I drove my LS for about 7 days as it had a full tank, thinking the whole stupidity would blow over (obvs it didn't). That now has about 1/4 tank left of 99. GS was on empty before the 'crisis' started and for love nor money could I find 99 anywhere, spoke to a few colleagues who work at local petrol stations and they were giving delivery priority to the lower octane fuel. So I also had to bite the bullet and put 95 in the GS (first time in years!), I don't intend to drive anywhere unless totally necessary. We even made news headlines in eastern europe 'fighting for fuel' followed by a delightful montage of people having a good old square off... it seems that some reports have been over-hyped though as my Mrs received a phonecall from her worried mum asking if she was safe!!! Overall thoughts, this country is turning into a meme!

More importantly, when we going for a drive? Only managed to get poverty spec fuel so I'd ideally like to burn through that and get some 99 back in the tank! 😆

Oooft the only M car that I've wanted, still on 'the list' but other cars before it at the moment 😆 As @Arnett has said, lack of response to this thread doesn't look hopeful, but there are a few people on the forum that keep stock of F cars, so may chime in at home point with some history. It might be worth trying the facebook group too and asking the question there? None so far, few random isolated events but no patterns/ common issues. These babies are fairly bulletproof! I would imagine it depends how you intend on using the car, I haven't driven one without so lets hope another member has!

Well, this had me in bits with this mornings cuppa 😆 @Danny Hill I think this whole little facade has been fun, but somewhat unnecessary, but hey we are in the 'modern' world where we all love to get offended, seems to be the 'in' thing 😆 If the RC F is as good as you say and as cheap as you feel it is in the current market, then best of luck with the sale and hope someone snaps it up quick. Also wish you well with your Cosworth project, BUT not feeling the tone coming from the comment. You say you've had 'adult' conversations between yourself and above customer but both joined the forum to taddle on each other, 'adult' doesn't come to mind....

The fact we've got two people taddling on each other to the F forum is honestly hilarious. More hilarious that it is customer and dealer. This gave me an additional chuckle, I concur, think there is even some RC F adverts up as we speak lacking pics etc. If people are looking for these cars, see the advert and notice the dealer is local, they are surely going to drop in to see the car/ or enquire? If there isn't an advert, this can't happen, so personally don't blame dealers for getting something up rather than nothing - but of course, this is just personal opinion!

I mean yes to owning an LFA, but as above, if such money was at my disposal, eww to that interior and eww to LHD. Also as above, I'd bang out an import, quite a few specialist companies willing to middle man it. The import can't be that bad as a dealer I spoke to had sold 2 and was in talks to import a 3rd and the projected for sale prices weren't horrific!

Nah, not for these cars. Amen to that! Edit - Check if it has received its 60k service, that's a big spend straight off the bat otherwise 🙂

I've been having a good chuckle to myself about GS F prices, mine is currently worth more than what I paid and with double the mileage... the Mrs NX is going for £7k(ish) more than her settlement, so will be having a quick trip into local dealer to see if we can rustle up a deal for new NX or facelift RX...

I recognise that 'stock' background from an ebay seller, very hit and miss with cars from them in the past, some delightful purchases, some utter dogs! Could be a worthy tidy up type project for someone, any guessers on sell price, seeing as used car market is still playing high ball?

I would suspect as much and haven't read into its possibility either, but worth a bash just in case!

@Rob RCF apologies for sloppy/ delayed response, I had totally forgot 2 engines and 1 gearbox swap needed to occur on team cars this week and due to nut jobs panic buying fuel, I drove the LS for the week as it had a full tank, therefore, did not check whether our diag reads engine oil level! I am fuelling the GS up tonight and will be driving it next week so will definitely try it! P.S if you hear a loud car goign round in circles tonight, its me trying to find f-ing fuel! 😆

Now we wait and see what number the dealer pulls out their hat! 😆 On a side note, delightful pictures and car looks stunning, no wonder it was snapped up, done all the hard work for the dealer/ next owner. Congrats on the sale 🙂

Possible ignorance, but do Lexus dealerships have in house capabilities for such repairs these days? Thought it was all 'Lexus approved' i.e. any one willing to take on the work... Car vertical as advised above or total car check, both worth the money, if you want a discount code for car vertical there was one floating around from 'Salvage Rebuilds UK' on youtube (great channel on the whole) which might make it a bit of an easier choice. Could be worth getting an independent inspection if you were really set on the vehicle, it is a lot of car for £20k, depends on how much risk you are willing to take. If you undertake any of the above, pretty please cherry on top, share the outcome(s) Reg plate is on the rear pics, MOT history looks fine overall.

Better off importing from Japan or middle east (at least last time i checked), i'd want a RHD one, daily driven LFA anyone?... why not!

Not sure why the pics don't load for me... however, I changed my filter out for an aftermarket one (at least 50bhp gain!) 😆, but I do remember the filter being a smidge fiddly to get in, but with a few mins of patience it wasn't that bad, so I agree it shouldn't be any trouble for Lexus themselves. I'll have to check if our OBD reader can check my engine oil level, as we did a ABS pump bleed without issue (which I was told required dealer software), if successful I can let you know and maybe pop over and check yours? Obvs you can just take it to Lexus and get the issues rectified/ checked but the offer will stand either way 🙂
