  1. disagree, exhaust manifolds are are pretty exact science, for a given displacement its pretty easy to calculate the length of the headers required to give the desired outcome. Our cars as standard have log manifolds, which are extremely basic, with tubular manifolds you essentially have two options, long tube and short tube, long tube will give you greater peak power whereas short tube will give you greater initial torque (either will be an advantage over standard), my preference would be to go with a long tube equal length header (which I am uncertain that PPE or Sikky offer on a RHD application) however as I mentioned before its easily possible to overlay the power vs torque stats to determine the optimum lengths to get the best of both worlds.
  2. yes, those are the ones, I got mine through Corby motorsport, you can specify the spring rates and the dampers are valved accordingly
  3. it was me that ran the Bilsteins and they ride pretty good, I do however prefer my BC Racing coilovers with 16/12 springs
  4. although the KW V3 are extremely good dampers they come with very low spring rates (11/8 kg I believe) and as the fronts are conical springs extremely hard to get alternatives, my assumption that they are so low would be that they are not specific to the ISF bat cater for the full IS family, if you are looking to retain stock ride height the spring rates are not ideal, although not the end of the world you will loose a but of that dynamic feel, If you are however planning to to reduce the ride height remember this will change the roll centres and will need to be stiffer sprung, a minimal drop you in my opinion need a 14/10 setup, bigger drops a 16/12 setup (I run a 16/12 setup) If you do go down the coilover route, whichever brand you go for make sure you have them professionally setup on corner weights as they generally come with only enough preload to stop the spring coming loose during shipping, the whole point of being able to adjust the preload and to a certain extent the height is that you can match the weight on each corner as close as possible, when you see people slating coilovers of any brand this is generally because they have not had them setup correctly.
  5. this was on a trip to London and back from Coventry
  6. yep, I am at 112K
  7. shipping costs and taxes would kill it
  8. Shipping costs and taxes would kill it
  9. if there is enough interest I would be happy to arrange a group buy, what drives the cost on items like this is the initial engineering to develop it, if that engineering cost can be shared over multiple units instead of a one off it will dramatically reduce the cost, , I have worked for the likes of Jaguar Land Rover, Rolls-Royce etc sourcing components like these. Likewise I have worked with a UK manufacturer to develop 2 piece bells and rotor brake setup for the ISF, if a few are interested I would be happy to setup a group buy for these too
  10. I spoke to Simpson race exhausts a while ago and iirc they wanted approx £2k, I am currently unemployed at the moment so the project is on hold, but the next people I am going to speak to os Benjamin Clowes Fabrication, his work is stunning!
  11. the fit on the Androids is questionable and from what I understand they are far from plug and play
  12. how long has it been since you had them powder coated? you need to leave it at least a week before fitting tyres as its still soft
  13. As my BBS wheels have polished rims which the salt will eat I will be reverting back to standard wheels with Pirelli Sotozeros on for the winter
  14. another fail from BCS, they didn't collect the car
  15. brake callipers will look a little different tomorrow 😎
  16. for £3 per week over 18 months, yeah I think its worth it
  17. Mine had Yokos on it when I bought it, now I have changed them the PS4S the grip is a lot better!
  18. I found lighter wheels and two piece brakes made quite a noticeable difference
  19. The GSF is a funny one, in pics I find it always looks a bit awkward, however one parked opposite me at Caffeine and Machine last weekend and I was totally converted, they are stunning in the flesh!
  20. tyre wear was pretty much perfect 3.5mm from inside to out then 3mm on the outer edge I think my driving is more spirited than aggressive 😇
  21. they videos it and sent me the video, fronts are fine but the rears are down t0 3,5mm, please not they said nearly due for replacement, I know they still have some life left, just surprised they have worn so quickly
  22. I had 4 brand new Michelin PS4S fitted at the end of January, dropped the car off at Lexus Coventry for a service today to be told that my rear tyres are nearly due to be changed, I would guess I have covered approx 8k max in that time, what are you guys getting?
  23. im in Nuneaton so would be interested in a meet, will more than likely be heading up to Caffeine and Machine Sunday or Monday if anyone is interested?
