  1. The Mrs NX is Mercury grey and I've been treating it as normal without issue so far, got a tonne of correcting done this weekend past, cracking colour when prepped and protected properly! 🙂
  2. Cheers dude, needs some lovin' but happy to take my time with her!
  3. Hey gang, quite a while back I put a post up searching for an LS400, after searching about for many months, not having a budget for a 'great' one, then getting put off by our mutual friend Covid, I had given up. Fast forward to a week ago, the exact LS400 I desired int/ ext colour wise appeared on eBay. Watched it like a hawk, spoke to the seller and asked pricing he was looking for etc (as reserve was not being met), came to an agreement based on viewing the car, which I managed to... today. What a lovely guy, don't believe he's a member but an enthusiast for sure, plenty of GS's in his history. After a general car history chin wag, discussion about the good and bad, safe to say I wanted it! So bought it 😛 Pics below are from eBay, my intention is to SORN over the winter whilst I assess exactly what parts I need and bring her back to former glory with some potential tasteful mods!
  4. I don't think you'll be disappointed by either system and I'm defo not bias... but GTHaus is better 😉 @mr2lad still owes me a meet up to...compare... exhausts 😉 haha
  5. My local unfortunately declined to fit the aftermarket exhaust, but I hadn't planned to use them anyway, but double check first 🙂
  6. I spoke to my local dealer before forking out for the exhaust as i was concerned regarding warranty. They said it would pretty much have no impact on the warranty 🙂 Also looked at some US forums who have run a GTHaus for 20-30k or more miles without any issue to the engine. As far as I know there is no maintenance required. For the first 3 months I had the luxury of quik jacks to get the car off the ground for other purposes but I did just check all the clamps etc for potential leaks, but the garage I used to fit are reputable guys so didn't expect any problems 😄
  7. Helps if you attach the link doesn't it....
  8. Hello fellow exhaust gang 😉 I have GTHaus for my GSF, so can offer some insight on the purchase and product etc. I believe Cezar is not as active online these days (dont blame him). So I have the wireless remote to open and close the exhaust valves - easy peasy. From discussions with Cezar prior to buying mine I think I remember him saying his is wired up to his headlight switch, so I would imagine you could use something else to activate the valves as required. I went for the remote as I just couldn't be bothered to research haha. In terms of ordering, I spoke to GTHaus direct, first off make sure you order during a sale (they have different offers running most of the year), I asked for a shipping quote and explained I was UK LOC member and the system had been recommended by another member (bit of fluff for them) 😉 and wondered if they could offer any further discounts etc. They met me half way with the shipping which I thought was quite nice of them. In terms of noise, if you get mid pipe and back boxes the GTHaus is loud, like LOUD LOUD. Cold start open valves can be heard across the UK if you ask me! The mid pipe removes the 2nd cat, unleashing all the V8 goodness and the back boxes are much less restrictive than stock. I'll post a video below of a mid pipe only GSF with stock back boxes to highlight the gains it gives. The exhaust valves closed, the noise is still very spirited and still a good gain over stock. This coupled with the airbox mod (removal of vacuum line) is just dirtyyyy, but I ended up hooking it back up as I enjoyed the extra vroom at 3.5k revs 😛 Any other questions, fire away 🙂
  9. Autotrader is therapy... right?
  10. The only way to know for sure, is by watching it 😉 haha! Glad you enjoyed it though 🙂
  11. Bodes well for owners in the 100k range, only another 100k to go before you need may need to replace these few things 😂 And yeah, I paused the video several times to have a good old gander at how immaculate it was!
  12. I've enjoyed this channel and Jared is a Lexus enthusiast, nice to see the F's getting some love. He doesn't take himself too seriously and has super motor knowledge, great video from my point of view 🙂
  13. I missed out on a local toyota dealers 'visit' day when it was touring the UK in Sept/ early Oct. Gonna go enquire a bit further once I've got 5 minutes to myself!
  14. Should take a look at the new Yaris GR, holy moly that is nice! Trying to get one as a run around and leave the F as a weekend type car. I am a big fan of some of the classic jap cars! Bit of a sucker for R34's, NSX's and 240's
  15. Amen haha! I think I am old before my time, as I have lost interest in most modern combustion engine cars with their 100000bhp and a 0-60 time of 0.0000012, neither of which I care about or could feasibly use on the road...
  16. I looked at Polestar 2, but it was a smidge out of budget when trying to get the Mrs into one. Was also a bit nervous about how good they would actually be as a 'new' car, do think they look nice though. Maybe next time around!
  17. Interesting as my brother works for Kia (head office) and he had a Stinger as a pool car for 3 months, had a thrash in it and was I very impressed and think they are good value for money! I tend to go for non mainstream cars too, prefer having something outside what everyone else has! Agreed, extra sad times for the UK (for now)
  18. Just a general discussion point, watching some depressing youtube videos highlighting the upcoming sparsity of Lexus UK lineup. With the distinct lack of F cars (believe the RCF is currently the only one to survive), will everyone stay with Lexus and hold out for future F cars be satisfied with such a limited line up or are we looking elsewhere for our power fixes? I'll be sticking with the GSF long term, maybe a depreciated LC in the future as I do find them sexy, possible Track Edition for bants? The Mrs is happy in her NX. But I don't know what I would do if I couldn't have my F 😞
  19. Never sat in the rear of my car other than to clean it 😆 and with my exhaust, I can't hear my thoughts, let alone something barely audible! 😛
  20. Poor choice of front lip if you were gonna stick one on 😞
  21. My grandad loves getting taken out in mine, my dads RX is too high for him to get in and out of with ease. The GS is 'just right' 😌 - could also be that he's a petrol head and likes speed 🤷‍♂️
  22. Foot stomp mode I get single figures in mpg - not that I care during said times. Day to day I am averaging around 23 mpg, thats 32 mile round trip to work which is a combination of back roads and a dual carriageway stint. Have driven to Scotland and Wales, cruise control 76mph, average about 34mpg which includes a few blips to redline when I was bored 😛
  23. Well that's an extra sad face, might join that group though, be good to stock up on parts 😛
  24. Possibly! Covid made me SORN mine for several months (tax and MOT coincided with end of March), so it made sense at the time. Haven't seen any parts up on eBay or salvage repairs on known auction sites.
