  1. As above, Amayama or megazip to locate part number. Have ordered from Amayama before with success, also use rockauto, or just putting 'Toyota + part no.' into ebay and going on an adventure! And by adventure, I meant, discovery of what other cars share your parts!!!
  2. I'm not that clever! I just went through a phase of wanting a JDM wagon and that side profile is fairly distinct! 😛
  3. Is that an Odyssey? I was looking at one of these a longggggg time ago. Shame to see another F get sold, but JDM wagons are just cool af!
  4. He's an independent, I can certainly ask but I am sure its within his capabilities, he's done a lot of work on my LS and I trust him. Depending where you are in Hampshire, he might be able to come to you, but again I can ask. If you want to pm me, can swap details so I don't become the middle man 😛
  5. Fair enough, hopefully someone may fire some recommendations your way that is local to you, failing that how 'West' are you? I do have someone over by me but could be a trek, workshop is GU34 area if you wanted to see travel time 🙂
  6. I think @BillNick installed his himself and wrote a guide on this forum (may require some searching) and from what I saw and a brief discussion with him, it is very DIY-able. Might be worth a look and/ or chat before forking out £ for an install.
  7. I am 31 with coming up for 7 years NCB and I have just renewed at £560ish, 8k miles per year, garaged. I would be inclined to blanket loads of comparison websites, tweak your excess, mileage and most importantly start date. Further in advance (think the sweet spot is like 20-25 days in the future) the better to have a reduction in price and also try the start date being end of month. I would say I generate about 20 quotes and test the variables for best outcome. I delayed insuring my LS as immediate insurance was £400, end of the month was £179. Bargain! Obvs I know they are totally different cars, but just an example 🙂
  8. Does the driver just hold a squat when driving? 🤣 those seats barely look sat in!
  9. Amazing! It wasn't a poke of 'wtf did you buy that for', was just curious as RC F to a 928 is a decent jump. Love hearing the stories/ inspirations behind a car purchase! Hope you enjoy it.
  10. What made you go for this? Looks in lovely condition from the pictures, such an odd shape but unmistakeable!
  11. @Cezar B Sad to see you leave F, but still remain with Lexus! Hopefully we'll catch up at some point man, it has been too long! Have to say the LS is a beauty, had an extended test drive a while back and it really is special. Hope you enjoy 💪
  12. Without being disrespectful to owners, they are just the ugliest. The 400 is a better shape in my eyes. It was a hypothetical question, if it is mad amounts of effort and others say so, like yourself, then I was happy to leave my interior as is and get a re-trim, was just exploring...
  13. My white LS interior is shot so likely needs retrimming, so now is the time to decide to upgrade or not. So I quite fancy the luxury recline/ massage etc type seats in the back. My question(s) therefore being, did the 400's ever come with such a package, if not, does said package from a later car i.e a 430 fit/ could be made to fit? Any other suggestions welcome on how to achieve this, have recently stocked up elbow grease and patience 😉
  14. Looks mega! The one I'm restoring is in same colour scheme but grey interior and obvs a later mk. Have you shared this on the LS forum? The other I bought, I genuninely thought was grey but turns out to be a pale green!
  15. You mean, you added £265 of smile juice 😉 I'm hoping the stars never align where I have to fuel the NX, both LS's and the GS all in one day, would be enough to make me need a £5 pint! 🤣
  16. Funnily enough, I've just bought another one... 1996 though, is mint with near full Lex/ Toyota service history. Will probs drive it a bit but was bought as a semi-investment. If yours is the one I think it is, was discussed greatly on the LS forum as a positive benchmark for our cars value. The LS's go for strong money in the US, so lets hope the trend rubs off over here 😛
  17. Having gone through a few different options myself, I'll give you my 2 cent. Btw I like Michelin! 😆 The PSS are 'designed' for the car, but I found them to have essentially no rear end grip in anything but dry conditions. Drove B-roads on the daily route to work and it got silly that I couldn't have any 'fun' without lighting up the dash. These were low when I acquired the car, so possible factor as to their performance. PS4 - superb tyre, couldn't fault them other than I felt they wore out pretty quick.. (could be my driving style), handled amazing in wet conditions, even one day where I got snowed in at work, it managed to get me home. They are more of a road biased tyre say in comparison to PS4S (see below), so if you fancied a few tracks days in the car, I wouldn't consider them. PS4S - the only reason I put these on instead of another PS4 set was a discount code giving them to me for the same price. They are night and day the best tyre I've had and other than maybe seeing what the PS5 are all about, I'd stick with these. They are brilliant in all conditions and are designed to give you the option for a few laps on track as well.
  18. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1678839829108285 This is the one I am in, pretty good crowd overall 🙂
  19. The UK LS owners group on facebook pops up with some gems now and again. Seen plenty of amazing examples exchange hands. I am also on autotrader/ ebay/ car and classic on a daily basis. Do you have any specific colour scheme you are looking for? Happy to keep an eye out and then message you a link if something comes up 🙂
  20. Registered 1996, currently sat on reg L400 SMD, 93k miles, MOT history looks decent. Just seemed a bit silly to let it pass me by. Have checked its history a little more and it is due a cambelt. It will sit for one month unfortunately and be started and 'round the block' driven whilst I move things around. The 70 mile journey home was an absolute delight! I would like to put some DHP wheels on it as I feel it would really finish it off, not overly keen on current wheels but appreciate the OEM-ness and the fact they are mint does help.
  21. Hi I'm Kieran and I have a problem with buying cars! Advertised on LS owners on facebook, was this amazing example with fairly low/ mild miles. Reasonable price, from a lovely guy and an hours drive away. So why not?! It is completely original, Lexus/ Toyota service history up until recently, all alloys refurbed, essentially new tyres, new bushes, ariel, boot seal and discs/ pads all round. All the electronics inside work as they should. Checked a few areas for 'usual suspects', only thing that needs doing are the bonnet struts.
  22. If you are looking that way, 'The Shed' (Bordon) has successfully held car meets in recent months and a few car friends have reported back positively. Might be worth hedging bets and blanketing multiple venues? Apologies if that adds extra stress and confusion! I'm easy going and happy to go with the flow/ majority 🙂
  23. We'll create a secret handshake and let you in on it @Rob RCF, so we can all be RR boyzz 😆
