  1. I'm not surprised. Now these RCF's are down to mid 30's they're great value.
  2. That's a lovely looking car. But I'd change the red mudflaps.
  3. Those exhaust tips look huge.
  4. I went with Aviva, the online quote was £933 I called them as my existing policy was about to renew, and it changed to £473 No explanation as to why the difference. @tomRCFcarbon Why the wait until 17th May for the car? It can sometimes mean the car's in the bodyshop.
  5. This brings us to a debate that's going on in the trade right now. If you buy a car from a dealer that turns out to have a past history that they didn't declare, or know about, are you entitled to return it? Or claim compensation if you've had it a while. It covers dealers selling ex hire cars to the public and not declaring it. The main problem has been bought to light because the dealers advertise these cars as one owner where in real life the car's had different drivers. I'm not sure how the debate is going, or what trading standards view is on it. It also covers any info about a car that a dealer doesn't declare at the point of sale, the sort of info that may have affected your decision whether or not you'd have bought the car. Ie it being an Avis or Hertz rental car for an example. Or maybe a former press car? Anyone in the know?
  6. A lexus for sale on an Audi forecourt, could be a good deal available for you there. Some of the best retail buys I've had have been non franchise cars on main dealer forecourts. They often try them for a few weeks before trading them out so don't be scared to make them an offer, they may just accept anything over the trade value they're likely to get.
  7. Talking of crashing cars through Halfords front windows, has anyone in the UK imported a body kit for the RC-F? @Big Rat any pics you've seen?
  8. I so wanted to love the GT86 when it was released, I've had three AE86's in the past. Fun in the right conditions of course, they'll teach you how to hang the tail out even at a slow speed on a wet roundabout. But ultimately it really was too slow, they really should have given it a bit more power.l
  9. I was holding out for the new Supra but the lack of info from the dealership really annoyed me. And I learnt that the hot version would come out later so I'd have had a much longer wait. The RC-F just happened to grab my attention when I went to look at a Mustang, and I love rare cars. I might not replace the RC when it goes, I may just stick to my modern classic.
  10. Haha, that Merc could be green with pink spots and still look good.
  11. I know it's personal taste but I don't like any large cars in silver.
  12. I'd go anywhere in the UK for the right car, it's only a day at the most in travel and the cost of a train ticket/flight. I'm sure the Audi garage would come and collect you from the airport/station. The furthest I've traveled is Cambs to Aberdeen.
  13. Two years is a long time for a dealer to keep a car in stock, do you know what sort of price they were advertising it for? Are the carbon editions harder to sell?
  14. For anyone still on the lookout there's another one going through Bca Blackbushe on Tuesday. Carbon edition in white, done 9,000 miles. YE65 ZGL Tim
  15. A little two page review on their long term car that's going back. GY17 OBF in case it comes up for sale.
  16. If it smells of smoke find another one. The dealer would have tried to mask the smell with product, it'll come back. Trust me, I've been valeting cars for almost thirty years.
  17. Yes, it's DG15 WRO Maybe you could go and have a peek if bluethunder is interested. It's being entered by a Lexus group dealer so needs inspecting carefully, must be a reason it's not going on their forecourt unless it's overage stock.
  18. @Bluethunder If you're still looking there is a RC-F going through Bca Bridgewater later in the month, 27th April. It's white with red leather, 15 plate, 20,769 miles, had two services. Tim
  19. It seems new regulations are spoiling many cars. I've just sold a TTRS which had lovely pops and bangs from the exhaust, and a nice crackle on hot start up. The new ones being delivered now don't have it.
  20. Ah thankyou, that's great. I've sent you a PM Tim
  21. Oh wow, that'd be impressive. I've always loved rare cars, and ones that are just a bit different.
  22. Thank you for the welcome, only have the one pic at the moment.
  23. Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum, just got an RC-F. I'm interested in getting a QS system, anyone near Cambridgeshire got one so I can have a listen? I'll probably need the one with valves as I've got elderly neighbours. Tim
  24. Sorry, it was me who got the grey one. I went to look at the orange Mustang but the RC-F just kept looking at me. I loved them when they were released, but didn't love the price. I was going to wait for the new Supra to arrive but got bored with the lack of info from Toyota. I'm still trying to work out all the systems, I'll be back with some questions I'm sure. Tim
