  1. Ctek is suitable for all car batteries, it's just that the reconditioning feature is only of use on wet cell batteries. I have a CTek comfort lead in the boot for quick connect it is also useful for checking battery voltage across the pins with a multimeter instead of pulling the trim out to get to the battery terminals
  2. I bought the same one a couple of years ago great bit of kit. I have started about 8 cars with it but never one of my own lol! Still it is nice finding the occasional bottle of wine in the porch from thankful neighbours. I use it to power the tyre inflator or the dash cam if I am going to leave the car parked up for an extended period and want the cam left on. The lamps and phone charger are nice touches too and stored alongside a Ctek smart charger seems to cover most of my needs.
  3. Even though mine is well valued, so are the later stock items, it would still mean me parting with around £10/£12k for a 3-4 year newer model with similar mileage on the clock Not many changes post 2014 that would entice me to part with the funds required, plus pre 2017 will always remain road tax free. Looking at our current usage, if that remained the same it would still read less than 70,000 mls in another 10yrs time 😀 I think now they are discontinued and never sold in huge numbers I may just make it a showroom condition project and keep it. 😉
  4. I am getting a fair amount of contact by Lexus sales asking if I am in the market to upgrade to a later model as trade in's are at an all time high at present. Problem is, most of the newer ones have higher mileage than my 43k 2014 model, FSH. and kept in VG condition that I don't see much of an upside in doing a deal. Interesting to see that a Lexus approved 4 year old CT is now priced at over £6k mor than when I bought mine in 2018. In fact even a similar 2014 spec is now fetching over £2500 more than my 2014 cost 4 years ago when purchased in 2018. Must admit it does give me that warm fuzzy feeling knowing that I have a car that hasn't dropped like a stone value wise, compared to many others I have owned 😉
  5. On a more positive note, thieves have now found it easier to target Electric Car charging cables 😄 Coupled with the fact makers are now using less of the expensive materials in cats and making them easier to identify perhaps we will see some lessening in cat thefts.
  6. The SPORT (not the F Sport) came with what looks like a Black panoramic roof incorporating a sun roof. and, Black wing mirrors, Black wheels and Black front grille surround. It had the standard grille pattern though not the nicer F type one. Of course it looks like a glass roof from the outside but having not been inside one it could be high gloss black paint giving the appearance of being Glass. Still looks the dogs though, 😘 One here on Autotrader 2016 Multicolour Lexus CT 200h 1.8 Sport CVT Euro 6 (s/s) 5dr for sale for £14,249 in WESTMINSTER, BOROUGH OF WESTMINSTER (autotrader.co.uk)
  7. The annoying continues Buzzer is purely to inform the driver that reverse gear is selected. It is only heard inside the car and not outside, so doesn't act as a pedestrian warning. Some owners have said a quick detour to Lexus and they can silence it for you so it just gives one beep on first selection.
  8. Mine will be 8 years old in March and still going strong
  9. !4th December now gone up to £12,240. There is good demand apparently, so would probably private sale on auto trader much higher.
  10. Just take it into Lexus their, catloc is the best around, comes with window sticker and the cat is marked and registered for identification. The Identification doesn't make it less likely to get stolen but it does show it was illegally obtained should the receivers get pulled 😃 I have not yet heard of a cat being stolen from a CT with Lexus catloc fitted.
  11. My latest offer 2014 with 42k full history now up to £12,000 😊
  12. Similar year 2014, mileage, and condition cars like ours on Autotrader, are now asking around £2k more than we paid for our Lexus approved, over 41/2 years ago. 😃 I usually lose a wedge on most cars, perhaps they will become as collectable as Rolex watches over time 🤣
  13. Happy with mine last March I signed another fixed price contract for 3 years. This includes 2 x Major Services and 1 x Intermediate service for the fixed price of £1155. I pay direct debit interest free monthly payments of 33x£35 Suits me like that, no tax on my year. insurance is cheap as is fuel. Never had a car fault but it is covered on warranty, I feel the service payment means I need not worry about finding any large sums of cash in a hurry, just go with the flow 😊
  14. It's been a couple of years but Lexus B'ham charged me around £95 fitted, Toyota branded AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) the dogs Bo**ocks, 😄 Less than half the price of any DIY online battery on offer at the time. They also removed a nail and did a free tyre repair while there, earned my loyalty for the time being.
  15. Thanks John, Good to know, we are paid up until late April 2023 we renewed just before the free Relax came out. The car will be 9 years old when this one expires so I will look at options on offer then. Not sure if we have been lucky that the car has been completely bullet proof since I bought it in 2018 Or unlucky that I have paid 4 years warranty = £1000 and never used it 😉
  16. I am confused by this statement John and unable to find any information on my current paid for warranty or the new free Relax warranty, that indicates any extension beyond a 10yr renewal. Except of course for the extended 15 year Hybrid battery.
  17. Mine went from £10,300 3 weeks ago, to £11,500 last week. I am not considering selling though as they are a discontinued model and the car is just too good to part with. Nice to know it has only devalued some £2,800 in the 3 1/2 years we have owned it. We contemplated upgrading to the run out model but after seeing it would need an additional £20k ish investment with very few updates apart from the age factor we decided against it.
  18. Bargain @ £190, to fit and paint should be reasonable I would have thought. LEXUS CT200H FROM 2011 TO 13 GENUINE REAR BUMPER (5740) | eBay
  19. I have had V12 Etype, Daimler V12 Double Six, V8 Mercs etc etc all thirsty animals but the price we pay for the experience. Sadly an adventure future motorists will never undertake.
  20. Wait------------ 18 Gallons 🤣😂
  21. Even the V8 Merc 500sl will do around 350mls on a tank 😉
  22. I suppose to a large extent it depends on driving condition but my full 10 gallon tank will always return a long average trip record of around 550-600mls @ 55/60mpg winter/summer. It should easily do 300 miles on a 3/4 tank.
  23. Ours has been ultra reliable over the years we have owned it, no faults whatsoever, just service items. Suspension tends to be on the firm side and the CVT is not a boy racer tool but apart from that hard to fault. I think the facelift grill adds a bit to the looks and probably adding a Lexus catlock might be wise.
  24. To be fair I don't think many owners get the initial price quoted when they arrive to do the deal at the WBAC location, it usually gets Knocked down for various faults.
