  1. Hi all, Car has hit 100k miles and I'm going to do a service along with changing the coolant and brake fluids. From what I understand I have to activate the ABS pump using techstream to change the brake fluid. Has anyone done this, if so is it an easy task? Also is there any other fluids/parts I should look at changing at this mileage? Cheers.
  2. On the flip side has anyone noticed what I can only describe as a "notchy" steering feeling when travelling at relatively low speeds and making slight adjustments to the steering position. If I turn the steering to go around a bend for example it is fine. Slightly odd sensation I must say.
  3. Hi all, I have an annoying rattle/knocking noise when steering to the right on the drivers side (at full lock) Just to add that it primarily happens if the ground surface is not smooth. I changed my front discs and pads earlier today and had previously hoped that it was just the pads rattling but it's obviously not Any ideas? The suspension and bushings were all checked when doing the brakes so no obvious issues there. The noise is not an issue at any other time, just when turning sharp to the right.
  4. Try bob Sweeney in limericks, they are breaking an IS300H.
  5. I'm hoping this will also cure the rattle I'm getting on rough surfaces (tapping the brakes cures this) does anyone know if there are clips that come with the pads?
  6. Thanks Colin, I'll make sure to put these items on the list. On another note my discs and pad need doing on the front, having reviewed the service history I saw no mention of brakes being done so far. So first pad change at 94k miles, that's some going. Picked up the full front set (pads and discs) from lexus Birmingham for 170 pound. Rears seem fine so will wait another while.
  7. Hi all, My IS300H is due it's 100k service later this year and I am wondering there is a definitive list which covers the checks and fluids etc that should be completed? I downloaded the lexus list but there are a lot of "model dependant" items on it which has confused me somewhat. Just wondering there is anything major I need to keep in mind? Needless to say I'm not going to Lexus for the service. Cheers.
  8. As are mine but my experience is far worse than yours.
  9. Thanks, now that you say it i only noticed it in the colder mornings in the last few weeks. Cheers for the info.
  10. Thats a bit more reassuring as thats what it feels like for me also (well perhaps not a brick but some level of force against the wheel with a slight shudder through the car) did you manage to resolve the issue?
  11. Thanks for the info everyone and apologies for the delayed response. It seems to only occur when turning to the right, when turning left on full lock it doesnt "skip" as much or at all really. I will have to get it checked out further as i think it is more than what others have described above. I can actually feel the car jerk when it happens. If this is normal ill be annoyed at Lexus.
  12. Yes, first thing i checked, 36psi all around
  13. I have only noticed it on one side as i turn that direction coming out of the drive but will check both ways tomorrow. No other change that i am aware of but have seen people mention bushings and tiecrods online, neither of which appeared to display any obvious wear when on the lift. Its a strange one.
  14. Standard 17 inch alloys, not sure on tyre width but can check tomorrow.
