  1. And if they reply 'oh yeah you mean the RC F-Sport' - run, run away! 😆
  2. Sorry, didn't receive notification of the reply! I have tried everything under the sun with no success, so it'll have to wait until the car gets the full dismantle. We have narrowed it down to the drivers door itself being at fault somehow, everything works individually but the drivers door does nothing to other windows etc, also does not bring on the interior door light, but other doors do it as they should. About to purchase storage, so I've gone from fixing problems, to listing them for investigation as the car will ultimately come apart for restoration. I will do my best to make threads of the rebuild and solving of any problems.
  3. Me likey the Solar Flare on the GSF! Looking forward to pics.
  4. Like a Lexus GS F, I hear they are going for somewhere around this mark... 😉🤣
  5. I started to look at this possibility for my GSF a year or so ago as it was a minefield and I wasn't really that bothered, this gives me hope though!
  6. So when things are too good to be true they usually are... a recent video of the same channel very briefly discussed this 220k mile engine, in which it was revealed the car has done 220k but the engine, not so much, the previous owner 'replaced' it, but no further comments are made. So that would explain the crazy good condition. Sorry to burst anyones (and my own) bubble, but in the interest of honesty, thought it bet that it should be known! *Sad Lexus noises*
  7. Ahh yes, tha uber aggressive cleaner called water on a plush microfibre, how could I have been so blind... What a crock of ****!
  8. Now available for the bargain price of £9.5k... down from 10! 😆
  9. I've been bidding on the mk1 that was going for 800 range, now up to 1k, who am I bidding against on here? 🤣 79k miles and relatively good condition from what I can see, seller was a smidge cagey about sending me pictures of sills and inner arches 'won't be home til 7pm' - must get dark quick in the midlands... Hopefully securing a new storage unit/ working area - so would have given it some TLC and stopped it sitting outside, poor thing!
  10. Congrats and welcome to the F club 😉 ML is the nuts and I couldn't do without my card key, so handy to slip into my wallet... just don't walk out the car without it in your pocket 😆 The blue will look lovely especially being fresh! How many sleeps til delivery? 🤣
  11. I think the only options aside colour for the GSF were sunroof and ML, everything else was standard?
  12. Gives me a lot of hope with my GSF currently sitting at 47k miles, not that I would, but to sell it now for that money, I'd have lost nothing in depreciation since purchasing 3 years ago...
  13. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184891293962?_trkparms=aid%3D777001%26algo%3DDISCO.FEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20170615105047%26meid%3D4cbf024dd8e042aeb25ba4d9fbe5c7de%26pid%3D100656%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26itm%3D184891293962%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057%26algv%3DRelatedTopicsKWTitleSRPSeeAll%26brand%3D&_trksid=p2380057.c100656.m5063&_trkparms=pageci%3A65cdb947-d128-11eb-8d87-d29c6eff22b9|parentrq%3A256f782f17a0a9d95acf7a1efffb8b6c|iid%3A1 How about this one? Could be worth a punt 😛
  14. Haven't worked in Reading for a long time, so small possibility it was you a long while back. Don't exactly see floods of GSF's on the road 🤣
  15. Also @mrfunex I am dead certain I've seen your GSF on my previous route to work, somewhere between Reading and Heckfield? Your plate feels awfully familiar...
  16. Palmer days at Bedford are superb, I've never fancied buying a track based car or tracking a road car, so to try a host of different cars with tuition over a day was mega, my dad loved it as well, felt safe but could push it hard 😄
  17. Mine are on the never-ending to-do list, but they function despite looking tatty so not of concern... yet! 😆
  18. @rich1068 regarding the A/C, funny you should say that I think it only did this when the AC was working, now the AC has re-broke (temporary fix was very temporary) it hasn't made itself apparent. The drier unit connection that comes from the condenser was mega brittle and the o-ring inset broke clean off on removal @steve2006 was going to look for one in his 'shed' but never heard anything back... @The-Acre it has now been through 2 full tanks of fuel and whilst the problems have improved, I will monitor. It will remain on the road until new unit has been purchased, then it gets a nut and bolt restore, so will leave full investigations for then/ part replacements, needs a lot of loving as sills are starting to rust and poor thing has been pulled about a lot in its life time and paint is beyond a quick respray, so when space is not a premium, the full monty is being carried out 😄
  19. The AC unit LCD is fine and the backlights work (will double check), looks to have been replaced at some point. The radio unit itself and the buttons on it don't seem to have any light (again will double check)
  20. I appear to be a moron, didn't see the replies Again blaming it on turning 30 🤣
  21. Afternoon! Had the LS on the road now for about 2 weeks, lovely wafting about here and there, very relaxing. A few things have yet to be resolved, any insight/ information would be welcomed. I have 1 manual key only, it unlocks all doors if used in the front passenger door, but if used on drivers door only unlocks that door - wondered if this was purposeful or a problem? Each door window switch works its own window, the drivers multiswitch, only does its own window, doesn't do any of the passenger windows and the 'auto' feature, does not work. I have tried to 'reset' without result and replaced the window switch with a spare without result - dodgy wiring? Cluster randomly will randomly decide to not work, give it a tap and springs into life. No pattern to it working/ not working. Backing lights to radio unit do not work, opened it and replaced the bulbs but still doesn't work, wondered if there was another known problem with the radio unit? Occasionally on start up, the car will 'spit' a few times before firing into life - no pattern, just random. It will be getting new plugs soon, just waiting for space to manifest itself at the unit... I read about the coil pack problem, so can look into that as well but any other items to check? Occasionally whilst sat waiting in traffic or at the lights, the idling rpm will fluctuate quite a bit, anything from 200-1000. Since fuelling up twice with a full tank it has settled, wondered if it was crap fuel as it had been sat for 6 months or more whilst work was being carried out and only really moved to be swapped in/ out the unit. Anything else known to cause this? Was going to check all lines in case of air leaks etc. Temporary fix on the AC lasted 2 days, so now getting it repaired correctly! Aside these minor niggles, happy as larry in this car, especially in this weather with the sunroof open 😄 *Also forgot the headlight washer jets don't work*
  22. The replies all refer to the wiper blades themselves, thought it might be worth a check, do you mean wiper blades (things that clear your windscreen) or the metal arms that come from scuttle and the blades attach to? 🙂
