  1. I agree, I love how it looks. Would put a GTHaus on it for that sweet V8 noise 😛 Not a track car for sure, but doubt it would ever actually get tracked outside of reviews I want an anniversary RCF and this TE, don't think any GSF anniversary made it to the UK (that I know of?) as I'd love to add them into future collection Think i've got a problem... 🤣
  2. There is one for sale, go buy and let us know? 😄 More preference for white colour, better contrast for the carbonnnn, but tad strong money wise. I'll wait for depreciation (hopefully) and add to the collection another time... plus it's a chunk out of the 'LFA fund' 😛
  3. Half glass full - wow low miles, dried stored on trickle charge, no cost spared to keep it pristine, low owners, that's worth some £££ maybe I can grab a bargain?! Half glass empty - sat under or not under a cover outside or in less than ideal conditions, quick whip round to make look tidy but underneath probs riddled like swiss cheese and mouldy to its core on the interior, scam! I would want an in person check over, I'd be looking at subframe, sills, rear arches, perishing or corroded pipes - Happy hunting! 😆 P.S - A higher mileage (50k), older car which had been fully inspected before buying and was literally perfect went for about £8k, might give some precedent for that 9-10k expectation 🙂
  4. Peripheral vision + muscle memory = problem solved, but probs can say 'answer' or a similar instruction 😄
  5. The Mrs wanted a Q3, which I wasn't against but made her test both before making a decision, she didn't like the old shape Q3 and she had to spec the new Q3 quite highly before she was happy with its creature comforts but the price was then eye watering! She loved the looks of the F-sport NX and the 'packs' are so much easier to navigate, we grabbed a bargain high mileage (for its age) NX which was fully kitted out, with the reliability rating being so high, I wasn't worried. The only thing she wasn't keen on, was the lack of 'oomph' but she's getting used to the CVT & hybrid style of driving 😛
  6. Ours is the dog-mobile! Plenty of trips up to Scotland to conquer some Bens! It is a brilliant car, sure you will enjoy 🙂
  7. Best channel, but occasionally does waffle 😆 Correct 😄
  8. You can phone up and cancel and anyting you are due back they will pay you. I paid all in one go, so I'm due a pro-rata refund as I've technically 'used' 3 months of the warranty, so still getting a large chunk back! The new 'Relax' only comes into affect when you get the car serviced. So I have to go without warranty until March next year, not that I forsee any difficulties!
  9. Thanks for the input! My GSF had the fuel pump recall as you mentioned so that would be an item I'd check on an earlier car. Exhaust note for once, isn't important as again the GSF has a GTHaus on it and provides all noise required and the Mrs is NOT a fan, so stock or a more subdued hybrid may fit the bill🤣 the front pads I replaced with EBC reds and had no further problems with squeals, so would likely do the same if the LC suffered. I'll have to get googling or wait for someone in the know to comment about the filter. None of my local dealers have an LC of either type in stock, otherwise I would just go try and see what my other half thinks. So may have to travel and pick two close by dealers for a back to back comparison. Glad to hear you are enjoying the car and I would agree it is a real head turner! I am in the midst of trying to purchase storage for mine and my fathers mini car collection, if that goes swimmingly, I will then be more committed to purchasing an LC as space is a premium around my house 😆
  10. Howdy peeps! Since the launch of the LC I have always fancied one, very particular to the launch spec but they are uber rare these days. Next few months might see some money become available, so of course, I'm spending the money 'theoretically' 😉 at the moment! Few questions for the forum... Mrs may prefer the hybrid so I'd consider either, anyone driven both for decent lengths of time and how do they compare? What year was the additional emissions filter added? Any known 'quirks' that I should look out for in either model? How has your general experience with the car been, if you could change anything, what would it be? Any other remarks you feel valuable, fire them down below! Could a 4th be joining the driveway 🤷‍♂️
  11. Solely paid for by you, yes please 😛 Bit of black duct tape should sort that 😆 definitely this 😆
  12. Also, after a quick browse, OEM part number is 52114-24170 - might be able to source one and modify accordingly or at least sacrifice in a DIY adventure!
  13. I had this thought too, but it got put the on the never ending 'to-do' list 😛 Was going to find a suitable number plate holder and/ or fashion one and try to utilise existing mounting point on the grill/ bumper GSF currently SORN so might actually get done before it goes back on the road! If you sort a solution, would be super intrigued on the end result 🙂
  14. I have the wonderfully modern 6 disc CD changer to store all my driving moods 😉
  15. I've possibly gone a bit mad, or sane (depending on your view) but I have just SORN'd the GSF as I had a very expensive months of 'outgoings' and the tax was due... £600! So the LS is now my daily after making her mechanically sound, been boating around, silky smooth (after adjusting the coilovers) as I was a bit optimistic on the original low setting and 'crashiness' going over bumps 😆 but I've just driven to golf with all gear in the boot, listening to some classic 90's music (my fave) and honestly have had the most relaxed driving experience in ages! If it spoils you, why take it away 😉 in this case, too much of a good thing... is a Lexus 😛
  16. See if Megazip has the diagram for location, might give you a hint on how best to access it 😄
  17. Think it is just official 'unveiling' so it'll confirm the leak we saw earlier in the year 😆 and confirm specs etc @Martynt74 I wouldn't worry about high mileage, I specifically sort out a high mile NX but well spec'd for the Mrs, came with 1 year warranty from Lexus, will then be replaced with this 'Relax' once that is up. NX has reliability score of mid to high 90 percentile. The only downside we have found to the NX was the lack of 'punch' when you lead food the right pedal, but everything else has been fine. We get a German Shep, shopping and loads of kit in the boot for adventures 😛 On this note, my dad has a 2016 RX F-sport and also purchased a higher mileage one as they just don't go wrong. Previous 2 RX's were on the brink of 200k and were only updated to have a more 'modern' car with creature comforts etc. The boot space is larger but enourmous, but I would concede the cabin space does feel a bit more spacious than the NX.
  18. you can always have a 'breakdown' and become immature again... any day now! 😆
  19. New car sales are slower for several manufacturers due to delays in sourcing electronics from China, therefore, used car market does pick up a bit as people not able to get a new car in a reasonable time frame, look elsewhere 🙂
  20. Rear section only is like $3.5k for valved option, plus you have to contend with shipping/ import, so it unfortunately starts to stack up $$$
  21. Yeah I've just spent the past hour reading through, you can cancel and get refund on pro-rata basis but to activate Relax you need to get the car serviced. Also just looked this up, still a bargain for ths service you get! I'd be inclined to agree, more favourable wording towards Lexus is what I concluded.
  22. So I recently purchased warranty 2-4-1 when mine went in for a service in March. I emailed to question what I could do regarding this new warranty vs. my already paid in full 2 years. Email reply suggested they had little to no warning that Lexus/ Toyota were introducing this warranty. My options were to cancel and receive pro-rata refund and then apply for this extended warranty through my local dealer who serviced the car, but I would lose the free MOT's and roadside assistance perk. Or I can keep it how it is and benefit from extended warranty, free MOT's and roadside assistance, but upon renewal time (in 2 years) the 2-4-1 warranty extension will not be available and this new warranty offer will be only one available! Thoughts?
  23. Forgot about this one! Or if your neighbours do 😛
  24. A noisy one 😉 I have GTHaus mid pipe and back boxes. Likely the loudest of the options and that isn't a boast it is just f-ing loud! Great to release that V8 goodness! @Cezar B has it on his and there are youtube clips (which are his) that demonstrate its volume 😛 Unsure if any members have the Apexi system, I only know what youtube sound clip info gives me on it! Most on LOC with RC's have changed to Hayward and Scott which gives modest sound gains, is reasonable in price and in the UK! I also know @mr2lad has ArmyTrix on his and speaks highly of it and has sound clips on some recent posts which atest to its sound. I guess it depends exactly what you're after and more importantly, budget?! 😆
  25. Half decent golf course down there!
