  1. GSF...drool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Agree. The natural competition for the F pace, x5/cayenne/Touareg is the rx450h Lovely place to be inside. I had a good nosey when I was buying my GS. I’d love one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Bit smaller and without a particularly powerful drivetrain. Tell you what’s a nice car, the rx450h Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. You’ve not been reading the toxic bile the independent etc has to say. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Because the media is against Brexit and against Britain as a whole. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Trust me my GS would rock with these Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I wonder if these wheels would fit my GS. They’d look great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Another reason to buy it if it’s built here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Is it just me that’s pleased about a standard fit sunroof. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Positive. Character in the sense of Alfa Romeo means breakdowns and warning lights. I like my car to work. Kia Stinger 3.3. That’s a car I’d want and will consider for my next car Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. They’ll have to if re launching the GS base it around a whole new platform or shorten the floor of the LS or LC. Or stretch the IS. All Lexus cars will be transverse mount bar the LS as I bet Toyota won’t engineer another longitudinal platform. Which I think is a shame. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I changed my MB for a Lexus. I don’t regret it. In every single way it’s the better car. Rides better, more fun to drive, more space, better seats, better spec. Just, well, better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Infiniti. Nissan/Renault and Mercedes. Very unreliable. Surprised not many mentions of the Korean makes. I was passed by a Kia Optima this am - nice looking car and masses of warranty. Hyundai and/or Kia. They might not be seen as fancy cars but they’re good and totally classless. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Abroad you can get GS with 4wd and with a wider range of engines namely the 4pot turbo, the 3.5 both with RWD and AWD. The UK just isn’t an important enough market to get these superior GSs. We do get the F but no one buys them - which is a shame. A longitudinal mounted RWD platform is intrinsically superior to a transverse mount FWD one so I do see the point made that hopefully it would have been cheaper than the outgoing GS or loaded up with equipment to make up for the fact it was based around an inferior transverse platform as opposed to a bespoke longitudinal one. That said given its only been offered with a very tepid drivetrain the lack of rear or all drive won’t be an issue. It’s in no ways being marketed or promoted as a drivers car (which a GS kind of is) but hopefully it’ll be reliable (almost a given) quiet and comfortable. For 80% of buyers that may well be enough. I’ll reserve final judgement until I see the car and drive one but think the Camry will do a very similar job for a lot less money and there’s an IS, LS or another GS shaped car in my future. 15. I agree the platform is worse but 1. It will be more spacious than the GS. The S90 is used by chauffeurs and exec hire drivers. This could be too so the recliner seat might not be a bad idea 2. The GS rides well 3. Doubt they’ll cut the sound deadening Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I’m going to go against the grain here and say I’m not a huge fan of leather seats and would be more than happy with non leather. So long as they’re heated and cooled with at least 8 way adjustable and memory is real nice to have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I’m interested in the pure petrol versions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Just a phone snap of my wheels parked up in the Ordesa Valley Monte Perido National park in Spain. Everything that is right in life can be seen in this snap. Great scenery, great weather, good car and camera lurking [emoji6] Needless to say the cars been great on the journey down via the Alps, Dordogne and French Pyrenees over the last week. 19. That sounds like a piece of junk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. That was me trying to keep up in the gs250. A very spirited few moments of 130mph plus fun :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. As I have ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. The LC I don't think is bad value at all - it's more natural competitor is the 6 series, E class coupe, Maserati Gran Cabrio. In many ways it is the true successor to the Mk4 Supra as a truly large sporting coupe. The new supra is not a large car, and neither is an RCF. They are midsized cars. I don't think £70k is a terrible starting point for such a car given it's remit to go head to head with 6 and new 8 series BMWs, Maserati coupes etc. It has the newer 10spd box the RCF doesn't have, a more striking design and probably more luxurious appointments. An RCF's competitor is a C63, M5, RS5 sort of car. This is the class above. I'd love an RCF but I think if I had the money I would buy the LC. It looks terrific.
  23. My commute is from Loch Long to Glencoe. The road is a gentle 40/50mph a lot of the way and the car only sees 60 plus on the clearer sections. It uses barely more fuel than my e350cdi did Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. My average is 39 in it. I use Esso fuel nothing super unless I’m at Tesco and put in the 99 stuff. My car is driven all over Scotland and I tend to obey speed limits. If I lived some place flatter it would do 50mpg and I’d get 600 plus from the tank but normally a full tank is out of ideas by 500 miles Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. They only run a new car. Give them an 80k miles 2 owner Mercedes E class and see how they’ll get on ;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
