Just picked the car from Lexus Glasgow - Hybrid Health Check passed! All green colours! Set for a year!

Because I am an idiot!? :) Richard, I didn't know I can do it online and when I found out that I can, it was too late as the docs have been sent by that time and i have no information from that that I can use online now. I will be calling them tomorrow again!

Still nothing from DVLA! I phoned them yesterday, they couldn't even confirmed if they recieved the documents! Now I am wondering if sent docs went through, it should be as it was a 1st class signed for letter!

I found that through Disp button on the steering wheel you can set a tachometer to be on all the time! So, now I am driving with taho instead of the Energy dial, this is not much but makes you think you are in another car as dashboard screen looks different now! :)

It has been a week since (next day delivery, signed for letter) DVLA got my documents (V5c and V750) and I heard nothing from them! Does it usually take so long? 😞

I just have noticed that I created this thread in wrong topic that belong to Lexus LS, I think this thread should be in general discussion or something. Can I\admin change that please.

James would be helpful to see photos before and after. 😉 What did you use to polish the lights? Was it hard, any tips? Not that I need it but someone might, I have seen a few cars with yellow headlights, not even sure how some of them pass MOT test. Cheers Vlad

Had an oil service done today, also brake fluid was changed! So far everything cost me £173 and this is oil and oil filter, air and pollen filter with brake fluid! Couldn't be happier!

Washed my car (GS), my wifes car and my motorbike! knackered! I got my GS booked tomorrow for an oil change, brake fluid and coolant, my friend will do it for me. To save his time, I changed today air filter and pollen filter!

Everyone now is showing off! I like it though. Paul, even dirty this car looks sexy! Love it! Almost forgot, Paul, you had your number for 20 years, I have seen something on DVLA that every 10 years you need to do something, either confirm to them that you are still an owner or something between the lines, do you want what that is? Hi Richard, no I didn't tell the number plate yet, I went more conservative and personal than your suggestion though - V15 DMR i.e VLADIMIR, unfortunately V14 DMR was taken already. I will put up some pics when I get docs from DVLA.

I got my number plates today, fantastic service from ebay, I just ordered these plates yesterday early morning and got them today! Uau! Went for aluminium pressed once, well, once I get updated V5C I will put them on and will add some photos! Common DVLA, make it tomorrow! 🙂

I was wondering how black color will look with smoked wheels color and I like it, I was thinking to refurb at some point my alloy wheels and may be change the color from standard silver to similar to yours. What did I do today to my Lexus? Well, about 6.45 in the morning I was washing my Lexus, it was so much bird poo on a roof and windscreen that I was afraid I will scratch the paint if I try to remove it, so I sprayed bird lime neutraliser 1st for a few minutes and then washed it! Also today I received my V750 from DVLA! I ordered number plates on Thursday evening and got a letter today, not bad DVLA, respect!

Removed seat cushion as it was giving me an electrical shock! Saving money for a new foam base! 🙂

A few days ago I removed my seat cushion and I have much less electrical shocks! The cushion is off from now on and saving money to fix my seat base (the foam is a bit worn under the bum!).

David thank you, don't I need a V5 1st before ordering them? I mean will I not be asked a proof on ownership or something? Also, will DVLA not send me a pair of number plates with the new registration? Sorry for so many questions David.

I just checked my emails on computer (not phone) and I had 2 emails from DVLA confirming creation of MY ACCOUNT and 2nd one confirming that I should receive a V750 Certificate within 2 weeks. I called my insurance a few days ago and they said there is no charge if I get personalized plates so its good! :) Thanks

I booked number plates last night through DVLA and they show up in my account, I still not received any email confirmation though but knowing DVLA I will get them little more time. I was expecting to be asked on what car numbers will go but never had, how do I assign a number plate to a car? Probably I will receive more information from DVLA later explaining everything but I waited so long to make a decision to buy private number plates and I now I can't wait 24 hours or so! 🙂 Do I need to order them now or DVLA will send them to my address? What style they would be? Everything is so unclear! Sorry everyone, just frustrated, a bit! 🙂

I will be getting these from DVLA only and this thread does not discourage me at all! lol! The way I see it, once you get your number plates from DVLA and all the docs you can go online and order any style you like. :) Thanks everyone for your advises.

Is there any rules if garage name or online seller must appear on private number plate? I mean I would like to have just my letters and a number without anything else, well, may be a border.
