  1. If anyone has the time it is well worth checking out Dr David Starkey's content/channel on You Tube. He is hard going but has a grasp of the situation and puts it into words so well. He has much to say about Starmer and Gray. He is a Conservative and was cancelled by the BBC which is a bit of a badge of honour really.
  2. Just thought I'd add this.
  3. Hopefully the Teins will work out for you. I'm a big fan of Tein having had them on my track prepared RX7 and then on my highly modified Mini which had the wonderful Tein EDFC system fitted. In fact I've decided that if another AVS shock absorber goes/leaks and needs replacing on my RCF I'm going to rip out the whole lot and replace it with a Tein EDFC coil-over system. I have no doubt from my personal experience it will be better than the already excellent AVS system on my RCF
  4. Hopefully any potential buyers would make this forum their first port of call and be aware.
  5. Just looked at the photos of it on AT, my conclusion you get what you pay for although I'm sure there must be plenty of life left in the engine.
  6. And to just add to the confusion my car had the green coloured speakers which I think were a different option maybe for that year
  7. As I mentioned on your ML question dealers seemed to always get it wrong regarding AVS. When I was looking to buy an RCF I was lucky to find a dealer with both. The 2017 car had AVS and to me I preferred the AVS car's ride despite being a later car and costing about £12K more. Today Tein make a far superior active ride suspension system for the RCF. I had the Tein system fitted to my highly modified Mini Clubvan and it was wonderful. 2017 cars were the sweet spot because they had AVS and £185 a year road tax.
  8. I agree about blaming the dealers for being lazy and not doing their research properly. The number of RCF's advertised with AVS was in the past unbelievable. I always told prospective owners to get a photo with the bonnet up. If you could identify wires coming out of the top of the struts it was an AVS equipped car and of course 2017 or later.
  9. Spotted this morning about 11 anyone on here?
  10. No problem because its not car specific as some of my fellow Lotus Anoraks also turn up. The food is pretty good and being C&M you never know what may be in the car park. Hope to see you there.
  11. Thought I would post this here for anyone who's likely to be about on a Wednesday lunch time. I have posted the same on the Yaris GR owners forum too. So if anyone is at a loose end Wednesday lunchtime I meet up with anyone who wants to turn up for an informal gathering each week. It's situated at the crossroads of the A272 and the A32 in Hampshire. They do a good homemade Pizza and a decent burger and chips, be careful driving the roads to the C&M site because the bikers used the road as a racetrack and they have put up average speed cameras and the odd speed trap in the villages leading to the site.
  12. I've just been watching the IMSA 6 hour Watkins Glen race on Youtube. Looks like the RCF's will be in the World Endurance series in the newly formed GT3 group and the RCF's in both GTD and GTE categories in the IMSA series. Great to see our cars regularly racing on track, they do look good.
  13. I did find a video on the LeMans car and they have kept the basic engine unchanged from the road going RCF. Obviously suspension is highly modified but the engine has a limited number of tuning options available,
  14. I'm keeping an eye out this year for the GT3 series the RCF is racing in. If by any chance they are at Brands Hatch it would make a good Lexus owners meeting. From my recollection of them a long time ago they were thunderous to say the least.
  15. Yes that car is an embarrassment, I've always said that if you want to go on track buy a 2017 RCF and spend the rest on a Caterham or like me a hot VX220 Turbo makes far more sense. just found this
  16. I really enjoyed this years LeMans must admit the RCF being in the GT3 section did influence my attention. Found this on Youtube about the RCF GT3 car
  17. As you say such a good looking car, back in the lead this morning. It's great to see the car racing. Like I say they had about 4 of them racing at Brands Hatch many years ago. Id love to see it win. More details on Facebook and X search for Akkodis race team
  18. Yes indeed and seems to be pretty good as well
  19. Thats it I've caught a few glimpses of it on Eurosport, I remember many years ago they were racing at Brands Hatch, I didn't have my RCF then but do remember the thunderous sound, mind you so were the AMG's making a nice noise. Looks like a BMW has taken the lead now
  20. Yes I saw that too, but the Lexus RCF number 87 is currently leading it's GT3 group
  21. Car number 78 is currently racing at the Lemans 24 hours. I tried to get a picture of it but failed. Anyway good to see the car racing
  22. Yes I still have the original wheel and the exhaust, Like I say I'm happy to return the car to stock and sell it. As I'm sure the wheels and Quicksilver exhaust will sell separately. I'd ask £35 for the car stock. Just to add this is a late 2017 car so has the adaptive suspension which is a must for mixed driving. And the TVD
