  1. I ran EBC reds on the front of mine whilst the rears remained standard - no issues. I did replace the rears with EBC reds when they were low earlier this year.
  2. Purchaser and seller of the finest magic beans! 😆 I am a physiotherapist by degree, but the NHS is unfortunately a shambles and private work starts to become a weirdly lucrative scene if you want to be dishonest (not my MO) and charge through the nose for false promises, have also worked in the benefit system conducting assessments for UC and ESA - never again no matter how good the pay!!! Investment opportunities is where I turn over the real pennies, property, cars, precious metals, stock market, Lego (no joke), anything that I could turn a profit on I'll give it a once over, started as a side thing and kinda exploded into real money making. I am also on the same page as @Arnett, I live off a spreadsheet, which may appear to take the fun out of things but I am able to maximise money available to endulge by creating strict budgets around needs/ wants of everyday things and sticking to them/ improving them. I've heard from a few US owners on insta, this makes the car undriveable unless in the perfect weather condition, so I didn't fancy blowing the money and ruining the car.
  3. I wanted to add an LC500 but I have just purchased a workshop/ storage set up, so money isn't as available right now and the Mrs is giving me the eye for the new NX. I could squeeze the financials for a GR Yaris which I really want as a run around, not that I mind being in the LS or GS F, but something smaller and nippy is screaming at me and I've already scratched the Abarth itch! There are strong rumours/ confirmations (depends how you look at it) that we will get a GR Corolla and allegedly, a Lexus 'UC' will make an appearance a few years down the line based off the new GR86 but with a hybrid platform... I loved the R35 when it came out, but I am bored of it and think it has lost its 'special' now, plus everyones got the 'Litchfield Look' with small willy compensation big HP 😛 which doesn't interest me. What am I interested in other than above, too many is the short answer but to generate some discussion... Another GS F but as low mileage as possible to keep as a 'future classic' and not have to worry about miles on my current one. Lexus LFA if I sold the house and lived in the car 😂 Skyline R34 GTR The LX on autotrader or a Touareg as I need a tow vehicle AM Vantage GT8 manual Porsche 911 GT3 touring Cupra Formentor - if the Mrs doesn't like the new NX Volvo V60 Polestar 3L Alfa Guilia QF GTAm
  4. 'One careful lady owner' 😂
  5. You'll likely hear me before you see me 😂, we should sort out some spirited driving at some point as we seem to be so local to each other! 💪
  6. How have I not seen you if that's local to you? I am but 5 mins from that roundabout! Haven't seen an ISF over my way for a while, maybe a new addition to someones garage... There was a grey one that used to pass me around Aldershot area frequently but has since vanished.
  7. Right after the LFA 😉 I ponder the reaction of the Mrs if I were to sell the house for one... 😂
  8. Ahh yes, you have ascended to the ultimate level! 😂 'Why are we going the long way home...' 'Nothing to do with the tunnel en route!'
  9. Followed a Lexus UK link on NX pricing, has renewed my interest as it actually feels reasonable? The Mrs loves it too and loves her current NX so that was an easy sell, she wants to test drive and have a good look around when the demonstrator arrives at our local dealer. With 2nd hand market being strong at the moment, wondering whether an early upgrade might be feasible - I never buy new cars but it is tempting!
  10. @mr2lad has jazzed up his badges but unsure what process he undertook, might be worth popping him a message if he doesn't comment 🙂
  11. Add pics once you've bought one 😛
  12. Was buying a house so went all out eco for a bit, then through a string of good luck, company policy changes and competitors increasing their salaries, I received 3 raises in the space of 8 months, the eco route soon went out the window! 😂
  13. I went from a CT to my GS F, never looked back. You will get mid 20's MPG on average driving, crusing I have had 36. Can't comment on practicality but I wouldn't say the RC is void of space. Also agree with the remarks above, N/A V8 is a dying breed and the sound still makes me all giggly 3 years down the line!!! I think the modest 400hp range is about right for road driving, I personally have no lust for these 600hp monsters that you definitely cannot appreciate 90% of the time. Lets put it this way, you can always buy another hybrid... but as you hinted at, days may be numbered on the V8 front 😉
  14. 3 in total, sign of the apocalypse! 😂
  15. On another note, correct me if wrong, Esso 99 still ethanol free? Had a cheap momentum 99 near me but the price has been climbing steeply of late so might give the 'ol Esso a go 🤷‍♂️
  16. Begins with m, ends in y and has one in the middle... 😂
  17. There is a salvage GS F that has been broken down into bits on ebay, engine and gearbox sitting at £11k... lets hope it doesn't come to that seeing as you are under warranty, honestly hope it gets diagnosed properly, modern way seems to be just 'replace whole unit'. I also echo above comments, never heard of any GS F or RC F transmission problems, hopefully something silly and inexpensive, I'll take a stab at failed o-ring... 🤷‍♂️ Would be greatful with any diagnosis you receive and the overall outcome, which we all hope is positive!
  18. I enjoy being asked what car I have and when responding with GS F, I'll either get 'do you mean f-sport' or 'they are cracking hybrids'... never wears thin and gives me a good chuckle. The sales guy at my local dealership idolises the IS F and is genuinely a mega nice guy and we can chat about all topics without him hounding me on 'the sale' which makes me seek him out whenever we are looking to upgrade.
  19. I think it really is a shot in the dark, I have never had bad experience from my local dealer but when purchasing my partners car we travelled to a different one and the guy was beyond useless, luckily I had already done on the relevant checks on the car. We had horrible service from Merc, BMW and Audi near to us but had a super pleasant experience with a Merc and Audi dealer further away... 🤷‍♂️
  20. I have personal preference of Michelin but have run Goodyear on other cars and couldn't complain, head to the RC hybrid forums and maybe owners will share their experiences/ thoughts on tyres to suit your needs 🙂
  21. The hybrids are prone to inner rear edge wear due to battery placement, my old CT flat spotted its tyres and I was also advised 'normal', but as the OP is talking about his RC F, I hadn't read any comments on the F regarding tyre wear on front inners - sorry for original lack of clarity but it was in the F forum so didn't feel the need too 😛
  22. Can't really comment re tyre wear, different car but never seen any other posts mentioning inner wear. But regarding your next tyre choice, I've had both PS4 (previous set) and PS4S (current set) and would honestly say unless you are likely to do some track days, the PS4 tyres are more than enough for road use, also watched 'tyre reviews' youtube channel and the conclusions were the same. The only reason I swapped to PS4S was a coupon code that made them the same price as the PS4's, so thought might as well give them a bash!
  23. This is the game I play, find part number and search across Toyota to find a car that shares it, think I enjoy it a bit too much...
  24. Ahh yes you are correct, I forgot that option haha! Having just done a valve replacement on a 3cyl, for such a small engine, the procedure for the head removal was a sod and a half. It was first time doing that engine but I've come across simpler and more complex higher capacity ones in the past. Haven't done a 430's so can't comment on ease, about to take on a rebuild of my 400 though....
