  1. That's a shame, but I do like the idea of the M3 touring, god knows how long thats been highly sort after! I would agree, WBAC in January for the Mrs NX was £25k, did it yesterday and it was £20k! Think the market likely flooded as everyone tried to jump on the potential quick profit. Work with a race team and it would seem that any old piece of tat was marked up, dead beat 2005 116i went from being £3-600 to £1k!!! So I would also agree that 'quality' used are likely outweighed by general rubbish.
  2. Saw it up and expected a post from you 😛 I still can't believe you've only done under 12k miles! Mega pics, how it should be done! Best of luck with sale 🙂
  3. @Rob RCF I get a hiss if I run it to essentially empty, but never get much of the petrol pump clicking these days, maybe now and again but no contortion required to fill up!
  4. I am not a hooligan, I am a 'spirited' driver! 😛 It was the first few weeks into ownership, car had PSS which were mega low on tread and I drove it EVERYWHERE like I stole it, rung its neck at every opportunity. 9.6 mpg was the lowest it ever showed and tbh I don't think I have ever driven it that hard since, on some twisty roads I have got into the low teens a few times. Average about 23-26 these days. Must have been all the right/ wrong circumstances to make it happen 😆
  5. You take what sponsorship you can...right? 😆
  6. And thank the Atkinson cycle too 😉 Traffic and road conditions allowing, have easily stayed in the high 30's Have also easily been in single figures 😆
  7. Smidge of an update, it was about £20 more to get a new one over reconditioning. I ordered from autodoc, matched the plug to mine and made sure it was 100A. Got a phonecall 2 days later 'the part you've ordered is wrong' Had a good chinwag with the most helpful guy ever, I stated my problem in finding a 100A with correct connector and had done my best to get the correct part, annoyingly the one that came out the car didn't have any markings on it in the slightest!! However, it seems they double checked the part against my reg and then VIN, as reg brings up different options, assured me it had the correct plug and was 100A. So I've trusted them and had to cough up another £13!! That's like 1L of petrol in todays climate 😆 Was notified it was dispatched yesterday, so we'll see what happens! Scrolling back through, missed a few Q's, car is at 145k (ish) miles, paperwork file that came with it shows a receipt for a recon alternator but cannot remember if it was 2005 or 2015 on the date. It most definitely had a mixed and tough life before me, still has a drift bar welded in on the rear 😆 Just waiting on H&S to come sign off the workshop and once the money tree at the end of the garden starts to sprout, we'll be good to tear her down 😄
  8. As above, try and find car(s) in those colour combos. Just swing by a dealer and have a nose. Pictures never fully represent. Other factors to think about (but not necessarily consider) is when you come to swap the car in the future, does white or red sell better? Long term care is also something as well. Looking after white can be tricky, but not impossible, depends how prone you are to in car accidents 😆 Brilliant how tastes different, I'd avoid white like the plague and love the red interiors in my current and previous Lexi 😄 Best of luck with purchase and colour choice, worst case, pull bits of paper out a hat 😛
  9. What's the longest hair on the body? Your anal hair, because it makes your eyes water when you pull it!
  10. What do you call a factory that makes okay products? A satisfactory!
  11. As the owner of two Lexi in said colour, I take great offence 😆😆 I would quite imagine as with many things, if you have enough money, anything is possible, even disasters like that! 😛
  12. ***** Lovett have an LFA up for sale, unfortunately it shows that money can't buy taste, what an ugly-***** interior, that lilac needs a re-trim asap! Belive it was a UAE car, all yours for the princely sum of £625k 🤑 anyone wanna go halves? 😛 https://www.dicklovett.co.uk/specialist/used-cars/2011-lexus-lfa-lhd
  13. Just part of car ownership I'm afraid, regardless of brand or £ spent, it is inevitable that crud will get caught up in the tiniest of gaps. I would suggest using compressed air to removed though, manual aggitation will ultimately result in scratching, no matter how soft the cloth. Happy cleaning! 😄
  14. So then my next question 😆 how many times can you refurb an alternator? I have a receipt that came with the car to show the one that has just died on me was refurbished, smidge of a noob so can you refurb a refurb? 😄
  15. Well it was the alternator in the end, just been too busy so finally got to it yesterday! I was just wondering before I go ahead and order one, the ones on offer in UK are 100A, but the rockauto ones are 80A, will that make much of a difference? Also I keep coming across 'option 2' but never an 'option 1' 😆 The alternator I have, unfortunately has 0 markings, part number etc to state wtf it is, any pointers on what is/ isn't the correct one? TIA 🙂
  16. So do I pick the 4L V8 from 1996 or the 5L V8 from 2016 as my 'economical' car? 🤣
  17. £1.68 for Esso 99 😞 and to fill the LS and F up comes to about £200! 😬 Ahh well, gonna enjoy them whilst I can! Was even eyeing up an IS F... and an LC500...🤣 and an IS300 sportcross as dog-mobile!
  18. Loveeee the interior on these... to look at, could imagine being a possible ball-ache to care for if used regularly. Have always had bad experiences with light colour interiors. Interesting comments about the spec and history, so I guess the 'right price' with fees factored in, could be a solid investment.
  19. Believe it when I see it, 2025 though, fml I'm impatient 😆
  20. Super jelly, want one for the Mrs but currently out of buget so will wait for a potential used market one in next year. I tend to never opt for dealer 'ad ons' regarding the paint, usually a waste of money and as easy as ceramic coatings are to apply, doesn't mean the person applying has a clue what they are doing. Also no guarantee the one they use is any good. If you are keen on ceramic coating, have a detailing firm with experience do it. I've always opted for service plans with all our cars, but I however pay them in one hit and use that as leverage for discount and nice to know I've fixed the price for however many I bought (usually 2 or 3).
  21. @NemesisUK mine has been in the same part of my wallet for the past 4 years 😆 no cards scrambled, no signs of breaking, has only been removed to change the battery or hand over to Lexus for servicing. Couldn't be without it!
  22. @KayCee just found this from @ColinBarber on a thread from 2020 discussing the same issue: 'Not really sure why it wouldn't be. It is just a key in a different form factor, programmed the same way, and the mechanical key part cut the same way. They are very expensive though. Use a different dealer if unwilling to help, or purchase a blank one for a vehicle that comes with one as standard and find an independent to program it for you. Don't be tempted to purchase one cheaper from the US or Japan, they don't work with European vehicles due to using a different radio frequency.'
  23. 99% sure I have seen on the FB group someone who got one direct from Lexus in the past. Guess it is the luck of the draw with how knowledgeable/ caring your local dealer is 😆. As @F.A. states, the F's have them (honestly couldn't live without it), so why the 450h couldn't is beyond me!
  24. Just resting on some strategically placed bits of wood 😆
  25. Have purchased Dying Light 2, but whenever I have free time so does the Mrs and she gets TV priority 😆, might install a gaming room in the new unit... I've lost the most amount of time to Skyrim, but I was at uni... the shadow of games are by far my favourite! Got the Mrs into gaming too, but she finds Lego Hobbit difficult so don't think she's ready for the big leagues yet 🤣
