Morning all, I am looking into the possibility of having a duck bill bootlid made for my ISF (think along the lines of the E36 M3 CSL) something subtle that is actually part of the bootlid rather than stuck on, likely to be available in GRP or full carbon.
Are any of you guys interested?
no, the real problem is there isnt another V8 IS available in the UK, hybrid is utter dog ****, its one or the other, otherwise you are just carrying around unnecessary weight, smiles per gallon, V8 still wins
i think you could be right, taken it out in the dry today and its fine, they are relatively inexpensive, so will get a set and bang them in when i change the pads
thought i would share this as i thought it might be useful for others.
Driving back from Birmingham the other night i was greeted with lots of lovely warning lights, after several hours of research I hoped I had found the issue and happy to report I was correct, took the car to a local tyre shop, had the tracking done and BOOM! All lights are gone!
totally agree with your principle on tyres, unless you are actually wanting to promote understeer/oversteer, brake pads however dont feel this is an issue, i have on many cars ran more aggressive pads on the front (assuming they are more aggressive?) without any issues, will be trying it on the ISF in the coming weeks
if cracked they can still be repaired, sand the cracked area until the dust is just black (instead of white, with a small brush coat with resin, leave to dry, block it flat and apply clear coat.
if its a real carbon fibre, which it appears to be, a body shop could very easily flat and rear clear them, i have a recently re-done my rear spoiler under the guidance of a friend that used to manufacture carbon parts at Prodrive
