    There's some lovely photos there. I stick to mostly wildlife photography. There is one theng I don't like, thats the use of ND filters to "Blurr" water. It's been done to death.

    The Dunlops are definitely quieter, so a good investment. Someone did say to me to inflate them slightly over the recommended pressure as that helps too. (Obviously not too much, before anyone says anything) . Although I would have imagined that would have the opposite effect ?

    That reminds me of when a friend worked at a Volvo main dealer. (When they still had big bumpers).. He told me that there were more British parts on a Volvo, than there were on a Ford Granada.

    Too true. A stamp in a log book tells you nothing.

    How is it fixed to the screen ? Sticky pads can sometimes fail when they get hot. Although a spot of clear mastic would probably work ?

    No problem, it's a very handy thing to be aware of. I wonder, does this work on all makes of car with keyless entry ?

    Can you prove negligence on behalf of the grass cutter ?

    That's very handy to know, I shall have to try it. EDIT I tried this, but it didn't work every time, or don't you have to do it every time ? Another Edit I sussed this out eventually...Press and hold the lock button, and press the unlock button TWICE.

    If your car is serviced by Lexus, the battery will have a 10 year warranty (from new)

    Saying that, the Civic was (and still is in the US) a different type of hybrid. Although any type of rechargeable battery needs to be used fairly regularly. I don't see anything in the Lexus handbook about regular use, then Of course battery technology is constantly moving on.

    I don't know about the Lexus hybrid, but when we had a Civic hybrid, you were advised to drive it for at least 30 minutes every month.

    We will be getting our is300h serviced by Lexus. This was one of the deciding factors in buying the car, as we have a service centre literally a five minute walk away. Assuming nothing expensive needs replacing, what's the average cost of a service ?

    Our 2015 is300h came with a 12 month warranty. I have considered the extended warranty when that expires, but probably won't bother. We already have AA cover anyway. When we bought it the dealer tried to get us to sign up to the service plan, I didn't go for that either. Is that worth having ?. The car has 21,000 on the clock, and I doubt we will do much more than 5,000 miles a year. We also don't use it for short shopping trips..

    When our Civic was damaged in a car park, the door and front wing were damaged. I called out "Dr Bump", I think it may be a franchise ? They will usually do the work at your home or workplace, and charge £150 a panel. He had to take mine away as the door lining needed removing. It was painted and glazed, and they did a beautiful job on it. Back with me in a couple of days.

    Well done, nice job. I don't think I would have removed headlight unit though, but I suppose there's less chance of damaging paintwork. My Nighbour has a couple of Mercedes, the headlights on those seem prone to going cloudy. I've never had it on any car I've owned.

    I've decided to bite the bullet and am getting a set of Dunlop Sports. I just hope I notice the difference, they certainly can't be any noisier than the Yokohamas. It just doesn't seem right that my Ford BMax is quieter than my Lexus.

    I didn't buy the car new, so there are probably a number of extras not fitted, voice recognition for one. Although as you say the wiring will be there.

    Is it possible to reset the Lexus navigation back to factory defaults ? I try to delete data, but it still come up afterwards.

    Just to add. I have tried the built in satnav again, but it's still a complete mystery to me. So over complicated, with multiple menus for every command...I just don't have the patience to try and master it.

    Ours has 53 mpg on the display, that's on various types of roads and speeds. I'm happy with that.

    There's loads of tread on them, the car only has 21,000 on the clock, so I expect they are still the original tyres. Are Yokohama what they usually supply as standard ?
