  1. Great job and done very well. I've always been attracted to shiny sparkly things and would certainly have this in my RX, but my 65 year old eyes may be overwhelmed and make it a non-runner. I'm already noticing that my eyes don't recover as quickly as they used to after passing other traffic during darkness.
  2. Hmm.....not so sure about that. Dashcams are a great idea and I have a front/rear system (Viofo A129 Duo) in my RX, but I wouldn't want it built in at the factory because as sure as eggs is eggs, you can bet the replacement cost would be ridiculously and eye-wateringly high if they needed to be replaced. My Viofo system cost just over £150 and works superbly well. If I ever needed (or even just wanted) to replace them it won't break the bank and I would have a wide and varied choice to choose from if I didn't want another Viofo.
  3. Michelin Cross Climate or my own personal favourite, Goodyear Vector 4Seasons. The main problem is getting anything in the 20" size!
  4. Try to find a post by 'Hylands' who installed a Tesla-style unit in his. Seem to remember that it looked and performed brilliantly.
  5. Just sent you a PM Gary, which will hopefully help. I'm not a big believer in coincidences like this so I'd initially say that something has been disturbed/knocked/disconnected and not reconnected etc., but also read the OBD codes to see if anything has been flagged up.
  6. Did they give you the OBD codes that have been flagged up? In my experience (and a lot of others both here and in the american forums) when the dashboard lights up like a Christmas tree then it's usually a sign of the 12V battery dying. First thing I would do would be to go to a bettery place and ask them to do a load test on it, and then if necessary, get the OBD codes and tell us what they are.
  7. This^^^^^^^^^^^^ Climate Control does everything for you automatically to keep the cabin at the set temperature, which includes turning the AC on/off. Just set the temp you want and let the system do its job.
  8. Plenty here on eBay You can buy a fully assembled unit or just the sensor itself (just scroll down the page) or just the mechanical linkage if you know which part has gone faulty.
  9. As far as I'm aware it's a sealed unit and will need to be replaced as such.
  10. Absolutely worth it. As long as the battery passes the health check each year, it's covered by warranty for up to 15 years old. The Hybrid Health Check is free as part of a service or you can have just the HHC as a stand-alone for about £60.
  11. Never used anything other than bog-standard supermarket unleaded, or E10 as it's now known, in any car that I've owned and never had any problems whatsoever. If people are that bothered about keeping their engines/injectors clean they should convert to LPG as that's the cleanest fuel you'll get. If you have a super-duper engine then yes, super-duper petrol makes sense. If, however, you have a standard engine that isn't tuned to use the super-duper petrol, then it's just a waste of money.
  12. Disconnect the 12V battery (purely because I don't know what that yellow wire does), put some heat-shrink sleeving on one side and then either crimp or solder the wires together, finishing off by pulling the heat-shrink over the joint and shrinking it down. All high voltage cables/harnesses are clad in orange so I doubt very much that you need to take any special precautions for this job. EDIT: Forgot to mention that it's good practice to check the engine oil level every week; something which may have helped to sort this out sooner. Just sayin' like
  13. Ok, what about this selection? Sometimes just being a bit creative with the wording helps. https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=remove+tailgate+trim+lexus+ct200h
  14. Should find something useful here: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=fitting+reversing+camera+to+lexus+ct200h
  15. Because I have a back injury (severe enough to get me medically retired from my job) I purposely stayed away from F-Sport models because of the sportier seats. I'm on my 3rd RX now and never felt anything like that and I'm about 18 stone.
  16. Yes, it's a genuine group and I'm a member but sadly not an admin, or I'd add you myself. All I can suggest is to either be patient (not sure how many admins there are) or just keep trying.
  17. I don't think that's available on this model year but if it is, it could be something that you need Techstream (or a dealer) to do.
  18. No it can't.
  19. They told me the same but when I complained and asked why my car here in the Northern Wastelands of Lancashire is considered any less important than those in the south, and why we always seem to lose out in the great north/south divide, a couple of days later I got a call from Lexus Preston to have the job done. It was done last week and took a couple of hours.
  20. No issue "with the amps" at all. However, there could be an issue with physical size and terminal post orientation so check those carefully.
  21. It'll work anywhere but with A roads you have to be careful on bends because there'll be a point where the car in front moves out of the radar as it goes around the bend. Your car, however, will see that the obstruction has disappeared and the radar reads it as a clear road and can speed up.
  22. Just to add to what Charles said above, it's my impression that radar cruise works more on distance than speed, or perhaps they're equally important. Say you're going through a stretch of roadworks with a 50mph limit on the motorway. You enter the roadworks, set the speed at 50mph and away you go. If the vehicle in front of you is only doing 40mph you'll soon catch it up, but radar cruise will slow your car down to maintain a certain distance between you and the one in front. If the car in front speeds up, so will yours. Or if you pull out from behind the one doing 40, your car will then speed up to whatever you've set, ie, 50 in our example.
