  1. Well if we are leaving at bridge at 11am sharp.. driving at steady 70 :whistling: ...... (my maths is good but not my geography of the M1)

If you PM one of us your mobile number, we can call you when we leave and keep you updated with an ETA... I dont have a hands free kit, but my cousin will be taking care of my fone

    :shifty:

Well, I cant believe the 70 bit for one minute :D Thats why I didnt just equste some maths.

Stop sodding worrying/joking bout the mobile phone tingy, I have never issued a ticket for using a mobile whist driving, cant say why, but the words "not being a Hypocrite" spring to mind..

  2. if I can try the impossible task and attempt to judge what time you'll all be going past j9 (Dunstable turn off) M1, I will try and tag on.

(thats if missus and baby are all ready to leave at a set time on saturday in order to do this.)

Impossible question time, any ideas give or take 30mins, what time you'll pass J9 of the M1 heading north. This junciton is the one in the middle of nowhere, past emel Hempstead at J8 and before Luton J10.

  3.:ohmy::crybaby: WTF Hope you get it sorted soon mate.....shes a beut....who was the third car in your mini convoy yesterday?? (play ice)

Shahz, if you are talking about the 100 plus club on the M-Way, I was there with Fargo. (maybe I was the third car in the convoy that you refer to?-no mention about my job anyone please on here, this is a public forum and can be read by anyone. :P )

I slowed down as in the distance I saw flashing headlights about two miles back on a bend and dip in the M25. I thought I had "had it!".

That is when you buzzed past me whilst I was doing a "steady" 65 in the slow lane and you beeped at me in the fast lane I tried to get your attention that the blues and twos were coming......

Once the white estate Focus buzzed passed on blue lights and it was clear that it was "only" a dog unit already responding to a call, not motorway traffic unit.

I then sped up again behind you and flashed my headlights, do you recall? I was gonna tail you all the way to my Hemel turn off, but the Blue E class old dog Merc pushed in the way and you were gone...

  4. I agree, top marks for arranging that.

first TV prog filming i have gone to/been part of.

good to see Jezza, james and richard werent up their own ****s and were happy to chat with the audience between takes.

I know some members on here are likely to be very prominent in a LOT of the camera shots when screened on sunday night. Couldnt miss you Scorpion.

Good to meet some new faces, didnt get to speak with everyone, but JA is almost upon us-----beer-a-hooeys a plenty will flow, there'll be more time then. :D

  5. A friend said this to me...

    "BE WARNED

Having a ticket does not mean you will get in to the filming. I had tickets late last year but was turned away as the studio was full they said. I was well ****** off as I had just driven over 200 miles and been up all night. The studio is in the middle of noware so make sure you get there a couple of hours early as I would hate anyone else to spend the amount of time and money getting there as I did only to be let down. They give out more tickets then there actully is space due to them expecting people not to turn up."

    Anything in this?

  6. In TA days, I carried around an SA80 over the weekends, blank firing and live firing.

During Hendon training had a day out at an undisclosed venue and fired one live round on a target range with the MP5 (machine gun carried at Heathrow), and three live rounds out of the Gloc pistol.

  7. Right, dont tell no one (lol-it's a public forum!)

I found out some info on the car today somehow

It is confirmed as an Altezza RS200

Regd keeper had it since 10/03/2004. A Mr I Khan in E17. But a new V5 has been issued very recently...The reply address from the eBay seller is Roohi Khan. So this is fine.

So, the seller most likely has bought the car as a trader recently, bought a Odometer/speedo clock with less miles on (maybe-no evidence to prove this end), and then installed it making the car appear with lower mileage...And then, this is backed up because the car was broken into and all of the paperwork/history was stolen.

I think the car is generally legit as an Altezza, but the mileage could be doubted.

The first paragraph is fact, the second paragraph is opinion.

i am going to edit this above info in 24 hrs.

  8. I have a mate - top bloke he is.... but only OUTSIDE of his car! What does he drive? A 3yr old black 325i of course!

We share driving to work - when I drive it's a relaxed smooooth drive, and takes about 60 minutes. When he drives it's white knuckle, aggressive, cringe-worthy, uncomfortable burts of speed, swapping lanes, violent braking and feats of breath-taking selfishness, and it still takes about 60 minutes!

I have to admit, his car is quiet, it doesn't rattle, and it is very quick. But I still wouldn't buy one

Sometimes my beemer mode comes back when I see beemers in the fast lane (dubbed BMW lane), and I hassle them to move out of the way. They dont like it.

The Tezz 200 is a much sharper, crisper drive than any bm I have tried and the "turn in" feels more prescise and responsive etc.

The Tezz/IS200 is the "Ultimate Driving Machine" anyday

  9. Sorry people this proves my point.

Your talking about worries with imports.

She has history but its all in japanese. I cant read japanese!

I have seen alot, take my word for it.

Altezzas are not the IS200 Lexus. Toyota build certain cars for different markets.

    Altezzas are Toyotas not Lexus.

I really dont mean to offend anyone here, If I have I am so sorry.

    Im only speaking from experience.

Yes, as I stated it looks good age wise as far as I could see....

    But.

He said there was no history as the car had been broken into, and as of this he could not verify mileage..and I stated myself that from experience, that is the only concerning issue to me.

Personally, I would love to find a Lexus/jap breakers yard and buy the uk spec interior as on second looks, I really like it.

  10. i was one once....

I see the therapy and pills have worked, nice colour though!

    The pills helped, yes.

I even threw the car away at a loss cause I was salivating for the Lex (well, Tezz).

Was a secure ride (also translates to BORING!). Would havr another in time, but not this side of 30.

Do like the E46 shape, but as a driving experience the Lex is totally better. 100%.

Are you serious about the colour, liking it?

Was a difficult colour to sell on, not being metallic.
