I'd love to fit a module to auto-fold the mirrors but although they are advertised they always state 'left hand drive only'. I feel tempted to try anyway but blowing the electrics would be a high price to pay!

You can't have Tea, there's a shortage! ........More Coffee Vicar? And cake is off the menu due to your arteries!

Can I just state that I didn't mention Winston Churchill. From the biographies I have read I would say that he was the right man for the job at the time. He appeared to have many personality deficiencies in lots of areas but supposing that no one is perfect we have to accept them and move on!

Silly things about my UX
Lmafudd replied to Bill Dawes's topic in Lexus UX250h / UX300h / UX300e Club
When I had an NX I certainly noticed a sound difference when the shelf was out but usually that meant the back was down too. Even with the seats down the noise levels are not that different in my UX but the UX is much noisier to start with! Of course the seats are down much more often in the UX for obvious reasons. -

Tat? I think it's a very clever design. Seems well constructed, weighs almost nothing, easy to hide away and looks good. Only my opinion of course! -
Isn't it the exception that proves the rule?

Could you name names please? I'm struggling to identify any politician with integrity of any party that fits your description! There may be one who's close but he attended illegal parties but failed to resign so it can't be him!

Having maligned my local area (Leicestershire) by claiming that we have the worst roads in the Midlands I find that I now have to backtrack. On Friday I visited Burton-upon-Trent. Turns out that Staffordshire produces great beer but has extremely poor roads. Today I have visited North Nottingham. To say the roads are bad is like saying that Adolf Hitler was a bit of a rascal! The roads have holes so deep and wide that damage is almost a certainty. What the hell is going on? We pay a huge amount of road tax for various governments and councils to squander. They should stop the HS2 type vanity projects and get our roads up to spec. And soon! Roll-on the election where I can write "None of the above" on my paper!

I seem to think that if you flick to Off then back to Auto then you get one wipe anyway. I may have to check when I get in the car! -
UX Trade in against a new LBX

Absolutely absurd. Save your money and enjoy the car. Warranty should fix your issues if they are faults. The dealer will make at least 10k on re-selling it to another sucker! -

And if the LBX doesn't meet your aspirations then you could be down another 15k - or worse. Wouldn't that be a bummer! -

It will stay this way until we, the punters, say no. If we stop accepting their crap offers and refuse the deal things would change in a heartbeat. Sadly like everything else in the UK we just roll-over and let things slide. -

I recall the conversation and whilst I don't want to drag-up the issue I just want to agree with your comment and reiterate that sometimes saying nothing is the best thing to do. I follow a site on FB for people that have old houses and the amount of facetious and pointless responses sometimes drowns-out the genuine helpers. I don't have an old house but I am a competent DIY'er and will only contribute practical advise when on solid ground. I certainly don't offer a negative dislike to some of the many decorating/tiling images - what good would that do? -
That's an image from the web but same as mine. My photo caught a transition as the AA kicked in! This is why I'm not a professional photographer!

They do have great coffee I must say. To be honest (and in a non sexist tone) the reception staff used to be very 'photogenic' in light blue blouses and what I can only describe as 'Jodhpurs' but like most places the uniform standard has disappeared and it's more of a 'come-as-you-are' event! -
Hi folks. I'm struggling to identify my Infotainment system type. It doesn't look like any on the Registering screen. To be frank I thought I'd already registered it but clearly not! My car appears to be a bit of a 'mix'. I think it sat in a carpark somewhere for a while before it was registered as new in June 22. Thanks everyone.

I put the manual in the boot cubby near the right light cluster, fits perfectly with the locking wheel nuts. This gives the tiny glovebox a chance to be useful. I made a ledge for the centre armrest store and put the wireless dongle for the phone in there. I have no issues with the floppy rear cover. My 2022 registered UX only has one pocket. That is on the back of the passenger seat. Maybe they think that someone messing about behind the driver is a distraction! -

I suspect at least 8 to 10k less than you paid! -
That's where we started Don, went off on a tangent and now feel that Big Brother is breathing down my neck. I was very wary driving my boring UX on the boring school run today as those spy satellites are everywhere.

I wish I had a cobbled driveway, this tarmac keeps turning green at this time of year. Could I ask that you don't call me Charlie please? My mother is spinning in her grave. Ironically my daughter has called my grandson Charlie, much to my chagrin.

I have these in my UX. They work okay but getting files off is fiddly and definition isn't the best. The rear camera is slap bang in the middle of the rear view mirror and has a dark line where the screen heater wire bisects. Ask them to off-set the rear cam slightly, I wish I had. Good enough to show who's in the wrong when the almost inevitable occurs.

Does GMB stand for 'Grey Metal Box' then? Also, unless you have a particularly rare model, I don't think identifying the type of car one drives really gives much away. Up to you of course as it's a free country, allegedly!

I don't find the UX boring, nor particularly slow. Certainly aren't cheap when compared to similar sized vehicles of the same year. I suppose it's down to personal opinions. There is certainly a good deal of anti UX feeling on this site. I can't wait until the LBX is out there so we can see what the Naysayers can dredge up over that one! I never hear the comment that the NX is actually a RAV4!
