£40? Lexus quoted me 1-off sensor for £90+labour&coding! May be GS 2013 sensors are much more expensive?! The cheapest I saw was about £60 online, the problem also to find the exact one to suit your car. I am dropping off my car off at Lexus Glasgow on Friday so they can check were the fault is and theoretically the garage I bought it from will pay but until its paid by them I have no much hope yet. Good luck with your repair. Also see thread below that shows how to change the battery in the sensor.

I visited my parents last week (Eastern Europe) and popped in to Toyota/Lexus dealership, I had a chance to sit in both, Camry and ES. You can see and feel that the ES is more expensive inside, better materials are used, even though the cars were similarly equipped the ES cost was about 12k euros more! Ukrainian (Camry is very popular in Ex-soviet rep's) car magazine had a test comparing Camry, Kia Optima, Ford Mondeo and Mazda 6 and Camry took 1st place with Kia to follow, Mazda and Mondeo. I am translating here - "The Camry is still very smooth and comfortable to drive, quite, spacious inside, well specced and this time is very good to drive. The bad points are: old graphics of the displays, small boot and no seats cooling. So I think you are right, may be there won't be a point to pay extra 11k for ES if Camry that good!

I have Windows 10 Home with 64-bit, the link NemesisUK provided supports only 32-bit. So, I need to download the software 1st and then buy a OBD cable or can it be done as one, I mean can I buy an ODB cable that has the latest software on a cd that is suitable for Windows 10 with 64-bit? Thanks everyone.

John/Steve many thanks! This is great! I will get mine activated once I am back from holidays. Thanks

Hi John, thank you for the link. How can I find if Lexus Glasgow does recognise (or not) LOC discount? Is there a list of dealers or the best way is to call the dealer and find out? Thank you John. Vlady
-
Hi, can do I get LOC discount if I may ask? I don't need it now but good to know and possibly to have it. Thanks Sorry Lee putting this in your thread as LOC discount was mentioned here a few times I thought it is ok to ask a question. Cheers Vlady

I hope the paint will stay that way, I am very worried as I have re-painted full front (2 wings, bonnet and the bumper) on my previous car and in less than 2 years the paint started flacking and not just on the wings arches but on a bumper too, not sure why it happened, the bonnet though held well, The garage I used also does jobs for the trade (Lexus garage one of their clients) for minor stuff so I was not happy to find that out as you buy a Lexus from Lexus garage and it could have a bad paint repair that will show in not long feature! I hate rust that much that I sold my previous car even though it was perfect otherwise!
-
You had three more panels to paint (well roof as well), why didn't you? It would be probably another £50-80 for you but you would end up with fully painted car.

This is one beautiful coupe! Very different to all German competitors!
-
Well done, the car looks great! I am very surprised to see locating holes for the badges, isn't it just another location to rust, yours looks pretty clean though.

Why push the button if it can be done automatically? 🙂

I was looking into this as well, as you said, my previous car had it - as soon as you do above like 5-7mph the doors will look, the GS doesn't have it and when I looked into options I do not have Auto-locking, all I have is just Auto-unlocking! May be I need to look at it once more! Hmmm!

Self Closing Windows
Vlady replied to Heanorboy's topic in Lexus NX300h / NX200t / NX350h / NX450h+ Club
Hi Tony, I was surprised not to find this option on my GS (open windows using the key fob) but looking into your thread I will be calling Lexus and see what they can do! I find this option is very useful and as you all my previous cars had it! I have a few questions to ask Lexus, issue with TPMS and if I can updated my Sat Nav maps plus the windows, the list is growing! 🙂 -
When I bought the car I asked the garage to put 2 new tires on rear, so they did and put on Avon zz5, it's good to hear they can do up to 30k miles! All season tires are getting more and more popular and better and better but I would feel sorry for them with the weather as of right now in UK! I had 2 sets of wheels for my old BMW (still have one) and not sure yet what to do for Lexus - go for "all season" or buy another set of wheels. Dilemma! With "all season" tires when it was warm I always struggled for grip and had more playful rear end, when I put back on summer tires I was much surprised of the difference but this is expected anyway and I am sure you know that. Keep us updated Norman.

James this one is very well speeced car, did you buy it new and spec it yourself or a previous owner did? Does it come with BOSE sound system? I am asking as my Lexus is the 1st car that has decent sound system (Mark&Levinson), jhow would you compare it to BOSE, are they any good? Did you say 2.5l engine you have? Cheers!
-
Really? Mazda can be compared to Lexus? No offence James (honestly), I always liked Mazda6, the design of it and I have heard it is a good car to drive and I always liked one, even thought I will be considering one when the time comes to change my car (BMW). When I test drove a GS, the same garage had a 2016 Mazda 6, 2.2td with Auto gearbox, beautiful car and everything to my taste, colour, wheels, interior colour, but, when I sat in it after the Lexus (even after BMW) I could not find a single bit of interior that matches Lexus or BMW for quality, it is well screwed together but cheap to touch imo, I sat in the car for 20 seconds and got out disappointed and just admired the car from outside. :)

Hi NemesisUk, I will have a look into this one, many thanks! Is it not over the top to pay £80 per sensor!?
