  1. I will get me and family ready to roll at 11am onwards.

If you are driving on, give me a call, I will attempt to rush onto M1 at J8 and latch onto the back of the convoy, no probs. Should be funny. (maybe better to get to JAE asap before midday etc, GMTV says busy roads weekend ahead?)

Or if you're making a fleeting visit to hemel for 1/2 hour then fine also.

I'll be hovering around that map square or nearby (dont live far from it anyways) 11am onwards.

  2. Foun this in microsoft website, after search "DVD"

I have recently installed games involving directx graphics support, this is around the same time the system failed. I'll let you know how it gets on.

  3. aido, better modify your post now...I have! :o

If i bought 15 of them, plus the amount of baby gear we have to bring in the car for one nights camping (ask the girlfriend).

I would have to buy on of those V*lvo V70 T5's and join that nobby volvo owner club who were parked across from us in the Top Gear car park.

(feeling a little silly at my freudian slip).

  4. right, ive reinstalled windows media player from microsoft website as it wasnt opening from the icon on desktop...

Now windows media player is working, I have placed many different dvd's in the drive (E drive).

It says for all, "no disc in drive (E)"

    ?////////????????////????????////////?????????/

  5. my computer refuses to acknowledge any dvd's in the dvd drive now..

I put a dvd in the dvd drive and the light will turn on as the drive engages, but the movie will not start on screen. Then after reading the dvd disc, the drive goes dormant.

I have WinDVd installed also windows media player. Both of these were on the Hewlett packard pavillion running Windows XP home edition, pentium 2.4, at first time of ownership, both win dvd and windows media player have played movies individually and were not overriding each other..

The comp states the drive is operating normally.

On right clicking on the dvd drive, it states there is no "target" field, does something need to be in here?

Dont know the manufacturer of the drive, came as OEM with the HP Pavilion when bought it..

The drive comes up on pc as HL-DT-ST dvd-rom GDR8161B

Any ideas please? this will be appreciated thanks.

  6. Litten Tree is closest to J8 M1 (hemel) as you exit. Off motorway, up to first roundabout (straight over), past "Breakspear House" BP petrol station ...and Holiday inn........ on dual carraigeway, keep going straight............. to next roundabout. at this roundabout turn left onto Leverstock Green road, over a brow in the hill and down again,

then turn left into GREEN LANE, (Pass another BP garage on left, gone too far.)

pub is on this road. "litten tree"

    Hopefully this link below works

    1. off J8 M1 onto dual carraigeway (straight line drive)

    map1

    2. Once on Leverstock Green road afterning left off dual carraigeway (2nd roundabout) showing the left turn into Green lane.
