New wheels!

The set I have are called Bola B12. They seem a good wheel and the flat face is really nice. I know what you mean about some of the super crap quality ones there are out there though. I spent ages finding a design I like. Wheelbase are good as the filter by car then by design is handy. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk -

Would you consider aftermarket? Some brands like Bola do some fairly period designs. I put mine on a set of 18s and I think it looks the part. Not everybody likes the aftermarket look though... Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk -

Who's going to rent it out?! For what?! Nice cars but doubt it's really going to cut it as a wedding car etc. I had a situation trying to recover some old BMW's from a garden that had been abandoned once they were an MOT failure. Owner was so reluctant to let them go it took so much persuasion. He was adamant they were great and were really special cars. Once I started digging about they were absolutely destroyed. Probably never going to run again and the guy changed his mind and started asking running example money for them. So I had dug them out and spent hours giving him some free gardening basically to have to walk away. Fast forward they are still there and rotten even more... I'm attached to my car too but I know it's worth it! Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk -
Hi, I took it to Lexus when the ECU went to try and get it checked over. They had a good look at the suspension while it was there and said there's play in the UCAs but the left side was gone and recommended replacing both at the same time. With good parts as hard to find as I've found so far for a MK1 I'd rather buy both now and have them than wait and find there's no stock available later down the line. Rock Auto only have one left of the right side and who knows if they'd ever get another AC Delco one in. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to matching parts you see! I'll start with replacing the left and see how much life there is in the right. Also means at least I can return one if the issue persists after replacing. It might be the bottom joint and Lexus had it wrong... Thanks. [emoji4][emoji1360] Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk

Hi all, So I've been researching this more. I definitely want to start with the upper control arms as these are the only part Lexus has actually said have play in and need replacing. I cannot justify £1200 for originals from eBay. Amayama can't seem to supply both and I don't want different brands on each side. I had a helpful pointer towards rock auto. They stock a few brands and I went straight to the upper end. AC Delco with a Lifetime warranty. Being a GM company I'd expect the parts to be high quality. What do you guys reckon? The part numbers are hard to match up but they are listed for a 1993 LS400 and I doubt there'll be many versions? I have only seen the 1994 on ones are different. Alexander. Hi, So I just banged some Halfords wipers on mine. No spoiler. Clip was easy. They work fine and don't seem to need the spoiler at speed. To be honest I don't tend to use my wipers above 50mph. Don't you find that the rake of the windscreen and the airflow with the wipers tucked under the bonnet means the water just rolls straight up and off? I thought it was by design as there's less distraction of the wipers going back and forth. My friends and family all think it's amazing how the rain just disappears and visibility isn't hindered. And no my windscreen isn't coated! Try it [emoji6]. Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk

Also had to replace mine but at 69k. There was no PAS leak it just gave up. Was going up the M6 in the rain and the wipers were slowing down and the dash lights were all lit up! It got me right outside my sister's house before it conked out. Couldn't really complain. That and the ECU are the only mechanical failure I've had on the car in almost 2 years. Let us know what they say! If you broke it for parts you could make some dough! Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk -

Agreed here. My car was sat for 6 years and it's had zero ill effects. It's in great condition! Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
