lexus rc500 anyone

I did question the contents of the Plus Pack some time ago, my thinking was it must have everything including the TVD. Sadly it appears to be only confusing sales bollocks. -

I remember reading somewhere that that dealer should be avoided at all costs. From the various posts I've read about returning leased cars the inspection is pretty thorough so can't imagine this car would attain a decent price at the end of the lease. -
Does the LC have any issues that would warrant the cost? or do Lexus know something everyone else doesn't.
-
WOW! someone needs to have a word with Lexus, that seems expensive. 2 for 1 would be okay but one year is not on.

It does sound very suspect, still at least you found a good one. I'm tempted to resurrect the thread on Pistonheads just to see what happened. -

I remember that GSF, I seem to recall it had been re-sprayed on a few panels so I guess it had a shady past. I suppose ideally we want to buy a car with a full service history but wonder just how much you can ruin a car like the RCF/GSF? -

Very nice, looks to be a good thorough job too. -
I extended the warranty yesterday, as I took the car into Lexus Hedge End for an interim service (car has only done 2000 odd miles since the last service) Strange experience as I was asked to sit in a room especially for isolation purposes, got bored so walked around outside for a while as you can't go around the showroom. They did manage to to feed the TPMS numbers into the car so I haven't got that annoying tyre pressure warning light which is a relief but they did charge me £60 for the pleasure . I still think the Lexus warranty is ridiculously cheap compared to some of my past cars where the manufacturers warranty was in excess of £2K for a year. Must try to use the car this year, with Sainsbury's premium at £1.06 a litre seems silly not to take the car out.

Is anything other than a Quicksilver going to raise warranty issues? Although I still think the GT Haus and Armytrix with the remote controlled valve is by far the best idea. -

I think that’s overegging his talents. His review of my mini clubvan was truly cringeworthy. I did raise the question whether he pays people to watch his YouTube content as he has enormous viewing figures and quite frankly he is s**t -
There is a nicely specced blue RCF for sale privately on AutoTrader for around £26K, looks to have a decent service record too. As you say the warranty is 'cheap' and by all accounts very good value compared to other marques official warranty. Servicing costs aren't bad either with a major service costing about £600 and the standard about £300. I had no reservations about buying one with all the toys as I had, and still have full confidence in the quality of the components. So far I believe Lexus stand by their products unlike a few German marques I've had where obvious design/manufacturing faults are left for the owner to pay for when they fail.

Not many people know but his backing band the Pirates were one of the very best rock and roll bands going, again I was fortunate enough to see the Pirates live for about 2 shillings and sixpence their intro was a Jolly Roger type tune with cannon fire then they burst into 'Please don't Touch' a really good rock and roll number. They also did a live session for the BBC which was again brilliant.

I've seen him and his excellent band many times in small venues, he can certainly play.

Covid-19 and F car prices.

Well from my experience an F car isn't easy to sell as was pointed out to me. So I guess there is absolutely no chance of selling one now, unless you offer to give it away. Still I can think of worse cars to be stuck with. If what I read in some of the financial papers is correct we're f**ked well and truly, cars, property you name it. It looks like the fabled 'Black Swan event' is on its way. -
I've got to agree with all stated above. With the current situation I can imagine a glut of cars coming on to the market which I'm sure will have an effect. Up till now going in and buying a car cash be it from a loan or whatever didn't seem to have much impact but I think a new era is about to start regarding that. Personally I'd hang on for a few more months and see how this all pans out.

WOW I'm speechless, over my years of going to see bands Eddy and the Hotrods is right up there and it's easy to see why. As I mentioned earlier nearly all of these 'pub rock bands' of that era were very good musicians and seeing them in smaller, hot venues just added to the experience. Fantastic, again the comment at the end is golden.

I must admit that over the years I had a few 'jazz guys' join my 6-7-8 piece boogie boogie band. Alarm bells should have rang as each of them seemed to like Steely Dan (nothing wrong with them after all reeling in the years is quite good) anyway we did have a guitarist, keyboard player and a sax player join us for a while. They introduced me to the track below which I still like, and we used to attempt to play it. I quite liked the bass part as I was able to just walk the bass up and down in the key, probably too similar to some of my blues walking bass lines for them but that's what they got. We were lucky as I had a small recording/practice studio set up at a friends factory so we spent quite a few evenings jamming/improvising but I still felt at times they disappeared up their own backsides, they did move on to another band after a while.

Although always overshadowed by his brother Jimmie Vaughan is one hell of a guitarist. I've seen him live several times with the Fabulous Thunderbirds and later with Kim Wilson. Saw him on a double bill with Ronnie Earl someone if you've not heard his stuff is well worth checking out .

Is it just me or does the lead singer remind you of Colonel Kurtz from Apocalypse Now. Another great tune by the way. photograph of you is one I also remember, again a good catchy tune.

Yes that is the same one, looking back at my e-bay history I bought it 2018. I've had a close look at both models and I think the blue non Kyosho model is actually better and cheaper, the seats move forward and all the seat buttons are there and the interior is spot on in every detail including the dash-board. I have a fairly big collection of die cast cars (mostly old Gorgi Lotus all mint in boxes) and it is up there with CMC and we all know how expensive they are.

The orange one is Kyosho the blue one has Lexus China C&A on the base. The underside of the blue one has all the detail of suspension etc, it is truly a very high quality model the interior is exactly as the car in every detail. The blue one cost me £100 and the Kyosho £182 which in my opinion is not good value considering the detail of the blue one. Just found the e-bay item for the blue one eBay item number: 252505493172 Just tried the link it doesn't work but if you put this in on e-bay search it finds them 1/18 Toyota Lexus RCF RC F Diecast Model Racing Car Toys For kids Gifts Blue

I bought two models from e-bay of the RCF both were about £150 the blue one has all opening doors etc and the engine detail is superb, the orange one doesn't have opening doors. The detail on both is superb and they weigh an awful lot just like the real thing.

Superb, I really liked this when it came out. Quite a few of my friends in the band thought it too pop-y but I always maintain a good tune is a good tune regardless of Genre, bit like George Mcray Rock your Baby my wife still ribs me for liking this as it's the dead opposite of what she thinks I like. Love the comment on the end absolute classic.
