  1. its been a few years since I have done audio stuff, but for components I always used Focal for subs and amps I prefer Rockford Fosgate
  2. The M3 is faster.. regarding the gearbox, my view, it was ahead of everything else, I can't remember how many Mercedes I have had with 9 speed gearboxes, but its a lot, its really not a problem! Suspension, the earlier ISFs have harsher suspension that the later ones, mine has Bilstein shocks that apparently make it less harsh, but will in the near future be fitting some BC coilovers as I would still be happy with a slightly firmer ride
  3. I'm sure we never do 😇
  4. the smoke in the video I would say was un burnt fuel in the exhaust from over run fuelling,, many manufacturers tweak the MAPs of cars appearing on car shows.
  5. seems unlikely as the consumption of the oil would be pretty much instantaneous, but as said is not really detrimental anyway. Just been reading up on the RR-Racing AOS and was a little concerned to read that it is sealed system, given that they state it runs high PCV's!!
  6. if you are getting excessive amounts of oil breathing there is already an issue, these engines run scavenge pumps so unless under really heavy track use should be absoluetly minimal (yours is an exception being supercharged as you may experience some piston blow by) however this being said oil as we know is a combustable and is being added to the inlet after the MAF so will be enriching the air/fuel ratio thus running rich, not so much an issue as running lean. Even under heavy constant breathing (worn rings etc) the ECU can account for running rich by adjusting the fuelling/ignition timing based on the lambda values, this would effect performance but would still be safe (the bigger impact on performance would be the worn rings themselves) These Engines consume a huge amount of air, it would take a considerable amount of oil to cause any detriment.
  7. @Peter P18 What concerns do you have with the breather system feeding back into the inlet?
  8. but its like sitting in a Vauxhall Astra! I was really tempted before buying the F, but its like pulling a minger and sobering up before you get her back home, I just couldn't do it!
  9. looks stunning, i know what you mean about tying all the work together, when I first got mine I had planned a number of things on a pretty tight schedule, new suspension, wheel refurb, caliper refurb etc non of which I have managed to achieve in the time frame, it is however booked in for detailing end of this week for paint correction and ceramic coating, so supper excited!!!
  10. as said pricing it competitively is the key, the F cars are generally bought by car enthusiasts looking for that particular car so will find them wherever you advertise them
  11. I am not sure there is a USB cable on the 08 models....
  12. try as I might, I can't import my contacts from my iPhone, 08 ISF, is it possible? ]
  13. the grey area comes if the whole system is uncertified, in most cases it is because the tow bar doesn't fit without cutting the bumpers on the 'sport models' for example you can make a certified tow bar bit a certified chassis, ie IS250/ISF just by cutting your bumper, there will be no issues
  14. there would be no issues, whilst still under EU law there is still an equivalency policy, ie IS250 etc are allowed to tow therefore it can carry over if the fundamental structure is the same, key driver being the weight of the vehicle and in this case the ISF is heavier than that of the homologated vehicles so more favourable
  15. so something has gone wrong somewhere, my billet MAF housing has arrived, I am sure I read somewhere that they have a 75mm dia MAF housing and reading that RR Racing change it to a 83mm, this seemed to make sense. low and behold its too small, the standard housing is 83mm!!!
  16. unfortunately these Lexus have really soft paints I bought mine on a overcast/damp day and it looked gleaming, I was horrified when I first saw it in bright sunshine swirls everywhere!! however because it has soft paint they are really easy to correct, mine is booked in later this month to be detailed and I'm having a ceramic coating applied which should help prevent future stir;s for a while.
  17. no I have both keys, but recently lost my girlfriends car key (she only had one), after much ringing round found a fella who was super helpful and could get keys faster than the local dealer and was about half the price
  18. Have to say Dan you planning was awesome, between us we made a bit of a hash of it, but when we decided to do our own thing, we followed your route in reverse and it was awesome, by this time the sun was just starting to set, combined with the autumn leaves it was breath taking, so thank you so much really looking forward to the next one!!
  19. Was really gutted for you Bob, given how far you had traveled to join us, Definitely, as a lessons learnt for next time, we need some better method of communication, radios would be my preference given how cheap they are, but at a very minimum a WhatsApp Group
  20. Unbelievable service from Alex and in fact, the entire team at Lexus Derby. Alex was so enthusiastic about having us there and was so good to our dog, Luca. The team bought him a bowl of water into the showroom as soon as we arrived. Alex couldn't have been more hospitable and nothing was too much to ask of him. However, Rich OD'ed on caffeine, but I was happy with the IV drip of caffeine as it was quite an early start for me 😄. When we're in the market for a new Lexus (PS I loved the RCFs and totally want one 😉), we'll definitely drop by Lexus Derby. All the best, Sian ( ohhh and Rich and Luca too!!) haha x
  21. nice one 👍, forgot to ask you about your spare intake
  22. Roose say we are looking at approximately £80 for the intake pipe
  23. Where are the reflectors from Pete?
