  1. Hi, So you can see the issue that's developing in the photo below. It's more obvious taken from above but you can see it still while sitting in the car. Is this common, has anybody had it repaired or is it a matter of finding a new unit? Thanks. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
  2. Hmm I checked the RPM and it is spot on to what you said as the AC kicks in and out. It seems to be settling the more I use it in the heat. Maybe it was just a bit seized? Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
  3. Has anybody had an issue with the AC kicking in really affecting the car? If I'm rolling in traffic and the AC kicks back in the car lurches forward and will creep at twice the usual speed. If I'm sat on the brakes the whole car will shudder as the compressor kicks in. Also when braking to a halt the car will suddenly dive when the AC knocks off as there's less force against the braking. It's really annoying and kind of ruins the otherwise smoothness of the LS. Do you think I need a rebuild of the compressor or a replacement? Could it be anything else? Anybody else had this issue? Thanks! Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
  4. Hi, So the car is going in on the 12th August to be repaired. He's going to save and paint the wing and then repaint all the cladding and lower bumpers to make her look perfect. There's some signs of previous scuff repairs on bumpers and scratching to the cladding. I'll shower her off once it's all done. Thanks again everybody for the advice. The guy I've found seems great and loved the car. Wants to feature it on his website etc. Take it easy gang... Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
  5. Hi! I actually had a guy look at it today who said he could repair it and do a good job of the paint. So just waiting for the quote! The valeter at work recommended him and said he did a cracking job. Fingers crossed!! Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
  6. No my car is mainly in great shape it's just this panel that's making it look really sorry for itself. I don't want to change to another as I've got a good early example and I know all the work that has been done that I won't need to have done on another. It's too good to give up on, so going to try my best to sort it. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
  7. I've contacted dent wizard as there's a technician local to me. Waiting to hear back what they think. I really didn't think it could be saved but if it can that's great! Thanks for your opinions all. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk

  9. Hi, In my first post on here I mentioned somebody hit my car in a car park. For the last month I've been trying to get it sorted out. I tried breakerlink and only had 2 hits on a replacement wing. One turned out to be rotten so I purchased a much more expensive colour matching 2nd choice. Turns out the guy didn't have the part to sell and had Googled the photo. A month later and with involvement from the bank I've got my money back and have reported the fraudulent activity. I've reached out to three breakers on eBay. One has already sold the part and the other 2 have ignored me. Lexus UK can only get service parts nowadays it seems. I really want to get my car fixed as I'm gutted that it looks a mess. I'm not sure it can be beaten out well enough to look right after and rust has set in. I'm working toward getting the car spot on and have even found replacement exhaust tips, new petrol cap (consumable apparently) and cabin filters from the USA recently. Has anybody on here got a driver's side wing or can point me in the right direction? It's a pre facelift which doesn't help. Thanks for reading, would greatly appreciate your help! 10. Just in case anybody is interested. Paint codes for a car like mine are Body 4K7 light reddish brown and Bumper UA52 light greyish brown. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks. I'll get in touch with them! I'm excited to get it back to top condition. I've been wanting to lower it but I think I might just try and find some of the 17" wheels the later ones came with. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
  12. It's a December 1993 so it's the revised model with changes. Car does look good! I've been debating bigger wheels. Are there quite a few LS400 owners on here then? Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
  13. Good advice thanks! Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
  14. Thank you! I will have a word with the guy who's going to do it and see what he can find. I kind of want it to match all the documentation I got for the model year which states 2 tone but mine is pretty much all one colour after various work has been done to it, not so well. 15. Can't decide if I should be going one colour or split! What does yours look like, is it the same colour as mine? Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
  16. Hi All, I've got a 1993 LS400 and after some inconsiderate sod hit it and left the scene needs some restoration work. It's had some iffy touch ups in the past as the old gent who had it before kept catching the corners. I now feel it's time to get the whole car spot on seeing as it's going into the bodyshop for a new wing. My car is Champagne with Westminster interior and I think it's supposed to have the slight two tone to the paint on the lower bumpers and side cladding. Question is, what are the two separate paint codes for this? I see 4K7 in the book but how does the bodyshop ensure they get the right contrasting shade between the two? I'm sure one of you lovely Lexus folk will know! Thanks, Alexander.
