  1. Amayama says it has stock, depends if you want to order from Japan or not? Part no. 5210753012 or 5210653012 - classed as 'rear bumper extension'... 🤷‍♂️
  2. Very occasionally they come up on ebay, try Lexus parts direct but as others have mentioned, not cheap! Not in stock on rockauto either. Nonsense 😛 buy more!
  3. Go rag it round the block and see if it comes loose 😆
  4. I had a quick look in the garage yesterday, left my sodding trim kit at the unit it would seem and as much as I like being helpful, not feeling so helpful as to go and get them 😆 Never got into dark souls tbh, games I lost time to were Skyrim, Dying Light and Shadow of Mordor/ War. Skyrim nearly defeated my university degree 😆
  5. Nerd 😉 haven't got round to it myself yet! can jam my hands into the most ridiculous of places (not a euphemism) 😆 yessssssss, I am around Sunday afternoon if you lose hope 😛
  6. That sounds like a job for a day you need to lose time for a bit! Good to 'disappear' fettling away, if you need an extra set of eyes/ ears, or enjoy making tea for others, i'll give you a hand 😄 😆
  7. I believe it has been a long standing problem for the more specialist wheel finishes, IS F owners also suffer from inability to get perfect matches. I do know that several owners have gone for 'close to' and tbh it really is hard to tell. When mine is due for some TLC over spring/ summer, I will be getting full set of wheel refurbs done, was rather taken in by a BMW brake caliper paint which is triple layer and 'shadow chrome' in colour (name escapes me on the spot), but it was pretty sexual 😛
  8. https://www.megazip.net/zapchasti-dlya-avtomobilej/toyota/lexus-is-42401/use20-54972/use20r-fezrhw-926156/cruise-control-auto-drive-17917896#/il-414813811-3904032-3904032 Helpful?
  9. Megazip or amayama, as above, takes some getting used to navigation wise. If you master it, its the new bible 😛
  10. I will unfortunately not make this, despite the date mix up with my stag do, got other plans that according to the other half 'have been there forever' oopsies! 😆
  11. Why does all the fun stuff happen when I take a week off! 😛 Welcome @GSF_REG to F club, lovely car, think I remember it from an ebay advert a while back but lost track of where it went. Sounds like you did indeed pick it up for a more pallatable price than the current market. You are correct, wheels have been repainted, there is only one wheel finish for us in the UK (best one if you ask me), the colour is annoyingly difficult to match though, so refurbs can result in people going for something 'cheap' and or simple. A meet would be great at some point, come rain or shine! If you check out other threads, there is a stand booked for JapFest coming up, if you fancied it?!
  12. Delayed response apologies on my part, took a week off being online 😄 Back in the country tomorrow and will be lugging it down to workshop to have a faff with it, handy knowing people with trailers! I shall definitely give the alternator a thorough look over. When I purchased the car, it came with a PS leak, albeit very minor, fixed that immediately as I had heard about the 'ol contamination happening with the alternator but it hadn't seem to have progressed that far. I'll get the old unit out (if found to be culprit) to double check part no.
  13. Sorry for the delayed re-visit to this thread, took a week off being online! Deege solar are the company that fitted my dads set-up, just to throw another hat into the mix. Incredible job and very knowledgeable guys. After my workshop is complete and it starts generating come income, will look to finance a solar install on my own home. Have some basic and very old panels currently, but want to also go down the energy storage route. Nice little discussion thread 🙂
  14. Isn't the Tesla PW overpriced for the storage capacity? My dad has a large Growatt installation, he considered the PW but after researching and discussing with installers the cost was astronomical in comparison. I guess it depends what you intend to 'get out of it' - hope that makes sense? Cost in vs. reward back out is a big factor. As an example, my dads system charges the batteries, excess energy heats hot water, used for appliances that are currently drawing a lot or sent back to the grid. He can use the stored energy to power lights, appliances, heat hot water etc through the evening without issue. He really put it to the test by charging a Smart EV as well! (albeit a very small car). He has recently purchased an I-Pace and can 'top up' the battery on that but due to its much larger battery and charge time required is not feasible to try and fully charge. Battery prices are a little all over the place currently and my only suggestion (which you may have already done) is research until you're sick of it 😆
  15. I use and still continue to use Lexus' cover, added the Mrs when she had her Audi. Now she has an NX, she has cover of her own. Ironically the only time I have used the cover was when out driving my other cars 😆 and even used it when out in a friends car. I have only ever used AA as a service before owning a Lexus, but that was a discounted policy that came as part of my job benefits.
  16. So my last topic discussed how super smooth and faultless I was finding the waft-mobile as my current daily. However, trouble was just around the corner 😞 Drove to my destination without issue, finished up for the day and went to come home, car started but ALL the dashlights were on. Thought maybe the cluster itself was up the blink, had an on/off backlighting issue that would occasionally play up, so I proceeded to drive home. As I drove, all the lights went back to normal, but then throughout the 30min journey home, random lights would come on whenever they fancied and about 10mins from home, I completely lost headlights. Sidelights, brake lights and indicators all still worked without issue and dash lights continued their party. Parked up at home, drove the GS for past few days and went to move the LS today from in front of the house to the back and its dead, extinct, kaput, nada, not even an acknowledgement from the steering column that the key is in the ignition, turn of the key does nothing! Investigation wise, I have unfortunately done nothing, going away for a week tomorrow and not enough time for fettling. I would put money that it isn't battery related as that is essentially brand new and of good quality, did have an intermittent starter issue that lasted 2 days and then never showed itself again but can't see how that would cause said issue. Alternator? Cluster itself? Dreaded ECU death?
  17. Super colour, nice plate too 😉
  18. But... but... more brum brum!!! 😆
  19. I don't want to burst your bubble, but unless you are 100% going to buy a car there and then, pretty pointless IMO. Get emails all the time for VIP/ loyal customer events etc. They are more geared towards new car purchases and there are some ok/ good deals on offer, great would be a stretch if you ask me. They essentially will do what they can within reason to get a sale out of you. I do wonder if it differs much between dealerships, but I'd presume not much? We did ask some questions regarding a used NX, but they were more focused on getting us into a new one, we did not oblige.
  20. Quite nice knowing it'll start on the button, without issue, as required 😉
  21. Is it absolute dog then? 😉 I see white and immediately like it... (I do like other colour cars too!) 😛
  22. @Arnett lets buy a carbon and strip it out 😄
