF because of the fake tips, I guess i prefer natural tits to fake tits.
  15. A member Hokeyedwards on here seems to have found some pads that help the squealing. Best find a decent local detailer near you to sort the paintwork they are the best initial route to good paintwork.
  16. Sorry my fault entirely, I'm absolutely rubbish at cut and paste or in my case cut and f**k up
  17. That colour is superb in the sunlight good choice.
  18. Yes it is counter intuitive and best left to let it do the work or so I have found. Difficult to change the habits of a lifetime though. Being a self confessed gadget freak I jumped at the option of having AVS and TVD on a car only because it was on a Lexus. Of all my cars that I've had in the past I'd run a mile from such technically advanced/complex devices as they'd either go wrong and cost a fortune (lotus etc) or cost an absolute fortune to service and keep in tip top condition (AMG, Porsche etc)
  19. Many thanks, Have you any idea if anyone makes the lip for the front now? I did buy some cheap e-bay lips but didn't install them in the end but I wonder if anyone new has come into the market and are able to offer a complete front and rear lip kit.
  20. Good write up thanks, I'm a bit of an AMG fan myself having owned the N/A SL63 then the Cl65. Before buying the CL65 I did test drive the later C63, it is a very nice piece of kit and AMG should be proud of getting the exhaust to sound as good if not better than the N/A 6.2 engine. The only problem I had was the image the car was starting to portray and although it shouldn't influence you, it did me. In particular around where I live there is a young guy who drives his matt grey C63 like an idiot, he nearly wiped me out as I was about to turn right into where I live in a 30 limit, he is going to cause a big accident one day. But then there is an attractive young lady who drives her C63 in a way you should in 30 limits. So there was my dilemma the C63 seemed to me to be the chavs choice of weapon. I'll be interested to hear your opinions about running costs on the AMG after a year or so, because as someone who doesn't let money get in the way of enjoying himself I did find some of the bills a bit high to say the least. I also had a less than pleasant experience with one main dealer but found Brooklands (MB World) to be pretty good on servicing. One of the guys I used to meet up with at the regular MB World get togethers has a tuned E63 giving truly monstrous BHP figures trouble is it looks like a bloody taxi.
  21. Me neither, although once again I watched the Chris Harris video of the RCF on track then on the road before buying the RCF. I tend to agree with his findings on most of the cars I have bought and part of my buying research into every new car I buy is to see if he has done a review. I am in complete agreement regarding his conclusion that the RCF may grow on you more over time.
  22. You can even get a super quality scale model in that colour
