  1. Hi Martin, it's hard to say, I have not driven all of the current Lexuses so not sure, I would love to try GS-F and RX-450h if I could afford one. What about you?
  2. Hi Christopher, I did not notice anything strange with the site, worked fine and updated as it should. Vlady
  3. Is it 2 minute job at Lexus or you can do it yourself, without using Techstream? So, to have a 2nd set of wheels you need either take it to Lexus or have a Techstream to program it, and do it every time you swap the wheels? Rubbish! BTW I have nothing against black alloys as a winter wheels, it's mostly dark/dirty outside anyway so they have to be washed less often!
  4. I would buy these (Michelin) now but I have 4 new tires (summer) installed by the garage I bought the car from so no point to do it now, I know i am risking here but I hope this winter will be mild.
  5. Transformed the ride and handling in a good way? What I heard/read so far there is no weakness in these tires!
  6. It is a pain if you need to register each set of wheels (summer or winter) every time you change them, I always had 2 sets of wheels with my previous cars but with Lexus I might go Michelin Cross Climate route so I can avoid re-registering the wheels!
  7. Beautiful inside and outside! Really nice car!
  8. So who was faster, an M3 or Lexus around the track?! Also is it true what Clarkson says about the Lexus gearbox and harsh ride?
  9. Luigi add couple more photos, your interior sounds expensive, we want to see it! 🙂 Cheers!
  10. Congratulations! This would be one of the cars to consider when I decide to change my GS! How different is it to GS apart from being higher? :)
  11. Hi Bob, it was discuss a little in this thread. Personally I use it very rarely but do not think it is bad for engine and the fuel system. Also Depends on the mileage you do, for me the use of Redex may be once/twice a year is enough and I do about 8k miles, I also use mostly SHELL gas stations. Cheers Vlady
  12. Yes, the car was sold with 1 year warranty. Why? I can claim it?
  13. She is lovely! Love the colour! As John says what was before and why Lexus this time? Welcome to LOC btw!
  14. Thanks for coming back! Seat Base - there you go, didn't know how to call it! Yes, it feels like the seats has massage option (they don't) and instead of being flat the massager stopped somewhere at the front right under my thighs when is my bum seats a bit lower and softer. Regards backrest, hmm, not noticed that but I will keep my eye on it next time I am driving it, especially I like my bolster support being on maximum!
  15. @Shahpor how is your driving seat lower part/bum part (not sure how you call it), the one you sit on? Is it totally flat under your bum? My seat feels like it has a little roller there that is stacked to the front of the seat and softer closer to the back of the seat, sometimes I do think it is a defect! It feels like somebody stood on it and broke it! I have sat in new F-sport GS and that seat was totally flat! Cheers
  16. lol! :) It took me some time to realised what you mean John! It does sound like it, ups! Correction: My GS is very quite inside and does not have any creaks or rattles, probably being 35k miles helps so far.
  17. I see one almost everyday driving to work, in Coatbridge, Scotland! How did you manage to take a picture that high? Sunroof?!
  18. 34mpg still not bad for a 3.5ltr petrol v6! @Shahpor what tyres are on your car, maker?
  19. Shahpor what mpg are you getting so far? I get 36-38mpg but I tend do not drive fast, well, sometimes I like a quick get away! 🙂
  20. Adam welcome to LOC! I am like you have had an e60 525d, 2009 and had the same thoughts like you - the car is getting to that age when it will be asking for lots of money! Saying that the e60 I had was one of the most reliable cars I had (3.5years)! Loved the handling and that 6-cylinders engine was very good! My 1st impressions on Lexus were that it is much much comfier, steering wheel is much lighter, no diesel vibrations and in general the car was quitter and that Mark Levinson stereo is so much much better than standard BMW audio, I love it! On top of that my Lexus has double xenon lights, rear blinds and cooled seats! I still love the shape of e60 but Lexus GS so much grown on me as well, I do find Lexus a very good looking car! So try it, I am pretty sure you won't regret it! Keep us updated Adam, good luck!
  21. @st4 that's an impressive mpg, I honestly thought it would be more thirsty, much more!
  22. Didn't happen to me but to my colleague who is driving an 18-plate Mercedes C-class, he wanted to buy a Lexus IS (before he got offered a good deal on C-class) and when he asked Lexus for a discount or a better offer, all the salesman said "Sorry mate, this is not what we are here for, if we were a VW or any other car brand it would be possible", that tells me they are not after sales and the right person will walk in and buy the car!
  23. I couldn't agree more, love the shape. Some people hate it but I think it is still look modern! It's defo grows on you and I loved that color, pleasure to work on, I mean waxing etc!
